That third cobbler looked and sounded amazing. I do find it odd that Mimi and Grinell noted and appreciated the crunch from using real peaches and a flaky crust yet went with canned peaches and biscuits for their own versions. I love soul food where every element of a dish is made from scratch.
I don’t know when this video was filmed, but if you don’t live in the south it can be really really hard to find fresh peaches that are actually ripe anytime out of season, most are hard and crunch and they won’t taste good in a cobbler
