The red interior in the CX-70 is also beautiful. It looks even better than their previous red interiors that had too much black leather on the doors

You do not “lose performance” when battery is depleted. I think you always have the electric motor assist on the PHEV, even when battery is too depleted for “electric only” operation. This is because the battery will never go below 20%. Just becomes a MHEV at that point.
You can also set the car to hold charge at 20% - which creates more than enough overhead for powerful acceleration
European CX-60 PHEV: when you put it into sport mode, the engine automatically starts to charge the high voltage battery up to 40%, so that the vehicle is able to deliver peak performance at any time.
CX-70/90 will do the same.
I'd buy a CX90 and put the spare(3rd) row in my backyard😀 (does it make sense to you? - Tesla's Model Y 3rd row cost thousands of $, while this 3rd row cost zero $)

Surprised since you are so tall you didn't mention the reclining and sliding fore and aft rear seats to make the back more comfortable
Great review Drake! I really like the styling and would go with the 3.3 for sure. Personally I don't think most folks will know or care that the 90 is a 3 row and the 70 is not but I guess the Mazda folks thinks otherwise. Hope that you are doing great!
Drake, did Mazda improve the responsiveness of the inline 6 with off the line acceleration?
