    The sticky side that peels off after applying an iron on vinyl works GREAT as transfer tape too. I store it by applying it onto the slick side of freezer paper.

    This was extremely helpful! I just recently got into doing vinyl decals, and finding a good transfer tape has been my biggest issue. The last tape I purchased was made by Cricut, the Strong Grip tape. It's horrible, it won't transfer the decal to the surface and it's actually even taken the finish completely off the vinyl decal itself. Again this video was very helpful! Thank You a Million Times over!!! 🤘💯

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 года назад +4

      Strong grip is really only for glitter vinyl or a few other specialty types. You shouldn't use it for regular vinyl.

    • @Lolimiggi
      @Lolimiggi 3 года назад +2

      I was also wondering about this :) is the vinyl being used in this video permanent Cricut vinyl?

    • @shattonzubieta9533
      @shattonzubieta9533 3 года назад +1

      If your trying to use it for regular vinyl, dap your strong grip transfer tape to a micro fiber rag about 6 to 8 times to lessen the grip and you should be able to get by!

    How would you transfer an inkjet image to wood?

      There are many ways to do that. Try this: ruclips.net/video/BhlCF6lKr24/видео.html

    Which one is reusable? That also make a difference in comparison prices

      You can reuse them all at least a few times.

    Thank you so much for both videos of comparisons. I am on my 4th transfer tape while trying to do a tangram tumbler on a 4 1/4" shortie. All previous have been a disaster. I thought maybe it was the Cricut brand vinyl I was using. So, I keep searching. Thank goodness the tumbler is half sized🤣.
    So, I'm gonna try the duck brand next. However, in my searching. I noticed that there were different tacks, such as medium vs. strong or regular. What is ur thoughts on that? TIA.

      Strong is only for glitter or specialty vinyls. Otherwise, I would just use what works well for you!

    I’m going to try the tape and that’s because I bought the cricut transfer tape and I’ve had so much trouble trying to transfer it to items. When I put the vinyl with the transfer tape on any surface it won’t stay and come out the tape. It’s so frustrating! I’ve wasted so much product already.

    When you say "Contact paper" do you mean that stuff you use to coat your book covers for protection? If so I have been considering using that as a TT but I would have thought it would be too strong for the vinyl transfer.
