Customer brought in this Civic with an odor issue they weren't quite sure what the odor was from.
Upon investigation removing the cabin air filter I found what seemed to be a nest from a rodent. First I removed all of the residual dirt and debris that was in and around the cabin air filter.
I then proceeded to vacuum out the hole blower motor housing. From there I treated the vehicle appropriately with the corresponding chemical system used to remediate the odors.
The problem was most more severe because the rodent was all over the engine as well.
All of the droppings in and around the motor left a terrible stench.
The problem with this is when you're using the fresh air mode and you're running the engine a lot of those odors in and around the motor can make its way into the fresh air system and into the interior of the vehicle.
So if you're looking to address odors for your vehicle consider the personalized services of Auto Sparkle detailing.

cheez, dont use a deceptive title to try and do your marketing. It turns people off, telling people that they cannot do things themselves, that you are the answer to everything. Just a marketing tip

So I have a 2014 Corvette that I had parked at my previous home in my garage. Sold that home and moved and now I have it parked in my barn. Which is a shop with concrete floors, etc. So she is a garage queen and is rarely driven. So this summer it take her out a couple times and a few weeks later I go to move it and I fire it up and the a/c comes on and it smells like a rotten minnow bucket!!! So I basically pull the interior out and find slim and none. Pop the hood and I see mice droppings and then I pull the cabin filter out and jackpot. Mice had made themselves a nice little nest. So I vacuum out the cabin filter insert and I made a attachment for my shop vac using 5/8 clear tubing and vacuum out the a/c fan area and nuked the filter In take with Lysol and replace the cabin filter. I also bought some a/c condenser foaming cleaner and found the a/c drain and ran a can of foam up in it. Luckily I only had two chewed on wires and both were to coil packs that were easily repaired and the smell was gone. This last year I bought a mouse away and sat it underneath the car and hopefully it’ll keep them nasty things out!

Honestly to address any odor in a vehicle you need to get to the source.
I use a couple of solutions depending on the extent of infestation and odor.
I haven't found a one step cookie cutter solution for all odors.
The products I source are not over the counter methods.
Although I'm sure one can achieve acceptable results
