Every goofy spending $400+ on the Chicago pair when they’re only differences from the red cements. Red cement vs varsity red, Nike Air vs Nike Chi, red insoles vs white insoles. It’s all about hype, I live in Chicago seen them and honestly I’d be perfectly fine with the Nike Air pair. Will I be going for the Nike Chi pair yes I will but for the toe not for sale hype don’t drive me, my arsenal got extremely limited and GRs in it!!!
The real question is, "why are ppl using resell status as the determining factor in whether a sneaker is hot or not?" I hate this culture.

I am talking from the company’s perspective, if we take for example the Yeezy 350 v2 has the same quality in all their shoes, the only reason they keep selling out is because the resell price is almost always over the retail price. Company’s cared about this although they don’t say it, because im sure they rather sell all their stock than having to put them on sale every time.

We’re not talking about the cut on these enough! The taller, less padded collar. The lower toe box and elephant print cut. The tongue padding not showing over the top. The silhouette is thinner than modern 3s and look less like a skate shoe. Hopefully more 3s start coming out this way. Leaked pics of the UNC 3s look like the cut will be just like these. ✌️

JustA DopeGuy because of what that shoe is/means, yes. But take that BC3 and the RC3 and do an all around comparison of the cuts and silhouette and you’ll see the differences.

This is the comment I was looking for before i posted it!!!! It’s all about the toe shape and cut on these! They bringing it back to the correct shape finally!!
The Nike Air on the back absolutely does matter to me. I think the reason being that when I got my first pair in '87, Nike Air was on the back. That makes me want it on Jordans now. It just makes them feel more "Nike" to me and there's a nostalgia aspect as well. To me, these look the most like the '87s as far as the elephant print on the toe being really thin and the elephant print on the heel dips down really low in the middle. For some reason I like/want the retros to be the same as the OGs, as much as possible.

Don’t care what anyone thinks they are dope.!! There shaped like the ones in the 80s. All the 3s for years have a taller toe box and the cushion on the back of the tongue shows as where the old ones the leather covers most of it up so you can’t see it and the tongue is thinner. Also the padding in the shoe is thinner like the Jordan 3s from the 80s. This is a different color but an exact build to the old school 3s and that’s why I am in love with this shoe. Hope they do more with better quality leather and in better color ways with some collaborations!! Like a TRAVIS 3 or a Virgil 3 old school build!!

I cant lie, i didnt like these at first but after seeing them over and over, they grew on me, so happy that i decided to pick them up, i think they're 🔥
It gets disappointing that sneakers have become so capitalistic in that people don't buy them to wear but to flip. I'm more traditional, I buy my shoes to wear them and I don't buy them based on their resell value. There is a level of appreciation that goes into wearing them as art.

I got them with the shock drop, these shoes are not reselling because there’s not a famous name behind them just what happened with the animals 3’s. Slap an Atmos logo or Supreme logo and you’ll see how the reselling going crazy. These are underrated along with the winterized and the animal instinct. Quality in these red cement it’s very top notch and they are similar with the OG pair with the tongue and the more sleek look, not as chunky as before. You forgot that the box it’s cool as shit too, but like I said people overhype shoes with small logos 🤷🏽♂️ . Waiting for that hoodie 🔥🤞🏽

If you Like the sb's more than the 3s that's cool, Just ask yourself If you actually Like them more or If you Just Like the hype. When I bought shoes which were hyped up but weren't really my Thing I almost always regretted it in the Long run

The more I see these the more I love them. Six years ago these would have been highly sought after. I am happy people are sleeping on these. It’s not about what “others” feel about a sneaker that dictates me copping on or not. When I bought the 1st release of the 11’s back in 95-96 kids made fun of me. Then after a few weeks that caught 🔥 I think these are fuego and will definitely be part of my collection

What draws me to them is the sleek improved toe box shape. & the thin tongue that gives it a more og vibe. The red is cool it's different. Not crazy about the red. I'm loving the improved toe box shape (not perfect) but a lot better. Something we haven't seen in a while. I know some people don't care about that but me being an og head i do. Gonna turn these into a custom black cement since i passed on the 2018.
I haven’t had the sneaker in hand so I don’t know about the quality issues but I think the shoe looks great and I definitely think those that hesitate will regret it. They are Jordan 3’s with a bright cool color these will appreciate in the future for sure especially the chi exclusives. My question is if I go to Chicago on the 15th when they are released can I get them anywhere in Chicago and will there be enough supplied? I wonder
