Pepsi and coca-cola both own equal shares in each other. This is called circular ownership. And because of this the "rivalry" between them is just an illusion. If Pepsi does well, then coca-cola makes money. And I'd coca-cola does well then Pepsi makes money. It's all a marketing tactic.
In my honest opinion, pepsi is sweeter
@@GUSTAVO_06 I kinda hate most of Pepsi’s sodas, in my opinion they taste like the type of thing an 80 year old women would probably drink before smoking.
@@terrifictuna4163 really?
@@GUSTAVO_06 not really an opinion well unless you have different amount of tastebuds cuz its too sweet for me so i like coke more
@@GUSTAVO_06 Majority of people in blind tests prefer Pepsi. I feel like I read somewhere where the extra sugar makes it more attractive for taste tests over Coke

Pepsico didnt sold their Food Service Industry (KFC,Taco B and Pizza H), they tore it into 2 different company one with KFC and Pizza for oversea services and second retain all of them but only of US market.

They are snitch
Not only KFC. in my region Pizza hut, domino, Burger King other retail store on a city dont sold/serve a Pepsi drink brand
The only place i may could find served Pepsi only on Nearby Cinema
It has always amazed me that despite having a ridiculous amount of capital Coca-Cola refuses to diversify whatsoever. It is like the Saudi Arabia of companies.
I was drinking Coca-Cola when I watched this short
They are larger based on all of these products and services combined, but Coca-Cola is larger then Pepsi when it comes to sodas. If it was just Coca-Cola versus Pepsi / soda versus soda, hate to break it to you but Coca-Cola wins.
“Is pepsi ok?” No
Pepsi equals cannibalism. That's where politics enters the chat. Pepsi loves abortions for the Pepsi soda. But coca cola is the only company in the usa allowed to grow and process cocaine for medicinal use
Wish I could say that about Pensacola, we have a giant Coca-Cola plant so hardly any limited edition mountain dews here
Hmm I don't know why they are fighting*drinks coca cola and Pepsi at the same time*
So that's why Taco Bell only serves Pepsi and not Coke.

Lol the Pakistani cricket team was single handedly sponsored by Pepsi back in the day.
Ngl they taste the exact same, only difference is if u want to drink in a red can or a blue can.
They do have a slight difference I actually drank from both a Pepsi and a coke to see if there was a difference but i can see your point
Other than Taco Bell, Pizza Hut or KFC I don’t think most people have heard or seen those other places out side of the US. So is it really that big when most of those acquired restaurants are American only?
They keep coca cola in business so they have somebody to roast when they get bored

At one point in time pepsi was one of the world's largest naval forces
Also fun fact Soviet love Pepsi so much that they almost traded their advance battle ship submarine etc for it
In the largest deal ever between an American corporation and the Soviet Union, Pepsico expects to sign an agreement today to barter Pepsi-Cola for ships and vodka. The accord is valued at more than $3 billion.
The expected deal will greatly expand Pepsi-Cola's availability in the Soviet Union. And for the first time, Pepsico will take out its profits not just in Stolichnaya vodka, but in oceangoing freighters and tankers as well.
Since 1974, Pepsico has shipped its soft-drink syrup to the Soviet Union, made it into cola and sold the bottled product, taking out its profits in Stolichnaya, which is sold through a third party in the United States. Under the new deal, the Soviet Union will trade at least 10 tankers and freighters, ranging in size from 28,600 tons to 65,000 tons, with a total value of more than $300 million.
Cumbersome Bottles Used
The new agreement will enable Pepsico to more than double its Soviet bottling network and eventually make possible the nationwide distribution of soft drinks in aluminum cans and plastic bottles, rather than in the cumbersome glass bottles currently used.
President Mikhail S. Gorbachev of the Soviet Union has said that ending shortages and poor distribution of consumer goods poses a critical test for his leadership. The Pepsico deal is being closely watched as an indicator of whether Western companies can prosper in the Soviet market, which has 287 million consumers who have had little to buy.
Pepsico was the first large American company to enter the Soviet market, led by its former chairman, Donald M. Kendall, who is now the chairman of the executive committee. Mr. Kendall, a former co-chairman and now a director of the U.S.-U.S.S.R. Trade and Economic Council, has actively encouraged other Western businesses to invest in the Soviet Union. He once told an interviewer, ''If we can get the Soviet people to enjoy good consumer goods, they'll never be able to do without them again.''
Pepsico, which is based in Purchase, N.Y., had sales in 1989 of more than $15 billion, making it one of the largest consumer-product companies in the world. Its brand names include the Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut restaurants and Doritos tortilla chips.
''This deal is going to make the Soviet Union a very big business for us,'' said John Swanhaus, president of Pepsico's Wines and Spirits subsidiary. Pepsi consumption in the Soviet Union is small - currently about 40 million cases, or about the annual consumption of the Orlando, Fla., metropolitan area, with a population of about one million people. (That does not include nearby Disney World, where, in any case, the Coca-Cola Company has an exclusive concession.) Pepsi sells in the Soviet Union for the equivalent of 75 cents for an 11-ounce bottle.
Limited by Infrastructure
Although bottling plants are running at full capacity, Mr. Swanhaus said Pepsi's business was limited by such basic considerations as poor roads and the availabilty of trucks. ''There is no infrastructure in place if tomorrow you triple your business,'' he added.
In the new contract's most significant provision for the consumer-product sector of the Soviet economy, Pepsico will increase the number of bottling plants to 50, from 26, and modernize current production. The bottling plants each have an average annual capacity of about 1.5 million cases a year and have been running full throttle.
Pepsico currently sells its soft drinks in glass bottles, which are relatively expensive and cumbersome to deliver. The result is that distribution in the Soviet Union is generally limited to within 20 miles or so of the company's bottling plants.
Pepsico plans to introduce aluminum cans and plastic bottles in the next several years, which will make national distribution possible. These lighter disposable containers not only require less fuel for transportation but allow trucks to return from deliveries with other goods rather than cases of empties.
The $3 billion value of the contract represents retail sales of Pepsi-Cola and Stolichnaya vodka until the year 2000. That figure assumes a devaluation of the ruble, which is not freely traded on world currency markets. Using Moscow's official exchange rate for the ruble, the deal's value is closer to $9 billion: $1.5 billion for vodka and $7.5 billion for Pepsi in the Soviet Union, officials said.
Pepsico last year sold soft drinks in the Soviet Union worth about 300 million rubles, valued at $500 million at Government exchange rates. Stolichnaya sales in the United States totaled about $156 million last year. American law prevents Pepsico from operating restaurants where alcoholic beverages are served and importing alcohol, so Stolichnaya is sold in the United States through Monsieur Henri Wines Ltd., an importer.
The nonconvertibilty of the ruble is a substantial obstacle in the Soviet Union's bid to import more consumer products because many Western companies insist on ''hard,'' or convertible, currency. The Gillette Company, for example, has tentatively agreed to build a razor blade factory in the Soviet Union but is demanding hard currency payment.
Pepsico's profit is also slight because it must keep a relatively large support staff in the Soviet Union for a relatively small sales volume. Officials would not be more specific.
Boom in Imported Brands
Vodka sales in the United States have been flat, but imported brands have boomed. Stolichnaya is the second-largest foreign brand - after Sweden's Absolut - with more than one million cases sold last year. Stolichnaya's sales have fluctutated with swings in Soviet-American relations. Sales plummeted, for example, after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in December 1979.
Pepsico will use foreign exchange credits from the sale and leasing of the Soviet ships to provide some financing for two Pizza Hut restaurants scheduled to open in Moscow this year. Fast-food restaurants are expensive to establish in the Soviet Union because of the underdeveloped Soviet food industry.
The new Pepsico contract is scheduled to be signed in Moscow today by senior officials of the Soviet Commission of Agriculture and Procurement; Sudoexport, a shipbuilding agency; Sojuzplodoimport, which has authority over soft drinks and vodka, and Mr. Kendall.
So no, the battle ship deal never happened and if they even happened the only deal know officially to public was 10 tanker and not more

McDonald's:
Not telling the whole story. Pepsi was so unpopular that the only way they could get their product into fast food restaurants was to have PepsiCo purchase the restaurant and make it mandatory. PepsiCo became a food conglomerate which is a different kind of company than the Coca Cola Company, a beverage company.
For me? I prefer Pepsi after eating my rice meal 😂😂😂❤❤❤
To be fair, all of their bought brands suck, I never want to go to any of those places, they might have more money but that doesn’t make them better.
There not in the soft drink Business or the food business…..there in the empire business
what if we mix pepsi and cocacola?

Yeah but here's the crazy part is you can say that Pepsi's bigger and that's true but only in regards to them only businesses and multiple different industries when it comes to their core drink business Coke is way bigger
