I owned an imported white Evo 2 gsr back in the 90s it was great fun and really quick for the 90s, 0-60 was around 5.4 and unlike the Imprezas it was quite happy to oversteer on demand even in the dry. I remember taking a mate for a run in it and giggling like schoolboys while I had a 1/4 turn of opposite lock on out of a bend with lets call it motorway speed on the clock 🤫😃 After having owned a track prepped Lotus Sunbeam with 210bhp going sideways was not unusual but the way the 4wd fired the Evo up the road while sideways was simply gob smacking. Im sure you will have a whale of a time in the Evo 6 😎

Please don't mess with it. The wheels are fine. The turbo is big enough. Clean, original cars in this condition don't crop up every day. Simply enjoy it and preserve it for future generations.
Dont think I have ever had another car as fun as my old Evo. These things are mega, the power delivery is so addictive! Stock frame turbo circa 400bhp is all they need to push most stuff out of the way on track.
She has to be one of my favourite youtube car channel out here, she looks peng and same with her car's. Also, love the car, smiles per gallon and not miles per gallon 😄 Hope she could give some advice on insuring these powerful beasts
Took me twenty years but I finally bought one too. Its a rule that evo brakes must screech. Noisy exhaust is fun until you drive 4hrs to the track and need earplugs.
people don't really understand how responsive these cars are.... the light weight combined with the gearbox/final drive make these things feel like an absolute weapon... congrats on an amazing purchase!
As an ex Impreza P1 owner and someone who's only ever owned 2 door cars, the Evo VI/VII TME is the only 4 door car I would like to own. Nice one Becky, I am sure your brother made a weapon of a car!

I had a fully built engine with a closed deck bottom, forged crank and pistons, arp studs etc. I kept the VF25 as I liked the quick response. It was only running 323hp and 330flb , but it could take more if I put a bigger turbo and intercooler. I had uprated the clutch to much higher 2 plate, it had a Heyward and Scott cat back exhaust, custom made sports CAT. I had the JDM Nardi wheel installed. I was also able to get a set of the rare Prodrive/Alcon front brakes, which I then had a 2 part godspeed brake hub and disc combo at 330mm. It was quick and it was able to eat up any road surface with ease. Sadly the bodywork needed so much doing in the end and my health was failing me at the time. I now have an E82 135i with 483hp and 506flb , which is an utter giggle!
Those Evo 6's are a bit of a rarity nowadays so you've been very lucky to get such a nice example from your bro. Looking forward to seeing many future videos with it. Next time I'm in your neck of the woods you can take me out for a spin in it... I wish lol. Looking fab as always, stay safe 🥰

I had one back in the day, nice drive but I always remember once the fuel level showed half a tank on the gauge before you knew it, was showing empty LOL !! And those squeaky front brakes !
I used to have a subaru impreza wrx sti and used to love when pulling out or roads and flooring it as turning and it would all 4 wheels spin sideways was so much fun lil
It has the same Brembo brake squeel as my sons Evo 6 lol, his is tuned with 1000cc injectors, e85 and has a set of Kelford 272 cams and no muffler, sounds wicked but crikey it's loud, they're the best looking model I reckon and heaps of fun to drive.
Had a mint stage 1 Evo6 GSR running 380 Bhp. Favourite car I’ve ever owned and I’ve had some nice stuff. Would love another but I’d really struggle to find one as clean as mine was.
Take the silly Hedgehog thing of the roof. Get a HKS Super-Dragger straight through de-cat exhaust, HKS Racing Suction Kit, goes where the Battery sits, you’re going to re-locate that to the Boot, the Battery. Upgrade the Injectors & fit a bigger upgraded water pump, fit a anti-lift kit & change the Sparks to Iridium Sparks a cheeky little re-map to make it all fit right...... You can put a Apexi Boost Control where the Radio Sat. You’ll be far too busy to be fucking about with a radio anyway......... That will do for a start...

Chances are the squealing brakes will be due to someone binning the OEM "half shims" during a brake pad change. They need to go on the back of your brake pads (irrespective of whether the aftermarket pads have their own full-shims already). had to fix the same issue on an evo 5 and 2x evo viii's. Get genuine shims and chuck them back in on the rear of your pads - part MR475618 for fronts , MR493188 for rears. They have particular directions with arrows too , plenty info on google

Anthracite wheels on white car looks great! White wheels will be a pain to clean and won‘t pop like they would on a red car for example. I say keep them!
Sweet buy there B, one of the most iconic cars from the rally era ! Used to work on these as a rally technician , and these things are not only sick out of the box but also you can tune as little or much as you want. You need a nice exhaust on her maybe custom stainless and get some flames shooting out 😂😎🐝 Take Care drive safe and enjoy x
I wouldn't advise putting Nitrous on it as it causes issues with the cylinders, Forged engine, 2.3L Stroker and Garrett GT35R and you won't need nitrous ;)
I had a 1991 eclipse GSX with same engine and trans... i highly reccomend the HKS valve controller with the boost controller... it would be a period correct addition that will rock your world! Congratulations!
Might sound a bit sad but I’d think about a seat cover for any longer journeys. Those 6 seats are nearly all destroyed these days and this one looks an exception. They are getting towards classic & be cool to preserve it. Also, I’d regularly ACF50 it underneath as Evos rust like crazy. Congrats though and look forward to the journey.
Drove an Evo 8 years ago but bought Subaru Impreza P1 instead, but always had the Evo itch and watching your video makes me want one even more now lol!
Nice car, there was never really any difference between the 5, 6 just the wings due to change in rules at the time. Our's done over 100,000, 1 owner and used as ever day car. Still looks like new. Squeaky brakes means not using the pads enough, usual thing on a evo

Yeah the gauge is very inaccurate. Halfway really means quarter tank remaining. It just drops after that.
