YESSIRSKIII some people just build it and don’t show you anything else like you called the video a beginners guide I still need to be able to connect goggles and the controller
Pc plug and play fpv quads buy the wrong components go back buy again smoke it go back buy more find setup that works parts get discontinued start all over
I would recommend a bigger soldering tip for this. Like a 3,2 mm chisel type. Even for the small pads I use a bigger tip. Even with enough power and sufficient temperatures, soldering can become a pain if there‘s not enough heat transfer.
I'm new to soldering. How do you keep the liquid (hot) solder from running over multiple pads/holes? I don't see anything preventing it from running all over multiple connection points? Such as at 13:01?
Super clean build, great instructional video. You make it easy to see and understand where to wire everything. I always use your videos to reference on my builds thanks.
building a drone cost 40000rs in india which is 604.21 USD this man is giving us for FREE teaching , thank you and hope you achive more Subs in Upcoming years and ill share this with my friends as well
I thought the VTX and the camera are separate from the FC. My understanding is that the VTX should process the camera data and send it through the video antenna. So to connect the data wires to the FC ?
my FrSky receiver didn't come with wires to connect to flight controller. However there is another connector ribbon that came with the flight controller and is not used in this video? can i cut the connectors off the ends and use those wires for my reciever?
Hi awesome video! I am just getting started with building drones and I wanted to know what all-in-one flight controller you would recommend if I needed to use the Ardupilot firmware? Thanks for your help!
I built exactly to spec but there was no mention of the tiny tank adapter for the lollipop antenna, there was no mention of the transmitter batteries, doesn’t touch on goggles or their binding process, I can’t bind to my receiver, I can’t bind to goggles, I have to search to find certain files on sketch websites for beta flight to program it. I’d love some help I’m like $400 in with no hope.
I have a question so I was looking at The flight board and the ESC is it what the ESC can take if it says 6S is that what it can take not the flightboard or if it’s good distribution board it takes 6s I know like on the RC vehicles the ESC can take 6S
is it possible to control a custom-built drone with a Mamba stack ECF with something like a phone or a laptop? Not necessarily as a replacement but as a temporary control device.
when you are using the soldering iron, it seems like the solder runs and hits both ground and the 5v connetion, wont this cause a problem? from my knowledge connetion should be seperated?? hope youll answer
do you have the printed parts links? Also the Stack on BG is showing 2 boards not the separate ones? Not sure what would be best to order for that one?
hi, do u have another option for the iFlight SL5, the rushfpv tiny tank, the racer nano because it says that there isn't anymore or that the page isn't found, thanks
Which Rush Antenna is it? The link goes to 5 different antennas with different connectors and they also have different modes such LHCP and RHCP. Please help me out in letting me know which one it is here
i am super new to the fpv world and i looked up some basic components. how come there is no power distribution board. Are they in built in the esc or fc or is there no need for one anymore?
To me it seems that a lot of the Solder points on the flight controller touch each other. Does this not matter or is he just as precice like Mr Steele?
@@henryksarat don't watch this guys guide, I would suggest watching one of Joshua Bardwells videos, he explains everything WAY better. This Video is not a beginners tutorial.
That's a great build! gave me some ideas :) but.. you aren't using flux are you? some of the soldering scenes with that huuuge amount of solder and that long heating.. that hurts my eyes XD ..or your soldering iron isn't hot enough.. hmm at what °C degree is your iron?
For anyone watching this, use the correct sized solder tip, and use Flux. You'll see he has extreamly hard time soldering the motor wires to the esc. This is mainly because the soldering tip is way to small, and cannot transfer enough heat to melt all the solder on the pad. Even after he turned his iron up to 440c it still couldnt transfer enough heat for nicely flowed solder joints. Use the correct equipment, save yourself the struggle. Trust me, he is struggling for no reason. Just change the tip. Hakko tip T18-C3 from xt60/motor wires, hakko tip T18-D16 for everything else.
Hey, just to let you know the Diatone F60 ESC and the motors are out of stock and the F405 link doesn't work, would you be able to provide some alternatives?
Hey man, love the video. Have you ever had issues with the reciever not lighting up? I had the reciever working and flying. Got a new flight controller and now the reciever wont power up. My battery voltage is good(tried multiple batteries), connections all good. Any help would be appreciated tried lower gauge wires. Disconnecting the video transmitter. Nothing seems to do it
I‘m looking for a beginner Cinematic FPV Kit (drone, RC, Googles). I want to build the drone myself and want it to fly long distances without breakups. I don‘t want to spend more than 400 swiss franks for EVERYTHING. Can you suggest me some pieces?
What's the advantage to this vs Nazgul5/Cidora? Nagul is $100 cheaper and probably the best sub-$200 drone out there right now, it flies like a dream, and the Cidora is around the same price and also better. The Nazgul is such a steal you'd actually lose money if you bought all the components and put it together yourself.
hello , I started making a DJI drone from the beginning, I bought a case from DJI mavic 2 zoom without electronics and motors, I don't use original electronics from dji mavic, I have problems calibrating some sensors with this Flight Controller , or you have an idea what flight control electronics to use, butmust having sensors proximity?
I bought the stack listed in the description and I’m having issues with getting power to my XM+ receiver. I’ve soldered the wires to the right spot but the led’s do not come on when I plug a lipo in. Can anyone help?

Hey man sorry for all the questions but my antenna doesn’t fit the rush VTX despite using the exact same antennas
@@bubba1341 You figure it out?
Hey man just wanted to say thank you for all your beginner content! It has been a BIG help for me in understanding everything!
RUclips is so useful in this century , we learn and create a lot of things .
I’ve watched a lot of build videos you made but this one is by far the most helpful
YESSIRSKIII some people just build it and don’t show you anything else like you called the video a beginners guide I still need to be able to connect goggles and the controller
Amazing .. great job
i always make sure im using a no clean flux for better heat transfer when soldering think it might help with this esc especially. nice build though.
Hi mate,
Could you please link the 3D files for the RushFPV Tiny Tank and the Rush Antenna? It's not listed in your description.
Great video helping people get into the hobby. I always like watching these kind of videos.
Best drone build ever... Novice here from Kenya.. tryna build my first quad.. this is very helpful!
I have built a computer before and this looks way more intimidating.
Caden ay bro I’m gonna try it. I say go for it. If you mess up you can always return them
Because it is
Pc plug and play fpv quads buy the wrong components go back buy again smoke it go back buy more find setup that works parts get discontinued start all over
same here. Built my own PC
Same...pc seemd easy to this
I just subscribed a couple minutes ago and it just so happens this is exactly what I was looking for
Very nice and clean built, thank you.
there is no stack on the websites provided that contains both the F60 ESC and the F405, could you suggest an alternative or help me find it?
Hey can i use mamba x50 instead of this x60??
Just a quick question, what would be the overall weight of the drone?.
Thanks

Why not put some heat shrink on the leads for the cap?
Bro, you really delivered a nice details bro, I had never got any experience like this.

would you pick these motors over the racestar br2207s?

Hey , the iFlight sl5 frames are out of stock in many shops , can I use different frame for this fpv build
can solders on two pads touch each other? because from the video it looks dangerously close. I'm amateur dont mind the noob question
Try putting the exposed wire through the hole. Bend the wire in direction desired then remove the iron. The solder will cool fine on the other side.

Beautiful build, Sam! Really nice! 😃
Hi do you know what the range is for the video transmitter and the rc transmitter thx
Are there any issues if solders touch or are super close to each other?
Nice starting music. Thanks for this built serie.
I doubt I’ll get a response but the black tubing where do I get it what is it called I can’t find it anywhere
How do I set up a wifi camera on gimbal with the pixhawk?
To me it seems that a lot of the Solder points on the flight controller touch each other. Does this not matter or is he just as precice like
Mr Steele?
You can cause a short and a battery fire (lipo). He used too much solder.
Which budget props do you recommend and do i need to buy the nuts seperate to secure the props?
A bigger soldering iron tip would allow a better heat transfer for the larger pads .
Do we need to add a separate GPS equipment or it is inbuild on the board to activate the GPS functionalities?
is this setup going to be better than a iFlight Cidora?
what batteries do you recommend with this build !!!

does the receiver come with those extra 3 wires, or do i have to get those sepertatley?

how can i use it with the DJI system ? please let me know

You didn't mention anything about which wires from the motor connect to where on the ESC.... or does it not matter?
You didn’t specify on what wires to solder onto the XM+ receiver. Can you take any 5V, G, and signal wire and use them in this fashion?
just a quick question, is it necessary to have the ESC and flight controller from the same brand/company?
Didn't he short circuit the first two pads on the flight controller?
What kind of battery pack are you using for this set up? How many V, mAh, dimensions?
For anyone watching this, use the correct sized solder tip, and use Flux. You'll see he has extreamly hard time soldering the motor wires to the esc. Go for the iFlight Succe-X E stack
A tiny bit of flux on the board will help with flow and adhering even though your using i'd assume rosin core solder
What is the maximum range and altitude of this.
The f405 fight controller says its rated for a 6s battery input, not 4s. Can I plug a 4s anyways? It would have less voltage.
Didn't he short the wires on fc?
wouldnt it be a good idea to use threadlocker on the bolts for video transmitter? :)
is there a way i can purchase one of those 3d printed pats that you put on the back of the drone to hold the antenna anywhere
Please tell the all name of products that are used in drone please any one reply me😢😢😢😢
