High School?! The Set and Costumes are identical to the Broadway designs! It's built and thought up soo creatively! The talent is very impressing! Such a great group!
I was really bored so I decided watched this and I honestly LOVED it! Everyone obviously worked hard and the "set" looked amazing! The "cast" was amazing too! I loved Edna!!!! This was so good exspacily compered to other high school production's! These kids are going somewhere I swear! I wish I could have it on DVD!
i loved that she removed the thingy at You can't stop the beat, she was so professionial and some of the characters helped her, that was really professional

You can tell that all the kids in the production really get along , it was amazing performance , singing was good , dancing pieces were good but what really stood out was the acting , well done everyone !

Tracy, Link, Penny & Seaweed make an awesome dancing team! Especially these four dancing from 57:00 to 57:45! Awesome Sauce! I've noticed at the "You Can't Stop The Beat" scene, Link's tie & second color of his suit is pink like Tracy's dress & Seaweed's is purple like Penny's dress. So they're matching! I also loved the parts of Tracy & Link's kiss!
Omg... the sign behind them in the Dodge Ball scene says "for a good time call Brenda." You know, as in Brenda who is fun loving but a little too free wheeling and won't be back for 9 months. And during "Without Love" in her cell over the toilet it says, "Here I sit all broken hearted... and we all know that rhyme. Oh and "Call Brenda" is there too. I'm dying! Rofl... what funny details to throw in. Cool kids, fun production !
I go to this school, we have a lot of cliches. Not a lot of people of color people come to these school due to its high funding and the ability to send students out to another school. And those who are colored at our school don’t usually audition for these shows.

Despite being a little pitchy in places, it's actually a really well put together production. Not overly struck on the Choreography however i.e (Major bug) Clapping whilst dancing and singing, throws the beat off completely. And also the fact there isn't much arm movement in the big numbers which would have been great to see more of. Good job though
Really wish for Tracy`s "this is my dance and it`s for everyone" part they would have chosen a better dance sequence, like maybe the Broadway/Hairspray LIVE version? I dont know. Just didnt fit the music, seemed really awkward, and sucked. But everything else was fine.
I agree the cast just should've been as big as the Broadway one. There were 8 white kids and 6 to 7 black kids in the Broadway production. ( not including link amber seaweed inez etc.)

The Broadway versions sets and scenes, yes. The tour came after and had the same sets costumes etc.
