      You are supposed to lather them up really well, then leave on for around 5 minutes to suffocate the fleas before rinsing them off.

      Average Girl depends how long their hair is but don’t bathe them with dawn as much as it could dry out their skin if they have short hair then bathe every 3 months or more medium hair then like about every 2 months and long hair then about 2 weeks.

    Are yall bathing yalls dog with watered down dawn soap or what, im seeing all these comments saying it doesnt work and it does work Ive done this on several animals and it always works I always rinse them in water then I apply as much soap as I need depending on how bad the fleas are make sure to wash them under their pits butt
    head and under their necks I usually add more soap to these spots because Thats where I see they usually hide at rinse go over some spots if you need too 🙃

    My sister's cat was discovered to have fleas. She knew something was up because her cat was sick to the point of behaving like she was near death. Is there something my sister can do to get her cat back to being healthy?

    I took care of my flea problem but I find babies and some on my cat (also babies) over and over for a few weeks now. I try to treat the carpet again with another chemical spray and while it seems like it helps some, I still find them. Since I already used a topical frontline equivalent, I can't do that again so I found a spray that you put on the coat of the cat and massage into her skin. I am unsure where they come from now or how they are surviving. Every area of carpet has been treated, bedding treated, laundry was sprayed then washed and put away from cat, even sprayed into cabinets and wall stripping. I honestly used so much spray today (away from me and cat) that I had to air out my apartment before returning. My vaccuum is broken and I don't know anyone reliable to borrow one from.

      It sounds like you might want to have your home treated professionally. Remove the kitties and make sure that they are flea free before bringing them back into your treated home. If they are outside felines, consider preventing them from going in the yard, this could be the source of the fleas. A Seresto flea collar might be best once your felines are flea free. www.entirelypets.com/seresto-fleacollar-cats.html

    Hello
    So for years we have used the spot on treatment on our dog from the vets and he's been fine upto now
    Currently he now has fleas
    We can see them
    We have used spray, washed him with flea treatment shampoo and physical picking them out if we are able to.
    Does anyone have any advice on other techniques or treatments??
    Can I use the spot on treatment more than once within the month??
    Any advice will be great 😊
    Thank you

    I can't afford Frontline or Advantix their too expensive. tried the Hartz Plus that gets rid of the eggs, larvae, and adult fleas but we took one of our dogs to a low cost vet and he said topical medicines don't really work cause it comes off if they swim or if they rub their back on the carpet or furniture and he recommended Comfortis and gave us like one pill for her to take last month to see how she would do but that didn't work she still had fleas. I noticed lately the fleas seem to hide under their belly and the pelvic region area. I see those things even after they get bathed still on them even after you see others come off. Been treating their bedding and blankets by washing them and vacuuming the carpets I just don't know where these fleas are coming from. I 've tried other things like Blue Dawn and Baking soda mixture also two different types of flea and tick shampoos,tea tree oil diluted in water also put epsom salt in their bath water but it's not killing them. I live in Texas where he have mild winters and hot summers is their anything that works?

    • @lilchi721
      @lilchi721 8 лет назад

      +EntirelyPets Began seeing them on my dogs starting this time last year. Began making a homemade flea trap last night and put it under a heat lamp and this morning I've found twelve fleas in the pan.

      +lilchi721 D/Earth (food grade, not pool grade) is a great way to naturally kill fleas in and out of the home >www.entirelypets.com/thomas-labs-d-earth-3-lb.html.
      It is cheap alternative to some home treatments and you can find articles on the internet on how to use it. I have used it with a bagless vacuum, although it was a bit messier that way.
      For prevention on your pet, Seresto Collars www.entirelypets.com/seresto-for-cats-and-dogs.html are cheaper than most topicals and last for 8 months. They can be worn during all activities, including swimming.
      Getting rid of fleas takes time, due to their life cycle. If you don't get them all before the end of a season (if you live in a region with distinct seasons) they cocoons will lie dormant, unable to be killed by any product until the next season, and you will have the same problem. Try to treat your home every week for 2-3 months and check your dog regularly. Don't forgot the outdoors!
      Good Luck!

      +EntirelyPets I've heard about D/Earth I might try it in the yard. By the way your website says the page isn't found. I can't afford the Seresto collars for my dogs and I don't want another collar on them anyway.

      food grade diatomaceous earth!
      for you and your pets.
      oral + topical benefits
      I found it online, when I needed a cheap remedy for my cat's worms/parsites. mixed it into wet food and knocked 'em out in less than 48 hours.
      you can place around perimeter of your home for barrier against ants /pests. it suffocates them.

    I have been using new guard oral medication and occasionally still find fleas. Is this normal?

    • @EntirelyPets
      @EntirelyPets  7 лет назад

      With oral medications - fleas that jump on your pet may take some time to absorb the medication. This is normal. If you notice an increased amount of fleas on your pet over time, you might want to try an alternative form of flea treatment. Fleas in certain environments can become immune to medications over time. We suggest Seresto Collars as an alternative is this happens to be the case. Trifexis is another great prescription option!
