Finally the video I was looking for is available. Many thanks for the review and comparison of both models.
Thank you so much! After watching your videos I purchased the HomeBase 3 with two professional cameras. Added the solar wall light for our driveway gate and now was debating between these two cameras. While the wall light camera is great we realized there’s a lot more going on and need better coverage. I sincerely appreciate your reviews 🙏🏻
I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!
love your reviews, they always chemarks all boxes✅
Thanks for watching!
Thanks, excellent review.
I got the S340 and I’m a tell you right now. You can clearly see the PIR sensor is a dome shaped piece on the camera and picks up the motion not only instantly but from really good amount of angles the 4k new one PIR sensor is flat and hidden in the camera and definitely is taking longer to pick up motion and looking like it’s not gonna be as good of picking up the motion detection from different angles
It seems both detects good but I know the S340 occasionally detects from 35 feet away in my current setup.
Expensive
@@techagecctvcamera4350great constructive feedback.
I would love so see a video that compared the best cameras at different budget points as well as wireless and wired plus solar
Great review. I am looking to buy the s330
glad you made this video, i literally just posed this question on reddit a few days ago. overwhelmingly everyone said to go with the S340. I did, and it turns out it makes perfect sense as my area has horrible 4G service anyways.
Thanks for watching!
What is data costing for that sim card camera.?
@@RickyTy1 That's what I'm trying to find out
Appreciate your excellent videos. Was looking for a good wireless outdoor cam with floodlights. Saw your video on the blink system but still not sure if that good enough or there is better. Would appreciate your advise tx.
Thanks L.H.
You bet
Nice. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thanks for watching
I don't have any Eufy cameras, but I would definitely buy them when needed. Sofor now Reolink and Tapo are my cameras.
Thanks for watching!
Great videos as always. I had one question. Was thinking of jumping to Eufy from RING for better image quality cameras but was concerned about range. Ring has a range extender. What do you do if the Eufy camera is too far from the base station?? Thank you again.
Great reviews....your content is 5 stars.
Hey I think S330 has better picture quality especially at night. I will probably get a S340. I’m wiring my house for POE.
Nice tutorial
By itself, yes. But, if you have other supplemental lighting, there is not a lot of difference between the 2.
Thanks 😊😊😊
Hello life hackster I really love your channel and especially your reviews for the Eufy Home security cameras. After watching your many reviews I had decided to buy the Eufy E340 door bell with Dual cameras. I liked how it works so well I just purchased the Eufy Indoor Cam E220 (2K, 2-Cam Kit, Pan & Tilt) And I am very happy with it. Next I want to buy the Eufy Floodlight Cam E340 But I have some concerns, I was hoping you might be able to help me with. I want to mount this camera above my garage door facing the street, my house has vinyl siding and it is very thin and brittle, I know I will have to drill holes in it but I don't want to damage it any further than necessary nor do I want my camera to not be securely attached to the siding underneath. Underneath the siding is 3/4” inch (OSB) sheathing I know this camera weighs a little over 3 lb and it is not a cheap camera and I would hate for it to fall, so I was hoping you could make a video showing how I might mount this to the side of my garage.
Keep up the great work love your videos
Excellent!!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the comparison. I think I’m going to settle for S340.
Good choice!
Many thanks. 💐🌷👏❤️👍🌹💐
Thanks for watching!
Can you do one on the ring, spotlight, cam with the power option and the the solar panel to know which one is the best option?
I have mentioned this in my videos on Ring Spotlight Cams. You can change the power mode on them, wired is always going to be the best option because when wired, it will use camera based detection which can detect farther and more accurate and also will have a "real" pre-roll compared when battery or solar powered.
Can you review Imilab dual camera security camera
I cant find a review of the NEW Reolink RLC-823S2 is it worth upgrading from the RLC-823A 16x . Only difference I see it the SC has spotlights and color night vision
Is it possible to get notifications for Eugy camera's when it's in live stream mode? I can't seem to get my S350 to send me notifications when it streaming live.. maybe it can't?
Thank you for the informative video, I need one thing to clarify If I purchase the Eufy S340 (Solar) and connect it to the home base, will it record 24-hour footage in the home base or only when there is motion?
Motion only.
@@LifeHackster which camera you recommend for 24-Hour recording in eufy ?
is there a eufy flood light that uses batteries?
On the 4glte camera, Did you have any issues linking it to your account? Mine simply won’t link. I have tried connecting it to my WiFi, nothing.. I have tried connecting it via 4g lte, nothing.. any thoughts?
I’ve got a yard with a reeeeaaally long driveway, like 100ft. Are there any eufy cameras with ai motion detection instead of PIR that might be able to pick up a person and notify me from 50-100ft away? I’m even open to having an interior camera pointed out a window if necessary
A wired or plug in camera will have camera based detection. The only thing on Eufy is that its AI detection is limited to around 30-40 feet. What you will need is a wired in camera that has an optical zoom function which you can zoom in to the area you want it triggered. That way you can set it to notify you even when the person is 100 feet away.
Hello, I have a question, is this camera worth it to watch animals such as snakes, mice, birds, or is it not able to take on these types of activities. I think they have had the camera for a long time and I would be interested to know so as not to make an unnecessary expense or if they know of another camera that achieves these results. Thank you or if someone reading this can let me know...me no like mouse lol
How long is the extension cable for the solar panel for both modules pls
I woud like to know this. Are there extension cable available
Delufinetly better with cellular for 24 acres off the grid phenomenal paired up with star link in the next weeks 🎉
Can you have the S330 connected to wifi but if wifi connection is lost it automatically switches to 4g? Then when wifi is back online it switches back to wifi? So 4g is a backup option and not permanent 🤔
Not at this time. I did mention this in my initial review.
Hello, my question is . If someone walks all the way to the right til the cam cannot rotate anymore. Does it stay in this position or does it return to the middle?
It will return to the set home position.
One thing nobody talks about is the false alerts that cameras have can you let us know how this camera does on the false alerts
Most if not all security cameras nowadays that have AI smart detection are pretty accurate unlike from cameras 10-15 years ago.
I have two of the Eufy garage controller/ camera setups. Their app is lacking. Especially when you compare it to the Reolinc app. I would not buy a Euft security camera unless they improve the app.
The 4G Camera, when losing internet connection will it use 4G as backup
Not at this time. I mentioned this in my review video.
You forgot to mention that the wifi on s340 is only 2.4 ghz while the s330 4k is both 2.4 and 5g. I have only verizon 5g so all 2.4 doesn't work
Eufy only works with 2.4 GHz wifi. Your Verizon 5G connects to 5G Cellular but has both 2.4 and 5GHz WIFI.
S330 has better audio and looks cooler... Night vision isnt that great.. s340 has no extra cost.. vs S330 I like to see a long term test on the battery life.
Ring has out another door stop if you need one..Btw.. Wyze is getting Better. Blink is great for losing your money. I like the new Eufy solar light cam.
Night quality is poor
I’m really disappointed by Eufy. I’m facing a down on my internet connection since yesterday morning and I discover that cameras are not accessible by lan without internet. This is unacceptable. Are they still recording?
Duhhh dummy
Nightvision is atrocious on both of them. Especially with the spotlight on.
8GB from Eufy is not enough.
8 gig is plenty that’s weeks of recording and will record over oldest video. If u haven’t saved what u need then you’re a lazy bone lol. You can also buy the homebase unit
@@ajpere4217 Nah, 8GB is merely a joke. These cameras make a 4k and 2k recording at the same time, if there is some movement around the camera you get no more than a few days and have to constantly check the recordings so they don't get overwritten. Without a homebase or cloud subscription this is not adequate for recordings with high resolution. I'd prefer if I can look back at recordings even if they are a few months old, since memory nowadays costs merely nothing.
They need a lot of work on this do called ai since their ai enable cameras loves to send annoying alerts on rustling bushes and shadows.
Mine only alerts and records when it detects a person. No false notifications or recordings ever since I had it. Did you just select human and/or vehicle in the motion settings? And unchecked all motion?
you need to test them for burn out with permanent outdoor lighting under the eaves mthat flash or strobe or scroll , i installed govee permanent outdorr lights under my eaves use as a decor and night light all night it caused the eufy solo cam lights to burn out and now it sconstantly switches from infer red to color cause the light change colors and scroll and flash
I guess it messes up their light sensor.
Hello Please Pin (Not Forcing) I’ve Been Watching Your Channel For A Long Time And You Do Tests But You Pay For The Stuff So Give This Man Respect 🫡
Just to clarify with these 2 cameras, they were sent to me by Eufy (check my individual reviews)
