You did so well to find that real one for 400 dollars! I’m from the UK and think I’ll do the same (make a replica and also look out for a real one at a realistic price)
@@rockinromanphoto ok cool, only asking because that’s what I saw on the Fender wiring diagram and just wanted to make sure, I actually spoke to a representative over at Seymour Duncan and they said the resistor and capacitor weren’t needed as well, thanks for responding.

Hi Dude, do you know if your Seymour Duncan Invader SH-8 is a neck of bridge one, on the original Tom Delonge Signature ? Thanks a lot, and Great Job ! :)
Bobby K.O [Official] yea 500k pot with no capacitor. I don’t roll back the volume too much so I didn’t care if I lost tone while rolling back the volume.
wrong decal, should've used a 70's style black Fender decal, that is pretty significant, couse you even got the large 70's headstock, so the silver logo looks a bit weird & fake. It's an easy fix. Otherwise great build! Congrats.
Unless you're in a tribute band and you literally play guitar exactly the same way as tom using the same picks, same strumming techniques with all the same quirks etc, you're never going to sound like him. Why then pay so much money for a replica guitar when you can make something similar for so much less!
Why not use at least similar music in the video to the band who's guitar you're building? The people here are (granted, only probably) Blink fans. I watched the whole thing as it was educational but on mute. Congratulations on having a wide music taste though.
everyone notices a 1 HB guard... Avril Lavigne, Derek Whibley, CC Deville ... nobody points out that the real ones are 3 pcs of Kiln Dried alder with a mini tub top tout for 1 HB.... NO thru rout.. no rear springs. String thru hardtail... this is fan boy bs
Builds a Tom Delonge guitar, demos it by playing Green Day...
Green Day are better than Blink, so...
Kylo Fan both are good but that is debatable
@@idk4529 as a Green Day and Blink fan they’re both good in their own ways.
@@clifisboringsame here man
50s logo on a CBS-era styled head. 10/10
Your custom is awesome. I made mine from the 2004 anniversary edition squier bullet. Same design n all with one humbucker and volume knob etc

He's like off brand Sebastian Stan. A Squier Sebastian Stan if you will.
3 AM and im watching this video :D
Maybe sand and refinish the headstock next time?
Do you still have it? How's the feel? is there really a difference between alder and poplar body?
Could you just buy a Mexican strat and slap on some Duncan with a single coil pick guard ? Or am I wrong ?
No resistor or capacitor needed anywhere in the wiring?
The fender Tom Delonge guitars have a treble bleed resistor but Tom on his personal guitars never used one.

I have a similar guitar got new 20 years ago in blue tom delonge artist model
I love this signature,I have one 😀👌🏻
Does squier bullet strat works cause I’m not sure if it can fit the invader humbucker
Yes from what I seen bullets have a humbucker routing in the bridge.
400 for the delonge!! WOW
What pots do you use on these?
500k fender pot

It’s a bridge
Awesome guitars!!
What amp are you using?
is that a squier affinity series?
I made it from a few parts I found online, got the alder painted body on reverb and the neck was from a 02 Fender Squier Affinity 20th Anniversary.
The hell is this music..put a blink track in or walk us through it..this sucks..great build though hahaba

I would up using an invader bridge pickup
@@rockinromanphoto Neck in the bridge sounds sick, nice twang. Vouch.

Wait...you only paid 400 for the TD model?!?!?! That is a crazy fucking price.
Pre pandemic it was pretty easy getting deals. I bought my daphne blue td fender for $250, surf green for $400 and I had the epiphone for $300.

Builds a TD Sig. Uses music TD fans despise. Why?
Didn’t know there’s music a whole group of people hate, sounds kind of narrow minded.
