Hi my bmw x5m has got po012 and po022. Can clear the codes and get into boost but it shuts the car down. I changed the battery cause the other was a bit weak. But I’m in almost limp mode now
I have a 2010 ford expedition XLT EL with a 5.4 V8, popped this code up this morning. Did some research and it claims to point to camshaft position sensor, what are the odds of it being something different, was gonna change both sensors and see what happens but i know its likely that it can be something else
@@nondainc only codes are for the stereo because I have an aftermarket stereo. Only code is 0022. But I will take the car Saturday to Volkswagen and let them check. It drives normal besides white smoke from exhaust but coolant is still sitting at Max and no boost. But I will definitely have Volkswagen check it out. Thanks
I keep 5W-20 and 5W-30 oil for my two cars. Can using the wrong oil cause this code to pop up? I might have grabbed the wrong oil when I changed the oil last...🤷♂️
@@GatesRapes interesting. Maybe I'll try that. For anyone who's following up on this for their own cars, I changed my oil again to eliminate the possibility that the wrong oil was in there, it ran smoother for a while but it's reverted to having the same issue. Although the check engine light does turn off every once in a while unlike before.
Hello, as you are receiving more than one error code, we highly suggest getting your vehicle visually checked by your local mechanic for further diagnosis.
I have an 05 Audi Allroad Quattro 2.7t, I have the P0022, P0491, and P0492 codes. Car would crank but not start. I changed the oil and it started running again for about 4 days, just went to start it again and it won't start. I tried to search for the Camshaft Oil Control Valve online, but I cannot find it for this model. Is the part called something else on this car?
Hi Cameron, an oil change is recommended and please follow which viscosity of oil you should use. Let us know if the issue will still persist after an oil change. Also, double check if there's any other trouble code that registers along with this code.

Hi Cameron, since you are getting multiple error codes, it is best to get your vehicle visually inspected by your local mechanic. If you are not satisfied with the diagnosis of your first mechanic then I would suggest to get a second opinion. Have it visually checked by other mechanic.
Hello, we suggest to fix this as soon as possible as this code can severely affect the drivability of your vehicle and extended driving with this can cause internal engine damage.

Is it a camshaft position sensor or a crankshaft position sensor
I changed out the intake valve and I am still getting the p0022 error code. Do I need to clean or change the exhaust one also?
@@lilkgb477 It may be a stretched timing chain.
