This Alx thing is not a joke,it made my daughter shade 10kgs within 1 year but she has learnt alot and she's good now ,it's worth it

thank you, she recently got a well paying job, though still complaining that software engineering is hard, but Alx is just the best! I can't thank them enough!
Got kicked out of my first month, got back again and now am heading in the right direction . You need to focus on the tasks at hand and at times do away with your social life, Kwanza mbembwe na kupiga sherehe. Eventually you can get back to that life which I don't think so after a year because you will be having a different perspective of life. Aim to get a table with the big boys and you will thank yourself later.#dohardthings.

How is it going so far?
I just applied and got an acceptance email and the first assignment was making a video of saying something about ALX, I have a lot to say about it through the research and am grateful for this opportunity really,unfortunately I hope it doesn’t come up as an excuse but my camera is really poor who else is experiencing this and has been accepted in to begin on 22nd May.I instead I am thinking of posting this on my socias a picture to remember this times that I am beginning the program so as to record the journey and come back to it at the end of it and just feel the thrill.
I got accepted as well, I didn’t know making the video is a must🙆🏾♀️

Don't make any payment. ALX programs are free of charge. It a zero cost program, thanks to the organizers and sponsors. So be mindful of scammers

Did they ask you to pay for admin fee? I just saw it online
The admin fee was recently introduced....I believe it should start from applications opened in August onwards...
How long did it take to get your acceptance email from the time you did the application?

Okay cool, I go reread the acceptance email and it shows: " Your 2-week onboarding to the programme will start on 22 May 2023 where you will delve deeper into the programme and complete a series of assignments.'"🤭🤭🤭😔😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨

I started applying for the AI program but didn't pass the logical reasoning test is there any way I can reapply?
I have never joined a Tech school nor never studied about anything related to I.T.... so like am I eligible for the program? I only know computer basics
You'll be okay, GRIT is all you need
If you have computer basics and can read and write, then GRIT and a growth mindset is what you need

We will utilise a hybrid learning approach for all of our programmes except most of the Software Engineering cohorts, which will continue to be delivered fully online - from beginning to end.
Attending the in-person hubs on a weekly basis is a requirement of the learning experience at ALX. The co-working spaces are designed to provide accountability, peer support, and the opportunity for face-to-face interaction and networking. This is intended to boost productivity and help individuals achieve their goals.
Details about the hub and attendance requirements will be shared with you once you are in the programme.

Employers go for skills and abilities... Don't think the certificate way - think the American system way. Rewarding skills and abilities rather than some piece of paper.
We are now supposed to pay an admin fee. Are the programs nolonger free?

When is the onboarding
Onboarding will take place depending on when one applied.
Generally, the recently close application is having onboarding from 8 May.
Those currently applying are onboarding from 22 May if accepted.
