Official Shen is the tragic figure in this part of the story , knowing well that Elder Princess is out of her mind to rebell against the young Emperor.

I watched all of this drama, with pain in my heart.... I absolutely loved Feng Shaofeng in "Story of Minglan". He was real, fun to watch- a good hero despite his beginning character flaws. As the general in this drama, he was a cold fish, expressionless, with no depth. I actually was fascinated by his face and voice- he did not look like the Feng Shaofeng I've come to appreciate in previous dramas. Turns out that his face was filtered. (How do they do that!??) And his voice was dubbed by someone else!!!! I'm left bereft, longing for a great venue for Shaofeng to strut his real stuff! PLEASE- let your next drama show YOUR NATURAL SELF!!!! Also, I absolutely do not like this Mu Zhuo Hua.... though she was a righteous rebel, her character was way over the top- brash and overbearing, too much like a brash, tactless modern maven. This character can't compare to the nuanced, subtle yet strong women of Minglan & Qinglian (in "Blooming Days"). Come on, writers- give us depth, engaging tension and challenging conflict.
