Poor Emperor.. he realized his love when it's already too late. He still remembers that she loves money 😂😂. It's so cute yet, so heartbreaking. He prep all dowry as if for his own bride, and when the nuptial wine cups were wrapped up.. he finally couldn't take it anymore.. the only way he could be able to see her every day was to make her his assistant... he did love her wholeheartedly.
She is his first love. She is probably the first woman that wasn't family or a servant that treated him honestly. That wasn't trying to get close to him for her own benefit. It was her honesty, integrity and intelligence that made both the emperor and Lord Ding fall in love with her.
At least this series had a real ending...not like most of these dramas that have a nonsensicle 5 minute ending to wrap-up 50 episodes of story. Well done.

But usually I don’t see that deep of a bow to the spouse in other shows so just found it really sweet he did that, just shows again how much he adores and respect her.
I have watched this drama several times and I have enjoyed it each time. The actors compliment each other and it is refreshing to see the FL from beginning to end being intelligent, having long-term and life-long goals . Very refreshing.
This drama was good. I have to watched the ending many times. Lord Ding was so cute how he keep his posture not to have big smile and his wife smile generously. The emperor and lord ding had a respectful relationship to each other. Well done, everyone. I hope everyone get an awards for this movie.

This was a beautiful drama, I loved it immensely! Loved the characters, even the villains. I thought it was beautifully tragic that the princess was able to sit in the throne she so desired as she died. I was so happy that the young emperor turned out to not be so pathetic, I was quite proud of him. Love a happy ending for the main couple!

I really appreciated this drama: the maturity and coherence of the characters and the relationships between them until the end. The ML always plays his role very well. The FL was equally good, I’m also seeing her other drama "Wonderland of love" with Xu Kai. But I want to say that I particularly liked the character Liu Chen, I had seen this actor in "Falling into your smile", but here his acting skills are definitely outstanding, I really enjoyed both his character and his acting.
