  • One of the most common questions I get asked and you may be wondering yourself too is, “𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞?”

    ✅𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Factors like busy lifestyles, joint discomfort, and increased responsibilities can lead to decreased physical activity and energy expenditure. This reduced movement can contribute to weight gain during perimenopause.
    ✅𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬: Lower estrogen levels can reduce stress tolerance, causing the body to release cortisol more frequently and for longer durations. Elevated cortisol levels are associated with the storage of abdominal fat and energy conservation.
