Watching this made me feel sick. A father is a person who should be a protector of his daughter's. Hope he rots in prison. Your so brave honey to talk about this horrible ordeal. God bless you and help you heal.

This was so heartbreaking to even watch. Especially because as soon as a girl is born she is daddy's little girl. It's a very special bond that grows deeper through the years and strengthens as a daughter will share her hopes and fears. A daughter should feel comfortable to turn to her father on any given day and know he will be there to protect and to be her hero. A father is a daughter's first love and forever hero!
I cannot believe this poor girl had to go through this and have no support from her mother when she finally cried for help. I have an 8 month old daughter and this was truly hard for me to watch. I can't even imagine myself not listening to my daughter and instead blaming her.
I am so glad you are here sharing your story as it will help others and inspire women to come out and share their stories. You are such an amazing woman and I wish you lots of love, and peace. ❤

I have so much admiration for Navdeep for having the courage to share her story. It will help change the dialogue on our community of simply covering up these matters. I can't find the right words to express how my heart breaks for this girl who had to endure all of this at the hands of her parents. I am so, so sorry. I know so many girls must suffer in silence and perhaps hearing your story will help them a.) to feel not alone b.) to do something about the situation. Bless you, Navdeep. Sending so much love and positive thoughts your way. And thank you to everyone who was a part of bringing this documentary to light.

This was so hard to watch especially being a mother to a daughter myself. There is no doubt in my mind that her father was definitely an abuser but her mother sickens me even more. To allow your husband do that to your daughter and furthermore calling her the “other woman” is definitely a sign of someone with no soul. God bless you Navi and Thank You for taking the courage to not only fight this battle but also tell it to the whole world. You might not have your family but you have us all as your supporters. Lots of love and light to you and your daughter. 💕

I find this very sad that her own mother turned against her. In a sense, I can understand that she didn't want her life to change drastically, especially with children to take care of but, surely the community would have helped her. But to blame the child was horrendous. How did she eventually escape? Did she wait til she went to college? Thank you for spreading the fact that this is a reality in every race, every religion, all over the world. You are very appreciated. Peace.

Poor, poor girl! Can't believe the cruel mother too. Very brave of you dear Navdeep; parents are supposed to protect their little children not abuse them sexually, psychologically and physically. How awful to treat any little girl in this way, let alone your own daughter. I hope you can heal in some way and the rest of your life is relatively happy as you deserve all the love and support from everyone.

I am sure that you would be a great mother to your daughter and sharing this terrible experience would give courage to alot other victims. Honestly, I am so proud of you that you brought this out for the sake of other girls. I am actually thankful to you for warning us that such abuses could happen anywhere and at any age.

It's heartbreaking to know so many young girls/women have to manage unprocessed heinous acts forced upon them and many are probably trapped by a cycle of social/cultural stigma enforced by the very same mentality abusing them. Unfortunately in often lawless pockets of rural India/Punjab, I have heard that many men feel its normal taking advantage of females & MALES Such a sad state of affairs.
Please explore the fact that young MALE Indians have also been subject to sexual abuse and find themselves in a stigma riddled dismissive crossroad similar to young girls.
