    There is a chance you have damaged the charger. Max output on that line is 100 watts. Its for a bulb not a inverter.

      I believe it started out damaged lol. Nothing in the manual says that circuit is limited but the manual itself is pretty limited.

      @@ToysforWatts page 9. No more than 5 amps. D00 output timer.

    • @ToysforWatts
      @ToysforWatts  2 года назад

      My page 9 is talking about maximum input at the different voltage options. The load outputs aren't mentioned anywhere in the book that came with mine. The MakeSkyBlue controller mentions a 3a max on the load outputs and I assume it's probably the same. I'm running with it, though :D, worst that can happen is it continues to not work (it never really has).

      @@ToysforWatts It clearly says on the manual (quoting): "5) The load output is only for DC load less 5A current"

      5A... not 100W, so it will depend on BB voltage

    i repair and sell inverters and i do not sell Powmr MPPTs,they consistently fail on controllng the lifepo4 batteries cutoff voltage and damages them, it could even start a fire if the customer did not also use the BMS ; and there is no kind of warranty because they are in china avoid it goes POW Mr

    Unfortunately yes I think the single mosfet that powers your output load has left the chat. Maybe it's shorted internally? You can see it if you look under the PCB right under the load terminals. However even if it was working I think you'd have trouble. I tried using the load output on this charge controller and I think it requires the solar going to 0v and coming back online for the "day" to reset and mosfet to come back on. As opposed to it turning back on as soon as the voltage of the battery floats back up into the reasonable range.

      It is a small surface mount relay controlling the output. 100% guaranteed he welded it closed.

    Reset you maximum voltage from 14.5v down to 12.5v. I think it should work

      yeah I don't like the thing, it's always been problematic. I'm out of relays for a couple days, though, so I dug it out of the graveyard bin to see if it'd work for this.

      This is pure bad usage of the controller...

    • @fookschool
      @fookschool 2 года назад

      Yea, the powmr is one of the best for the cost hands down! Price means nothing if you get a reliable unit that does what it is rated for. It is an mppt controller meant for solar panels to charge batteries, not as a load controller. Only missing feature is boost function. Which if I recall correctly, the controller you listed does zero mppt at all, just pwm control. What is this, the 90s still? Lmao.

    • @richpalmisano1740

      @@fookschool mppt on wind is not necessarily needed. If you k ow the power curve of your turbine you can set your peak and forget it.

    • @fookschool
      @fookschool 2 года назад

      @@richpalmisano1740 problem is you are usually missing power at the start of the wind turbine spinning up until it reaches pack voltage. The larger the wind turbine, the more power that is lost. A buck/boost mppt controller that has a programmable voltage curve will net quite a bit more power in areas where wind is less than 15mph continuously. Even at higher speeds the tradeoff of voltage for more amps nets more power. There isn't many wind capable mppt controllers though but the benefit is there if it is added.

    Honestly nag the supplier for a solution or a replacement.

  • @ahlidap

    DC Load --> Relay--> LOAD
    Inverter Load, should just power your relay, that should have all necessary connection to provide power from battery to Inverter.
    Again, inverter load will just trigger the relay.
    You've been using this wrong for too long, starting with not using it for what is was made.
    All you need is a simple relay driver... pointless to try use "mppt" from batteries...
