Got fully funded for the data analytics course 🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾. I didn't want to take data science because I'm a uni student and it was going to kill me putting all those hours aside for ALX 😅
Data analytics is simpler too and more fun because I love statistics and data visualization. Data analysis is more demanding for the companies and doesn't require a degree like data science to start an entry level job certificates will give you enough credibility with good portfolio. Data science has a steeper learning curve than Data analytics. By the way you can add machine learning and deep learning to your Data analytics skills which will makes more exceptional in your career. Luck for everyone.
Data scientist salaries are higher but Data analyst job are more demanding in the market. Data scientist should have a degree in relevant field but Data analyst can just have some certificates to work. Data analysis is less complicated than Data science.
Looking at the curriculum for both, I found that Data Analysis was basically a part of the Data Science course which actually makes sense. The only upside for the Data Analysis one is that it is shorter.
Very interesting topic. Thanks for throwing more light. I have a question. Would it be possible to combine the Data Science programme with a full time Actuarial Employment??
I want to ask about the compulsory hub meetings that Data Science students will be having? Is it a daily thing, a weekly thing, or a monthly thing? Do we have to be in Lagos to make this work?
Hello OG it seems like ALX is not offering the Data Science course anymore or I'm I wrong been checking for the next cohort intake but nothing but the other courses are now open for applicants I really want to do the Data Science course please help.
Mmmh! can a data analyst really become a financial analyst? Specific to the content of the ALX data analyst course? Will the content really enable one become a financial analyst? Does it cover financial statements, Financial Ratios, GAAP/FRS etc.?
I got accepted but my question is it compulsory to go to the tech hub every week. I live quite far from the tech hub and will want to do everything online
Mmmmmmh! A data analyst or data scientist can transition to data engineering, but trust the is a whole other skill set one needs to learn. For context I started of a risk analyst at a development financial institution and I am now a data analyst at a start up, currently up skill-ing my data knowledge with an interest `in data engineering. Trust me financial analysis is different from typical data analysis, though financial analysis is a type of data analysis.
Quick question. Which of the two isn’t going to be replaced by Ai in the nearest future?

Similar story for me!

@@avex0118such as bachelor or master
Thank you for clarity, currently taking the stage 3 test for data analysis on alx.
all the best bro
@@enzi. thank you.
hello, how is it going? you re still enrolled in the ALx program?
Looking at the curriculum for both, I found that Data Analysis was basically a part of the Data Science course which actually makes sense. The only upside for the Data Analysis one is that it is shorter.
which one is better the alx course or the google data analytics course?
Thank you for clarity Sir. How can I sign up for the Alx program
Amazing!! God just bless you for this piece of golden educative info.
So you saying the 6 months for data analysis is just for intel and not completion for the course

Is it possible to do two ALX programs simultaneously? Just asking 😂
I would not advice it
@@doubleogadoga Hi Double OG! Does that mean it’s possible to sign up but you would not advice it? Or is impossible? Asking for a friend 😊
No it's not. They don't allow it. You finish one before you start another.
It is not possible. But even if it was possible you wouldn't have enough time.
Man, you just love dancing on the edge of the blade don't you😅
Hi, is it possible to switch from software engineering to data science programme? Just got accepted for software engineering..
Yes, you can. After the first 15 weeks (foundation). Foundation courses are general before you can specialise.

Thank you for all the advice man

yes i think you can, you might just have to take some short courses on those

It is compulsory. Two days a week. 4 hours per day at least.
Bro, does alx find jobs for their students?
Do you need someone to find a job for you in the 21st century? Wow!
👀
THANKS FOR THE
ENLIGHTENMENT
