The Tom DeLonge Stratocaster is loaded with a Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker for immense output and turbo-charged tone that’s perfect for chunky power chords and crunchy riffs. But it's not all about power-the streamlined control setup consisting of a single master volume combined with a treble bleed circuit preserves the guitar’s natural high-end, ensuring sparkly cleans and chime-y edge-of-breakup tones. The comfy modern "C" neck features medium jumbo frets on a 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard for a modern feel with superior playability. Other highlights include vintage-style tuners and hardtail Stratocaster bridge with block saddles for classic looks, superior intonation and enhanced tuning stability. A custom crafted Tom DeLonge neck plate is decorated with Delonge's original artwork.

1. Get any cheap partcaster strat
2. Block the trem
3. Put an invader on the bridge
You get a cheaper, more versatile strat
No
@@LaChartreyes. The rest is just an oversized headstock which just looks stupid imo and has no bearing on how it sounds or plays. You can easily make this thing
Cheaper, but also worse fit and finish, worse materials, no treble bleed, a worse feeling bridge when palm muting, and worse stability because it's not hard tail.
@@LaChartrePeople saying you can buy parts and make the guitar for less money have no idea how a signature guitar works and what makes it unique.
Honestly, people can buy similar parts and put them together and it still won't feel or sound the same. It might look the same but that's it
Being a hardtail …that’s a plus for me🎸
It’d be so great if it wasn’t $1200
Value is like $500 tops.
For real! It’s an awesome guitar but wildly overpriced!! You can build a comparable partscaster for WAY less 💵💵!!!
I love that he has range
the knob being in that spot is so nice, idk what fender thought putting the knob so close to the bridge
Squiers going into signatures now cool! That's what I heard about the quility control on these atleast.
When was there ever a veneer on a fretboard?
Veneer is the term used, the part touching the neck is curved. A slab is when it’s flat so it’s a little thicker. Veneer is a stupid word for it, but it is the term used. I had to google it
Daphne Blue finish is gorgeous
i'm more of a surf green
@@bon2yan88 Second favorite finish
Excellent choice of T-shirt Dagan!
Wait, so you're saying that string through body and a rosewood fingerboard makes this guitar special? Damn...it's as special as a squier tele!
Finding a squier tele with rosewood is pretty difficult these days ;) mostly all laurel
Can't believe this neck is now notable when it used to come on $200 squiers
I made my own tom delonge strat Squier seafoam green . Change the pickgaurd with one SD invader pickup and there you go.
You see slab fingerboards all the time. What is this dude talking about? All my guitars are slab boards
I like this guitar it's very simple like esquire was when it was released in 1951
Bruz! That's a guitar for my collection!
Such a cool guitar 🎸
We need more hard tail strats man
Too bad Fender's QC department were on a vacation when these were built.
I have an old sea foam green one, and play it almost exclusively, nice simple solid buzz free sound & I like the neck feel too. The volume is a bit in the way as others have stated but overall I'd say very nice for ~$600 not for $1300 though!Mine was a once in a lifetime gift, forever greatful to you Bill and Ida D. I will play it till I can play no more.
Haven’t heard much good about this guitar, especially for the $1300.
The only thing i like is the pickup🤷🏼♂️
He's like some sort of gesticulating sleight of hand magician...
I can’t decide if I want a blue or green one.
I think it's to expensive
I think it's too expensive
Buy one of them Squier sonics and turn it into one of these 🤣
@@briguy345 I see your point... But I prefer not to support Chinese Made Products as much as possible.
@@DamianS1893 I understand that line of thought, but I like to justify it by thinking that I'm helping some poor Chinese person have a factory job.... It's better than nothing
@@briguy345and it’s never going to sound good.
@@DamianS1893China is great. They pump out good cheap stuffs.
I will support them.
I like the idea of a hard tail strat with a single humbucker at the bridge. I am not interested in paying extra for the artist's name. Real "Old School" Fenders are a single piece maple neck where the finger board isn't a slab, it IS the same piece of wood as the neck (needing the routing up the back of the neck to install the truss rod, and the skunk stripe to fill the routing slot). Skunk stripes on attached fretboard necks always look goofy because they are just a decoration.
A buddy of mine bought one. I was not impressed with the fretwork and needed a real setup upon delivery.
I also vote to build a partscaster and slap one of these one- dimensional pickups in it. And I'm a big SD fan...
That volume knob/pot is in the way for me. I like my controls out of the way like Gibson who always has their controls behind the bridge so it stays out of the way of strumming. I returned a Fender Jim Root Telecaster back in the day cause of this. Charvel used to do the same thing but now are getting them far enough back that's why I play Charvel. I have a 96' Surfcaster(first owner) and a 2023 Pro Mod SoCal style-2 HH HT which rules for a modern 24 fret tele.
This is extremely overpriced considering my new Charvel and yhis are made in the same factory. My guitar is loaded with modern ergonomics, Fishman Fluence Open Core pickups and on and on while this is a one trick pony with Delonge's name on it for $1300 while my Charvel is $1000.
Does your Pro Mod So Cal 2 HH HT have the reverse headstock?
I’ll stick to the Fender HSS Strat. The Shawbucker pickup sounds so nice with the Boss Katana MK2.
I've heard they're having quality control issues with this one! Try before you buy!!
It's Purdy 😎
Snake Oil
I'm interested in ANY guitar with a real rosewood board nowadays. Can we please plant more trees or something
Ridiculously expensive guitar
Rather have a Jr
Me, too.
What the hell is everyone’s problem? 😢
As Tom said it’s a tool.
Of course if you wanna play Hendrix you gonna buy an oldschool strat, if you wanna play jazz then you go for a hollow body tipically.
This gitar just not ment to be super versatile and classy.
Move on guys, my heart aches , my brain hurts…
Gr8 hair man
How long did it take to come up with 5 positive things to say about this? This guitar is one step away from being a scam
Go pa and play Henrdix on a real strat. 😂
For the people saying you can build this guitar for cheaper, good luck with that. People are listing some parts but purposely forgetting the hard tail body, the treble bleed and that specific neck with the 70's styled limited production with the oversized headstock. By the time you're done, you're ending up with around the same price ir double the effort.
Man you are clueless....doesn't have to look exactly the same, you can make the guitar for £200 in parts
@@conordyer2307Except the whole point of a signature model is to look, feel, and sound exactly the same.
@@conordyer2307200?? Bro you are tripping nutsacks. You’re building a C+ tier guitar for 200 😂
@@conordyer2307 I modify guitars for a living, but keep trolling....
Bro really think that hard tail, treble bleed and big headstock are some rocket science sht
Just ordered mine in surf green tonight.
Its 1400€ and I have non money now till the end of the month but anyways...
So its a regular strat with one humbucker and 1 knob
I wish it had black hardware
Does it have Super Jumbo Frets though? If not it's a waste.
I think it’s cool, but I don’t like polyester finish.
Love tom but the trem and the neck pickup is half the appeal of the strat for me
Looks cool, impractical for the money
Why have a strat without the templo bridge that gives It that beautiful spanky tome, go for a tele instead
It would have been a good guitar for like $300
Every strat needs a single pickup /solid/ tone ..we need MIDDLE,MIDDLE and MIDDLE
Don't care
The only thing from Tom Delonge I care about is his flying saucer he's building to contact the aliens
It's real, look it up
What happened to your hairdo bro. I think I just dropped A fudge roll. Take it easy it sounds like you want to marry the guy.
I think it's overpriced. I would definitely want one though if it was a lot cheaper. Most of the time I play guitar I only care about volume knob and bridge pickup.
At some point you have to stop calling it a strat.
its a 900-1000€ max. guitar, not a 1500€ one.
Blink 182 is bad for your health.
Nothing really makes that guitar special. You can build your own for like 400 to 700 dollars depends how fancy you want it.
Invader pickup 109
Strat body 250
Bridge 20 to 35
Neck 100 to 400
in my opinion, the fender official video with tom playing it clean sounds horrible.
Well Blink was one of the worst bands of the 90s so that tracks
There is nothing special about literally any fender. The fact there are boomers who have 12 of the same shape guitar irritates me lol.
I still think it’s a baretta 😭😭😭
And frankly, the Baretta looks better, and a lot cheaper, even the souped-up version with the better pickups and trem.
@@carlbaumeister3439 seriously lol
That guy could sell a guitar to a man with no arms or legs. I love his enthusiasm especially when he demo’s the John 5 Ghost Telecaster. Unfortunately hardly anybody can afford it but it’s nice dreaming about it.
It's still a rip off a MIM strat for the price of a USA.
Way overpriced
Demo
Ive heard some bad things about this guitar.
Get the Sonic Strat Ht H. It’s the same guitar 😂
Not exactly though
@@hawkyxvx1786Dont think the difference between the two is worth a thousand pounds tho
I love mine, it’s pricier than my other guitars but I’ve been after one for ages and I was so glad they re-released this
Overpriced basic guitar. Also never have seen a fingerboard that was a veneer.
Looks like a 300 dollars guitar. All these channels must make a buck or two from Fender. How many people will keep paying good money just for a name.
whoa! somebody walked through some cobwebs!
That thing is sick way better then the old school strats.hardtail one knob.all business rock
182nd comment!
It's stupidly overpriced
Way too much money for something that doesn't sound super extraordinary in my opinion
This guitar is just way overpriced
This is an overpriced Squire
3rd
The new re-release tom d strats play like total garbage.
It's no longer a strat
Way overpriced for what it is.
Waaaaaay
Tom who?
IKR?
Your mom
Rip off..bought a seafoam squire affinity last year and put in an invader..cost little over 300 all in..even went off and got a blink rabbit neck plate made up
I don’t care if that is exactly how the original it is based off was made. You are missing out on the extra $1000 of tone.
Hi . What is a Blink Rabbit Neck Plate ?
@@RikJSmiththe piece on the back that holds the neck to the body. Tom has his own logo on his but the stomping rabbit is blink 182’s first mascot, very cool 🐇
Am I the only one who doesn’t understand the hype for one of these.
Maybe it’s bcse I think blink sucks🤷♂️
I agree. They did/do suck
You're right they do stuck and so does this guitar
I wanna mod it so bad
Meh
Its a garbage guitar for the price. Sorry not sorry.
this is over priced crap .
Gay paint job
looks cheap asf
