I listened to Death Angel in the 80s but then mostly forgot about them over the years. Two months ago, I saw Overkill (whom I followed for 32 years) and Death Angel in Boston May 11, 2019. I went for Overkill (also good), but I thought Death Angel dominated the night. They sound better than ever before! As an aside, Mark Osegueda was also really great to the fans, greeting a bunch of us when he got off the tour bus, and happily doing photos before going inside. I'm a born again Death Angel fan, and I can't get enough!

It was Death Angel, High On Fire, Exodus, Testament (I think it was Testament's Dark Roots Of Thresh Tour) I can't remember if there was a 5th band or not. Anyways, Death Angel kicked off the show as the opener and THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I was completely blown away by them! I didn't know what all to expect from Death Angel in the live, but I can say they stole the show. Testament, Exodus, and High On Fire, all 3 of them played and sounded pretty good that night. I'd definitely like to see these dudes live again. Interesting fact about DA: I'm pretty sure when DA dropped their debut album The Ultra Violence, 4 of the 5 members were under 18. Drummer was 14 and someone else was like 15.

These guys came to the navajo reservation years ago, smaller crowd and nobody was moshing until i got in the crowd.... they played over an hour and killed it, so much energy and technical ability. I didn't stop jumping around the whole show and it was contagious.
I love Death Angel because every album sounds different, but they're all still really good. Even comparing this new one to the last one, it's a completely new sound they have.
Death Angel are huge musical influence in my life and I love thrashing out and headbangin' to their music. Heard the new album today and it ROCKS with a great old school thrash sound that I dig.
The view count on their videos don't reflect the love of their fans. I own all their albums and their shows are amazing! Elite musicians who should be as revered as thrash legends who keep putting out amazing music! So many more great riffs and gritty melodic vocals to come.
Woke up this morning and ate breakfast streaming this fantastic record on my Amazon music app. It is a very very good record. Very diverse, different melodies, different voice and singing styles, they really did it on this one. Congrats Death Angel!!!

Heard Death Angel play this song live a month ago in Salt Lake City. They said they were in the process of doing a music vid for this song, finally came to be.
I see comments about this label having bands sounding the same. Its not true. Death Angel has a whole different edge to it. Maybe you listen this song through spotify with cheap in-ears and through a phone. Then, i suggest getting a 24 bit 44.1khz high bitrate FLAC version through a proper speaker with a subwoofer. Maybe this way you understand that this band is whole different than any other band on Nuclear blast records. This does not even sound like their previous album, The Evil Divide.
True, it's like they have a standard for how a band is supposed to sound not regarding the artist's choice. I think Possessed was the only exception to the rule I heard as of late.

Nuclear blast records has signed much talent, this band included, has a sound reminiscent of 80s/90s metal...still good. Like this song...
