In this video I review this Casio solar atomic g-shock men's watch, the GW-M500A. This Casio solar atomic g shock is the most affordable solar atomic watch i have found by far! It is feature packed, durable, practical, and one of the best bargains you can find on the market. Check out the full review and feel free to leave me any comments or questions about this awesome watch!

Best watch, have it for 20 years.
I've owned the black version of this watch for almost three years now with zero complaints. This has been with me snorkeling, snowboarding, hiking, gym, drinking, and it hasn't slowed down!
I bought mine at Walmart back in 2009 still wearing it today. Still has that new look after 13 years and it lasts up until the year 2099 this watch can last you a lifetime
I've had an older version for over 10 years. Still working like the day I bought it.
Me too. The one with the Time Memo button instead of the Forward and Reverse? I've been wanting to get the new one, because I want the countdown timer, and mine doesn't have it. But mine WON'T. FREAKING. BREAK!!!
It just keeps going and going!
I can't really justify buying the new one when there is absolutely nothing wrong with mine. Lol!
How long does a whole circles solar bar charge last? Also how about an Update!!!

I bought this way h when it came out which was around 2006/7 I use it to wake me up for work. It's always on time too with the Atomic settings! It has module 2870.
I got mine it 2016 and it still works great. I weld for work. The sparks did a damage on the display but it still works fine . A great beater watch for welders.
I got the blue version of this watch . Literally one of the best watch purchases I’ve ever made. You won’t regret buying this in my opinion. It does everything you need . Good price
I also own the blue version. Got it on clearance at Walmart for $25. I originally wanted the grey version but couldn't pass up the deal.
I've been wearing this watch for over 17 years. It's my work watch, outdoors, adventure, swimming, etc... Can't go wrong with this one😉
GW-M 500 & GW-M 530 the most wearable watches in US AIR FORCE specialy in F-15 EAGLE PILOT'S
I'm starting to add G shocks to my watch collection and after watching your review I just bought this one. Thanks for the review!
I got an amazing deal on this watch on a closeout sale at Walmart. Great watch!
I received mine as a birthday present in 2008 from Jordanian army guy I was working with in Afghanistan. It is still going strong. It is the longest item that I have
I just picked this watch up at wal mart for $22! This is the most watch for the least amount of money I’ve ever owned. What a workhorse.
I just walked out of Walmart with the exact same watch for $22 - found this review to learn more about what I just bought and saw your comment. Crazy price for this - $22 is incredible!
I owned the original version of this watch I bought back in 2007, when it had the completely worthless Time Memo feature in place of a countdown timer. Also the left side sub-dial didn't count seconds it went by minutes. I gave it away to a friend who could use it after I had bought a different G-Shock, But despite it's flaws it was a solid piece and my first G-Shock. I feel so nostalgic watching this I've been so tempted to buy a new one.
I got the larger pathfinder atomic & got my wife this version great watches
Everyone NEEDS one of these....
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you should always read the owner's manual because you will learn a lot of features that you didn't know about.
That is very true
I was about to disagree with you, but actually you're right
It can pick up on, at the most two, of the "atomic" radio time correction towers - the two closest.
I just got the beautiful blue colored version of this where the stainless steel bezel thats regular steel colored on his model is Ion blasted blue with a light blue lcd background, all wording on the dial is blue, The G-SHOCK logo is blue, and the G on the EL light button is blue, much prettier than this version, I got it at Wal-Mart for 95 dollars, the MSRP for the blue is 130 dollars, Yes I paid 10 extra dollars for the blue but the rarer colors are more expensive, it is an awesome watch and is by far the prettiest G-SHOCK I own, in my opinion no watch beats a Casio G-SHOCK, ghe build quality and technology in them is second to none, they literally dont even have a major competing brand, Timex are junk watches. If you have not gotten this watch check your local Wal-Mart for the rarer Blue color, its the prettiest shade of blue on the metal I have ever seen and the band is still black for the contrast, still very manly but makes more of a statement on your wrist.
I have this same watch.. still works BUT ive had to replace the band once a year every year! id suggest getting the steel band for this watch!!
What steel band?
change the rubber band to metal one@@gpunique
I have used the gshock wathes in the past, but this one's battery does not last past three years, Is it not water resistant? I am replacing the battery now. But, may have to go back to the 3088.
Just bought one today.
Hey can you change the strap of this watch?
Does the three circles reflect too much to glare at your eyes?
Is the Alarm loud?
I want to buy but had these few things stopping me.
It sure does look great.
This is my opinion also
Thanks for your no nonsence down to earth detailed review lm in my early 60’s and l wanted a strong watch without the cost and bother of maintenance or battery changes ang with a large time display so l don’t have to use my glasses to read the time lm used to g shocks and l know l can trust them l don’t have thousands of dollars to blow on rediculous lt priced Swiss watches that need servicing at a cost of hundreds this is a strong sturdy watch it feels and looks like nothing could kill it ! Just what l needed in my later years so thanks Casio and thankyou for you thorough review. -RG ,Sydney Australia
I bought this same watch about 13 years ago. The back light stopped working, so I sold it really cheap. I've had several other G. Shocks since, but none have compared. I currently have an Aviator and the battery died in less than two years. Sooooo... i'm getting that battery changed. And then im going to sell it.
I want this same watch that you're showing. But, I want the all black one. NOT the chrome one.
Try gw-6900. The same funcions.
I took your advice checked it out. But on April 9th, on my wedding anniversary, my wife bought me a G Shock Tough Solar Mudman. Same functions plus a Digital thermometer and compass. It also looks more manly 😄
Nice watch Mate. I love my Rangeman GW-b9400
*_You sir are the man, esp. for going through the different modes of the watch. My only complaint for this model is that the time isn't displayed in the stopwatch & timer functions. Bad bad bad!!! Get it together Casio!!_*
Dude stop making such good videos, you got me confused between GWM56101 and this ;p
Great video man,
I am confused between the two, both have multi band, solar and 200m water resistance.
Both are surely used by military,
Take care and keep the videos coming :)
PS the advantage of digital watches is l sometimes forget what day it is and l will always have the day date and month there correctly without having to adjust it 5 times a year l love casio’s vintage watches but the numbers are just too small for me to read-thanks again !
Bought this watch today at Wal-Mart on clearance for $22 plus tax.
I just read in one of the comments a viewer picked one of these up at Walmart for $25 lm Australian and that is unimaginable to an Aussie we don’t have Walmarts down here and Target Kmart dont sell name brand watches ony junk from god knows where we can only by real watches from jewellry stores or online it’s hopelessly expensive at jewllry storers rarely will you find a g shock under $200 and since the endless lockdown in Sydney online sellers have upped their prices.because jewellers are all shut down Talk about a rock and a hard place !! But a solar G shock for $25 OMG !!!!
Strap?
The manual definitely helps
THIS WATCH IS SAME OF THE WAVECEPTOR G SHOCK ?
Did u know about gw 002bj coz i can't find about it on utube..
Good choise for a beater watch 👍nice and informative video 👌
Stefaan Vandevenne Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Can a nato or zulu strap be put on this watch?
No, you're pretty much limited to the G-Shock straps. It's part of the shock protection. The shape and material of the band actually acts like a spring if it falls that way. It's built to absorb the impact.
hello how many inch is your wrist????
For under 90 bucks, it's kinda hard to beat an atomic/solar powered watch as durable as a G-Shock.
I love casio
