@@liz6774 it went great! we're performing on the 27th :) Edit: my show was delayed 3 weeks because two of our cast memebers (our corny and our link) had to drop out due to family stuff (they're brothers) so we had to give time to find replacements. But we finally had it last night! And our final show is tonight!
This is my absolute favorite production of Hairspray! I love it even more than the movies and the Broadway production! I love everything about this! I love the intro, I love the costumes, I love the singing, dancing, choreography, acting, their non-singing voices, and line delivery!
They were all amazing! I just wish people like the actor for Corney and the actress for Tracy would stop being so reserved! They seem like they could bring their 100% to 1000% if they were a bit louder and more confident in themselves! Amazing job, to all of you
in this version, i can clearly see that in ''mamma I'm a big girl now'', amber and penny have real problems, while Tracy just wants something. Amber is controlled, and penny mentally abused, they have it way worse from Tracy.
I like Amber honestly XD She at least damce better then me ^ˇ^ In 2007 movie production she won me over by saying "I lost mom, let's deal with it". The fact that Amber was more mature then Velma speaks level. Though i suppose every adaptation had it's own unique ending.
Currently using this wonderful production of Hairspray as a reference for lighting. All is fantastic, except the weird use of Spots and profiles throughout, they just don't really work. Great job on the whole though and the acting is superb!
32.05 wow someone in the corner is taking photos. I really think this is disrespectful to the performers as well as distracting to the others around them theatre etiquette people
This was filmed by a professional videographer, the camera is steady, everyone is always in the shot, it's a high quality camera. I'm sure the highschool payed someone to film and post it.
@@alizeica519 Thanks for answering! I didn't realize this was a possibility since all the high school productions I've been in haven't allowed filming or anything.
First and Foremost, knowing this is a High School show, it is good! However, they have too much filler dance moves. For example in; Good Morning Baltimore, to much moving and people moving around doing a lot of different dances and it was a distraction and taking the light off from Tracy! Also, sometimes the most powerful dance move is just standing in the spot and not moving! The same goes for You Can’t Stop the Beat, all the spinning, hands moving, waving and takes the focus off the lead singing and telling a story to focusing on the movements.
Ensemble was kinda weak, and the costumes kinda irk me as a person who addicted to costumes, and a couple other things, but overall I think they actually had good timing and was pretty funny and powerful
It's a high school production. Of course costumes and ensemble might not be perfect. It will have a low ish budget and the kids are still learning the craft. If you saw what my school productions were like, we didn't even have money for any sets, we simply had a painted background and tables etc. This is pretty impressive for high school.
Hairspray production on milly dawton channel is way better they have more enthusiasm and more character to them than this one does. This one is horrible and the music is too soft their voices are overtaking the music it seems like they can’t keep up with beat. I’m sorry this is just bad.
Nathan. Look I’m very sorry, this play is all about being kind and not being judgmental. This comment goes against everything this production stands for so you have now right to say anything. These people ( not just the actors/actresses) must have worked sooo hard to put this together so if you don’t like it then you would be the only one because nobody liked this comment and all of the other comments are saying otherwise. I hope you appreciate the report I’m sending in regards to your comment more than you appreciate this amazing production.
Timber Creek High School’s production of Hairspray the Musical on January 25th, 2019
Really they talk about rubbers and it was produced by a highschool

@Peppermint Snowdrift I think they said they performed it in Orlando, Florida-
Whoever was cast as Tracy’s Dad big salute to you, you are a really good actor

Seriously your voice is killer dude
Yes yes yes!!! Best ever!!! He’s the type of triple threat we all want in every production of any show ever ❤️
This is a high school production? Wow! Color me impressed.
Damn impressive especially if the music is live.
@@FlyBoyMT we actually do a live orchestra that plays in the wings for the big production
That "good morning Baltimore" I feel could be way better.. that Traci is holding back
I'mA Weeaboo i mean could be true but i guess shes trying her best and still sounded really good for just a school play
I'm missing the glottals on "Oh oh oh".
I get the part when Brenda said 9 months she’s pregnant I’m just now noticing because everyone always laughs at that part🤦🏽♀️🤣
Oh yeah tht makes sense just noticed now too
Best singers are seaweed, Inez, Amber, and Ms. Von Tussell. Shout out to the sound director on this, much clearer sound.
