Helikon and Direct Action are both Polish companies, their US office and shipping is located in Malta,NY just north of Albany. Great products. I have a Direct Action Dragon Egg bag, its great.
Got the large a couple months ago. Loving it. Even with the addons I purchased from Helikon It was still less expensive than the other brands you mentioned. Does not look as tactical either. Also using the Bandicoot. Loved that video too by the way. Great work as always. Thank you Sir.
love your channel. I love how you give all the sizes and dimensions of all the products on your videos. #gideonstactical for life! love the videos keep up the amazing product reviews!
my budget tip: check out used "manhattan portage bag" on ebay. they are usually made from 1000 cordura, i have mine since 1999 and it's still going strong. they even sent me a replacement buckle for free years later. make sure to look for the size you want. be patient and you can snatch one for under $30 incl. shipping.
FYI there is no English review on youtube on the H.T. Wombat MK2 ^^ was looking for it to make a decesion between the Bushcraft Satchel and the Wombat. Looks like a great greyman style bag. Especially in Grey Melange
could be a good adventure bag for slinging. The interior pockets would suggest that its sewn for water portage. Which is going to stretch the design. Interesting to see if it holds up, and for how long... Basically, though, seems worth the price...
Is the laptop compartment floating or does your laptop sit on the bottom of the bag? I worry about sitting a bag on the ground too hard if the laptop will contact it.
I dunno if you've seen this bag or not....but I think you'd like it. Added to the back of your battle belt. The Helikon Tex Essential Kitbag. Around $55 on Amazon. I think it would compliment your Run 'N Gun setup. www.helikon-tex.com/en_usd/tb-ekb-nl-essential-kitbag-nylon.html
Great video mate! Is it possible that you can review a bag from the brand Mil-tec? It's a German company and is making some great products also in the budget range! Worth the look 🙂
If u want premium u gotta pay for it if u want crap theres nothing wrong with it but this is not pricey compared to other similar products with same materials
Yeah, "Budget" isnt what I would call it, but it is indeed more affordable than many of the other brands he mentions early in the video. It is a GREAT Value, but "Budget" is subjective I guess.
@@treybailey886 All I'm sayin' is that $70.00 is not in my budget. Ya can't fault a guy for bein' poor. I make do with my Rothco bags and Outdoor Products backpacks. That's what us financially deprived folks do.
I'm cheap...like stupid cheap. But I gotta disagree with both Robert and Troy. This is a well made bag made from good materials but, I wouldn't call it premium...more like a $45 bag....has little to no organization...so really to make it into the what the higher priced bag already are...it's gonna cost ya quite a bit more. But also, when you buy a $20 bag this size, you can't be expecting much from it. Materials will likely be crap...weak zippers, bad stitching...extra stiff cloth....they won't be worth the $20 yer paying either. But if you can save up a bit more...like $35 - $45, you can have a great bag, made well with decent materials that doesn't break the bank. The chinese makes some great stuff these days but you have to pick and choose, climbing threw the crap. But it's out there.
"budget" is a relative term. If you're used to maxpedition, and other high-end stuff, a $70 bag might very well be a budget option. Also you have to think of it in terms of what you are getting. A "budget" race car could end up being more expensive than a good family car.

It's actually the same company.

I have the large one in the same colors and love it. It carries everything I need. Plenty of pockets and well designed.

Helikon makes great stuff and is reasonably priced.

The shoulder strap was the first thing that stood out to me. The pads on each of my messenger bags never quite stay where I like them.
Thanks for the video, dude
Sharing this in my budget group on facebook.
This bag is almost perfect for what I need. Dang it.
finally review of this bag. Thank you
Glad to help.
Nice, thorough review. The bag is OK, but I prefer my RapDom Tactical messenger bag.
Thanks for you well produced and well done reviews
I have one too. It has held up good I just wish it was slightly larger.

great video...can't wait for my Large urban courier bag to get here! Thanks for the review!
Amzon is now $73 for this but colour options are very limited. Helikon offers admin pouches that glom right on with hooknloop.
Nice bag & good price for the quality.
IDK about using it as an EDC bag but it looks like it would make a decent fishing bag.

I have the exact same husky zipper pouches in my EDC!
Could you look at the helikon Tex ground hog backpack? I'm debating between the courier and the ground hog
Very good review! thanks.
What do you think about Hazard 4? Have you ever used/reviewed any of their packs?
Wonderful review. Thanks.
Such a thick strap

How does this bag do in the rain?
Expensive purse.
$70.00 is NOT budget in my home. $20.00 might be budget. That bag is too pricey.
