my key slid out very easily using a magnet instead of a small screw driver just wanted to add that in case it helps anyone with out the proper small flathead, thanks 4 the vid helped alot👍
Really takes forever feels like..by the way. The keyway has a raised lip & only goes back in the way it came out , nobody mentioned that one. Putting tape on spindle nut with marks to indicate keyway would have saved me 30 min minimum.

Do I need the socket,could I use a large pliers?
If you can torque it down enough with pliers then more power to you. Remember the proper tool will make life easier and can order online $25ish
