Roderick showed his usefulness as a sea captain and he got much needed character development. He's solidified as my favorite (living) side character. The 2d pirates were way overused really. The only part of the manga I cringe read lol.

Regarding Guts' current mental state, I have the following anticipation on how the Black Swordsman's Party will go on.I think the current mental state of Guts is parallel to Griffith's mental state after he had been rescued as a crippled man, both having their own dreams/purposes of life collapsed. Then, something bad may happen to Guts: 1)As Guts is definitely in his lowest point right now, maybe the Belheit he is carrying would reappear and lure him to start the Eclipse to become apostle in order to regain enough power to confront Griffith, what is gonna happen will diverge into two directions: 1.1) The Belheit may take advantage of Guts' self-loathing behaviour and saying words like "You can't protect Casca because you are incapable of doing what you love", making him blaming himself that he is the root cause of what happened right now. Then, he may open the Eclipse to sacrifice the comrades to become apostle regardless of what Roderick and Schierke were shouting outside, which will be the main conflict of the next chapter 1.2)Guts still had the same inner conflict as 1.1), but this time Roderick and Schierke were able to reach him, telling him that how they were inspired by Guts and changed their own life forever due to Guts and now they would like to help him through the pain as well. In this way, Guts would for the first time show his vulnerable facade in front of his comrade, speak up and understand that he is not nothing without his sword. The journey until now has changed him as well, he still have his own nakamas. Even without his sword to hold on, he still has his nakamas by his side to trust and hold on, so that he doesn't need to take the burden and despair all alone(just like how Luffy encouraged Vivi to trust her nakamas). With the encouragement from teammates, Guts would be able to move on and get into the discussion on the team's future actions. 2) The belheit does not appear but instead the Beast of Darkness spoke to him, luring him to give in to sorrow and let it take over his body. He may first feel like he is too useless and think that this is all his fault, making him be taken over by the armour with a breakdown of Guts and go Berserk. Then, the team would find the Berserk Guts and try to calm him down, with Schierke and Farnese this time pull him out of the despair with the words similar to 1.2), so that Guts can finally win the inner conflict and get his own character development and move on. All in all, I hope the next episode can show more inner monologues of the main characters, for example Schierke and Roderick's desperate for reaching out to Guts while remembering the journey with Guts. This can refer to how One Piece potrayed the close connection between Strawhats and Luffy by using inner monologues to express how the strawhats were desperate to reach out to Luffy just after they read the news that Ace was dead in front of Luffy, because they were once helped and inspired by Luffy and now they would like to repay the kindness to him, to give him a shoulder to cry on when he is devastated from Ace's death. Even though "power of friendship" thing is a shonen element, it would be great and reasonable to be demonstrated in this occasion, or if the manga team decided to turn it back to grim and dark tonality, it would still be OK. Wish for recovery of Guts
No he'll definitely not "start another eclipse", the whole idea and the actions he'd had to do (sacrificing) would go completely against his character and the story, I don't understand why you would consider that considering you have read the manga, or haven't you?

Also, I respectfully disagree with adding the “silhouette of a horse leg” in the scene with Guts, bc it would’ve completely ruined what *exactly* was most important in that particular moment. Which was Guts failure and the toll it took on him. *Not* Skullknight. If he was shown to be there, we would’ve simply been wondering “why” Skullknight was there and what what’s he planning to say, than being focused on Guts
Also, is there something that will happen if *GUTS* ambition is broken?? There’s so much emphasis of Griffiths dream and his ambitions, meanwhile..Guts is special in his own right and has shown determination similar to Griffith. I feel a massive shift would also happen if Guts were to finally, even for a moment, give up. One thing we know for a fact about Guts, is that he’s ONLY human. And humans, sometimes, have their faith or core shaken, but not all get back up. It’s only natural for Guts to feel like this is too much for him
After reading through the story for the first time a month ago, Fantasia is my favourite arc in Berserk and one of my favourite arcs ever, if it ends here then I hope the next arc (and potentially the final one) can be just as phenomenal.
Another detail I really like is that they once again shows chips in the Dragon Slayer. They haven’t been seen since Godo repaired it back in the Conviction arc, but now that Guts’s confidence in his blade has wavered, his sword once again appears damaged.
I have a slight feeling we will have a timeskip on the next chapter. Seems fitting with the team change, the moment of the story and what ever is coming
Did you know that the Behelit's countdown ends right when the chapter 371 comes out? Since this is arguably Guts' lowest point yet, with his spirit being broken, this could possibly be the moment we'll see Behelit being used. What's your thoughts?
Would be a good twist, but I doubt it. Guts isn't strong enough to defeat the god hand, and using the beherit would turn him evil. I guess maybe he could be like Ganishka and rebel against the god hand though.
Call me crazy but I'm actually excited for more Griffith chapters. I want to know what his new goals and motives are, what was his real reason for taking Casca, what position is Casca going to play in Griffith's Kingdom when he's already married to Princess Charlotte, etc. I also want to see what happened to Rickert and his gang.
I think we can infer that he wanted Casca because the child is drawn to her. The child is the one whom Griffith shares a body with, so keeping hold of Casca thereby limits his vulnerability. I think Casca’s role will be that of a prisoner, but that’s just a guess.

Also, the brand of sacrifice was part of the deal for Grifth to become a godhand member. I don´t think he has power to undo it, at least not without consequences. IMO the main point is that Grifith and Casca relationship is stuck between her being a sacrifice for Femto and her being the mother of the moonlight boy. That means he wouldnt kill her nor let her live. On the other hand, I don´t see Casca beeing able to do anything against him. I guess prisioner is most likely. However, while Casca is there she can somehow trigger some groups in Falconia to betray Grifith when the time comes.
Berserk ended in 364, this is a tribute to Miura and his craft to give closure to what basically was the work of his life. We shouldn't look at Kouji Mori's project as competition or replacement to what Miura created over 30+ years. We should rather be grateful to finally get to know the ending of this story in beautifully drawn and detailed manga panels :)
fantasia is the natural evulotion of miuras ideas and passion which is his love for western media as i read his interviews he said he was influenced by hellraiser and starwars and and conan the barbarian in fact guts' physique is a direct copy of arnolds those were movies from the time of early chapters in fantasia we can see movies like pirates of the carribian lord of the rings and harry potter now obviously there are some negatives some parts overstayed their welcome like the pirates and lovecarft monster i dont mind it that much but i would have loved if miura focused more of progressing the main story insead of fighting the pirates for the 4th times espicially with the release schedule as for the last chapter it doesnt feel like miuras writing style but it def feels like his story he said in an interview that he completed the story i know we may not get all the details he would have put but the general idea is def finished i just hope we dont get many loose ends and unfinished storylines and we get a closure for all charachters
Someone pointed this out: remember Chitch from the Flashback chapters? She said she’ll disappear if the flower in Guts’ prison dies? I think it worked the same with Elfhelm. Since Ivalera and Puck are not attached ethereally with Elfhelm, they did not disappear with Elfhelm.

The artwork also fantastic, it inspired me to take up digital art lol.
@@HH04_ I only started Berserk 4 years ago so maybe I would have another opinion if I were to follow the boat episodes live, but reading them uninterrupted they flowed really nicely together. Some of the great parts you already listed and I have to say they are absolutely some of my favorite moments in the entirety of Berserk, which is why I hold the arc in such high regard. I think at the end of the day you could make a case for every single arc being the strongest in Berserk, which is why I love it so much.

The biggest thing that fell flat for me is Skull Knight. Finally Griffith makes an appearance and Skull Knight goes to Isidro first? Does not make any sense to me

-I did not pick up that SK saved Guts. If that was the intent then it went way over my head.
-Roderick escaping from the spirits should have really been elaborated on.
-Rod shouting out to Guts not to do anything stupid makes me think he's on suicide watch.
-I thought that the current shape of Elf Island was caused by part of the island sinking into the sea (the when the land was breaking apart)

As much as I hate that idea,I got a hint of it when the little Casca said "there's someone I want to see",I was always of the opinion that Casca didn't deserve Guts,but Guts' passion and love for her is what sold me in on it.
I'm still hoping for a Guts and Farnese relationship,I mean all that hinting couldn't be for nothing,but whatever we get,I'm happy with,I just want Guts'suffering to come to an end

The EG scans for this chapter were really low quality. The more amateur translation had a better image so it had to do unfortunately

EG scan with proper quality should be on mangadex if you do wanna check for it. regardless i did enjoy the video itself btw
