It might help a few prisoners who want to go straight. But the majority will spend it on drugs and weapons to continue their criminal careers. "What kind of gun can I buy with $2500?"
Yeah, this would work on prisoners who are truly reformed and wanting to turn over a new leaf. These officials really need to inspect and make sure which prisoners truly deserve that hefty sum.
40 years ago, Kurt Russel made a movie about New York. The legal system in this country had gotten so bad and jails could not contain all the criminals, so they walled off New York because it was already lawless and unlivable. All convicted criminals from all over the country were thrown into the New York City prison. There was no guards, no law, no nothing. No food no water no living conditions. They're just gonna spend it on the latest fashion trend, while robbing some hard working person, who can't even afford the same, due to the rent that's due and the tax money spent on their perpetrators gear. Can't make this shit up. Smh
Being a criminal in NY pays? 3 hots, a cot, a release, and $2,500 for living expenses. Add to this the abundance of perks for entering the US illegally. What's the message here: CRIME DOES PAY.
@@birbluv9595 Things can feel fair and give us morality boners, or things can actually work. Free medical care makes sense for prison, what else are we supposed to do? Make the people that caught the various diseases common in prisons, pay for the disease they caught from the conditions at our prisons? That's sillier than thinking that releasing prisoners with additional debts is a good idea. If you don't want your house broken into, maybe don't encourage a system where your neighbors return from prison with debt after stealing to survive their previous debt. Asylum seekers aren’t arrested because the state of New York does not recognize them as illegal nor does the federal government. This has been in the law books since 1948. Assuming they went through a legal port of entry and filled out the form, it’s completely legal to be in the US. As of 2023 there are well over 2 million backlogged asylum seeking applications. However, the larger problem is we allow anyone to fill out the form and there is no prescreening process. 99% of these asylum seeking applications are going to be rejected because they had no valid reason. It could take years to find them all and deport them.

I felt the same way. I was so excited to finally be able to visit NYC and boy was I disappointed. I don't know how people live there thinking its the greatest place to live...they obviously have never been outside that city and enlightened themselves with the rest of this wonderful Nation. I still remember how gloomy and dark the city was, hidden from sunlight by all the huge dark buildings. Other than a few small trees or plants planed in pots here and there, there was no natural grass or bushes or trees, it was like a concrete jungle full of filthy dirty sidewalks and buildings, over flowing garbage cans and nasty smells...I mean where could u possibly take a dog to walk and do his business...oh, right on the sidewalks I suppose, in front of someone else's nasty dirty house...and crowds of people everywhere, in a hurry to get no where. .very unfriendly, always keeping to themselves and looking down. I even went to the beaches and ocean sides, where old tires and broken needles and garbage washed up on shore. In down areas all u could hear was noise, trains going by, or traffic, and the smell of these machines and places about made me sick, I could taste the taste of powered metal and pollution in my mouth, my skin felt dirty, my clothing would start to smell like the air...Everything was so very expensive and everything u did cost money..I mean everything cost money. A 10 minute drive could take u 45 minutes or more to get where your going, and once in a cab u were afraid to sit or touch any part of the taxi, it was so nasty..Even what they called "Brown Stones" which are suppose to be where the more wealthy live, looked like an old crusty building to me...they may be nice inside but from what I saw they were depressing.. I couldn't wait to get outta there and never ever going back, they can stay piled on top of each other like cockroaches if that's what they call living...

Bravo for another stream that is now allowing the country to see how sadly New York is now on a downward spiral. Keep them coming despite how hard it must be for you watching this unfold.
You know what, when you think about it, the local laws are so absurdly in favour of criminals and illegal immigrants and it's so supsicious that an ex-criminal can pass a bill in favour of them, that the only conclusion you can draw at this point is that NY is being run by criminals for criminals. Residents will leave due to crime and housing will become available. Big companies will leave due to crime and offices will become available. Criminals and migrants will be given houses if they agree to be indebted to those in charge of NY (and so a coordinated gang system is formed). Local companies have to do favours to those in charge of NY to avoid "trouble". It's a system perfectly set up for gangs to take control.
It's nothing new. Nyc was ran by the mafia for decades. It's returning to the norm. What will happen is the city will deteriorate until trees and meadows grow where buildings used to be. It happened in Detroit, it happened in Gary, Indiana and looks like it going be the fate of NYC.
Think its just incompetence honestly, possibly a result of communion with Satan. Generally criminals dont like other criminals since they compete for illegal business and scare off legal businesses that the criminals depends on. Therefore making laws in favor of "all criminals" wouldnt make much sense for a gang
Allow released prisoners that have no personal social support to stay in a military style barracks as a 1/2-way type housing. Run same as the military-clean and police the area daily and offer three meals a day. Better than giving money that will mostly be spent partying. I was born in Manhattan. Moved away at a young age. Lived there two years before and after Military Service. The way it is now I would not even visit the place.
Unbelievable ! No way is this $2600 a good idea. What about training and helping people to get a job ! Money is never an answer. New York has lost it`s way. It looks like New York is in for a dark chapter in it`s journey to being the city of hope and opportunity. People have got to learn that choices have consequences. Period !
Most of the money, will be used to buy stolen guns, and drugs, drugs now being dumped straight across the border, unchecked. In turn, funding the Cartels, in turn increasing the violent crimes, soon to be felt all the way to Canada.
I live in Manhattan. This is why I’m not a Democrat anymore. Have you heard of the NYC puncher who randomly punches women? He was arrested then released within hours and continued repeat offending. The cops do nothing! You have to take care of yourself. And I live in a very nice upscale area.
Police officers, District Attorneys, and Judges all have unique roles in the judicial process. You also have NY State Legislature, who are elected, and the people who passed bail reform. From your statement, "He was arrested", it sounds like police did their exact job. So your very next sentence of "The cops do nothing!" says more about your understanding of what's impacting your locale than whatever you think you're saying about the police.
Taking care of it yourself will get YOU thrown in jail. And you'll do your time or have to pay your fine. Upstanding citizens gotta know their place. No self defense, and no protection from any local NY government/agency.
In my country 3/4 of prisoners are repeat offenders. So it is a big majority. Usually they would commit another crime within 2 years after their release. A lot of them, that I talked to, are able to find jobs after release, but they have a problem with authority, have no working habits and sooner or later they break the law again, because they are used to making more easy money. There is no quick solution to this problem.
FR, just look at our government. INSIDER TRADING!, "lobbying", constant constitutional over reach, and funding foreign wars that are honestly just human rights violations for the rich.
I think that NYC is a fantastic place and that everyone who currently lives there and voted for all of this should stay there. Forever. Please never leave.
What happens is the criminals will use the money to buy weapons, drugs, and cars/bikes they will never insure, tag, or make payments on. It would be better to give them a starter job where they can get guidance and monitoring. Jobs like making license plates, trash pickup, parks and recreation jobs. 🤷🏻♂️
Create a program for rehabilitating former convicts (i.e. "Helping them get a job") is cheaper and fairer than just hand them a check and send them away.
@@schlemdem6200 Correct, now you're getting hotter. Meanwhile law abiding citizens are faced with all those hurdles which results in an imbalance of force. Open carry will resolve that imbalance.
I actually AGREE with this. It might not work for ALL types of crime (like $EX for example) but giving them some financial stability to start building a life for themselves could prevent crimes of desperation.

@@birbluv9595
Things can feel fair and give us morality boners, or things can actually work. Everyone has their own concept of fair that happens to be personally advantageous to themselves, so using fairness instead of experimenting to find the correct answer is never going to lead to a universal fairness.
I get the punishments feel good, I like seeing bad people get hurt too, but the punishment doesn't do anything. I was able to resist my upbringing through God, but hurting instead of helping those who were too weak, and letting the evil of one make you evil can't be the path he desires. Being illegal is not a crime anymore.

You have the ability to save your money having never been in prison, you didn't commit a crime? No one is perfect, you just didn't do anything to go to jail or prison for an extended time. You're one of the best journalist/Vloggers out there. Keep it up
I highly recommend a class action law suit against the city, governor, senators and representatives!! That's if you all could find an attorney that's not AS CORRUPT AS THE REST OF THESE CRIMINALS!!
Best idea yet.
A law suit has to have an offence that has been commited. Changing the law is literally the job of the legislature. If you don't like the people changing the laws dont vote for them and if they keep getting voted in that your opinions are not generally accepted enough
Asylum seekers not committing any crimes how??there here illegally crossed a border without any documentation illegally

"Escape from New York" wasn't just a movie; it was a prediction that has come true.
That’s the purpose Hollywood serves.
Bravo for another stream that is now allowing the country to see how sadly New York is now on a downward spiral. Keep them coming despite how hard it must be for you watching this unfold.

Why bother? Voting is all rigged.
And who said "crime doesn't pay" is absolutely wrong.
it pays very well.
If they do not "at" accordingly in the barracks-they are responsible for their actions and the charity is revoked.
$2600. Couple bottles of Hennessy, couple cartons of Newports, some bling, some tats, a piece. Hey now I'm broke. How about welfare?
$2600 won't go that far in NY....
That shit is crazy.
no. im so tired of this. i bust my ass working 9-6 never took a day off in over a year, thousands in debt from college, all my bills paying off my loans, never got in trouble, always follows rules, and i can't even afford my own place. been on "affordable housing" waitlists for 2 years now when druggies who ruin these places get it right away. im so fking tired of this sht.
basically fucking paying them to commit crimes. YA THAT'LL FIX NY!
NYers need to stop voting for people who support these horrible policies (mostly Democrats)

Yo Cash I live in upstate Ny, started watching you with your cool info on real estate in NYC as I've always loved the city and state but not politics. To be honest I'm glad you're shedding light in this situation as otherwise me and probably many others wouldn't really know how it's going on in the city. The MSN's of news wouldn't dare share this info. God bless! Stay safe!
Waking up all the NPCs slowly but surely. I think people are responding to these types of videos because it makes them feel like they arent crazy for noticing how bad this system is being run. He really sheds light on the collapse of this system.

Arrested 47 times. Does he get $2600 for each arrest? Great gig.
I dont think he does. Reporter never mentions it once
47 times ? Nothing to see here !
You get what you vote for 😂
Not each arrest, I'm assuming they get the money after they're released from prison
$425 for 6 months
I was born in Manhattan. Moved away at a young age. Lived there two years before and after Military Service. The way it is now I would not even visit the place.
Unbelievable ! No way is this $2600 a good idea. What about training and helping people to get a job ! Money is never an answer. New York has lost it`s way. It looks like New York is in for a dark chapter in it`s journey to being the city of hope and opportunity. People have got to learn that choices have consequences. Period !
I don't know about training but they do help with jobs
Most of the money, will be used to buy stolen guns, and drugs, drugs now being dumped straight across the border, unchecked. In turn, funding the Cartels, in turn increasing the violent crimes, soon to be felt all the way to Canada.
I live in Manhattan. This is why I’m not a Democrat anymore. Have you heard of the NYC puncher who randomly punches women? He was arrested then released within hours and continued repeat offending.
The cops do nothing! You have to take care of yourself. And I live in a very nice upscale area.
These cops that this administration in NYC are hiring are all DEI lol
Police officers, District Attorneys, and Judges all have unique roles in the judicial process. You also have NY State Legislature, who are elected, and the people who passed bail reform. From your statement, "He was arrested", it sounds like police did their exact job. So your very next sentence of "The cops do nothing!" says more about your understanding of what's impacting your locale than whatever you think you're saying about the police.
FUNNY
Taking care of it yourself will get YOU thrown in jail. And you'll do your time or have to pay your fine. Upstanding citizens gotta know their place. No self defense, and no protection from any local NY government/agency.
Thank you for waking up and finally realizing the democrat party are out in left field.
Well, yes and no. Take a listen to the suggestion by the Sheriff of Santa Rosa County, Ca. Especially easy solution for the place where you live.
I'm surprised you didn't title the video "It begins..." 😂😂
But seriously, your channel is awesome.
It pays to be a criminal in this country.
FR, just look at our government. INSIDER TRADING!, "lobbying", constant constitutional over reach, and funding foreign wars that are honestly just human rights violations for the rich.
Yeah, just LOOK at Congress, imo!
NY is a ridiculous place to live in. This is the first time I've heard of this shit. It's so fucked up. Protect the people who pay taxes there.
I think that NYC is a fantastic place and that everyone who currently lives there and voted for all of this should stay there. Forever. Please never leave.
Amen.
I know. Don't bring down our community lol
If you're a criminal, there's no better place to be than NYC.
What happens is the criminals will use the money to buy weapons, drugs, and cars/bikes they will never insure, tag, or make payments on.
It would be better to give them a starter job where they can get guidance and monitoring. Jobs like making license plates, trash pickup, parks and recreation jobs. 🤷🏻♂️
Guarantee the prisoners will just have $2500 outta jail parties with it 🎉
Yup!!!
Or use the money to finance firearms for the gang back home
Create a program for rehabilitating former convicts (i.e. "Helping them get a job") is cheaper and fairer than just hand them a check and send them away.
Thank you for the only reasonable response I’ve seen to trying to deter people from going back to crime

Definitely change the law so that judges have to take into account a defendant's past criminal history.
I am not even a New Yorker and this infuriates me! If I moved there no one would be handing money out to me…..
Thank god I live in heavenly Texas. Loose gun laws = less crime, truly a blessing to have freedom to defend myself however I see fit.
*criminals buying guns immediatly after getting released because there are no restrictions*
@@schlemdem6200 Correct, now you're getting hotter. Criminals DON'T OBEY LAWS OR RESTRICTIONS, they don't go through longs waits and approvals to get their weapons, they don't care about a gun licenses, they don't care about "gun free zones", they will harm you for less than $20. Meanwhile law abiding citizens are faced with all those hurdles which results in an imbalance of force. Open carry will resolve that imbalance.
No one who is a convicted felon or murderer should have the right to be in any office.
I actually AGREE with this. It might not work for ALL types of crime (like $EX for example) but giving them some financial stability to start building a life for themselves could prevent crimes of desperation.
