@@10packspyscho11 No, it's not that he spoiled us, I think it's just that people think art gets created in a vacuum, and there is a whole conversation that a team has to make when they are storyboarding a scene, how does Muira want it to look, what looks practical, what can they pull off, what do they have to go back to cut or expand, what does Hakusensha think about the elements they are allowed to influence, when do they want it released, how much faith do they put into Muira to let him brew it, etc etc. I like the comparison to George RR Martin, because it's exactly like being an author, in that you might know where the story is going, but once you put everything on the page, you then have to struggle to get the page to reflect what's in your head, even with just words, but even more so when we are talking about illustrations. Also, speaking from an artists perspective (obviously not on Muira's level, but still) getting close to the end of a huge project can be very motivating to work hard, put in more hours, and finish it. Not rushing, per say, but knowing the end is in sight can be a good push. Maybe I'm wrong, but we can be hopeful. Also, the age thing is really dependent on Muira. For example, Miyazaki retired in 2013 at around age 72, but came out of retirement a few years ago to work on a new movie for his grandson. He's currently 80, and I believe the film still has a few more years of animating. Perhaps that's unrealistic for some, but if Muira is determined, and can work with his team mainly to oversee things, perhaps working until he's 75 or so isn't crazy, and that's another 20 years. And that's at like 5 chapters a year, if there is no increase in frequency ( or decrease :/). Yeah but its been several months sense a berserk chapter has been released. Honestly miuras had decades to plan this series and how it'll end yet he still is taking forever. Plus I honestly think there no excuse for the artwork because he has a whole team to back him up. But if u look at people like one an murata from one punch man they used to produce high quality chapters every few weeks like clockworks. Plus the chapters looked even better than berserk. I genuinely think miura is just lazy. Even if he doesn't know where he wants to go for the ending he can still be making chapter's working towards that end. What's sad is that there are manga artist out there that do this shit and post every week and still have an amazing story. While none of them are as good as berserk u would think he would know where he wants the story to go. Especially after writing a series that's been here sense the 80s

Well, if he think this way he'll probably die before the series does and it wont ever be finished! To be honest Id rather he gave it an end, and even better, take a 4 years hiatus while producing it and 4 years later when he got a bunch of chapters made release them in a regular basis so the pace can actually get us excited, then once he finishes it go on to make an spin off on the same universe. @@ladygabes5558 And you'd rather have him too old to finish a story that can easily hit 450 chapters in a decade? I'm sure majority of fans want his ending over his illustrations at the end of the day. Sad to say, but anything could happen to him. He ought to be prepared for the worst. He could live to be 90 or he could die in a week, especially with his work style. Shoot, a tsunami or earthquake could hit Japan again.

@@Struggler118 Would you believe me if I told you that the drawings are 20% of what makes Berserk a great among greats? This is the entire basis for my stance on continuing the actual story. Narrative, philosophical concepts, the magic system, the character evolutions/devolutions, etc. All of these work in complete sync in Berserk to create the story. And if you're versed enough, you can even make decent predictions on how the main story will end. Better to earn your degree on Bs than to get held up struggling to make A+s each and every time. The story is more important. Look at all the other unfinished great manga out there. Perfectionism isn't worth it.
Berserk Hxh Vagabond Dgrayman How sad to be a fan of all those at the same time. Honestly at this point whatever those authors decide i just wish to know the end of their vision, no matter what it looks like.

@@bigbangzebraman351 i don't want to sound mean but of course not it doesn't solve it at all. I wish to see the end of this story in the way Inoue will do it not another medium or artist. That's what it means to be a fan of someone, you want to see their version of this story
I'm glad that he has plans even if they are not panning out well. Honestly, I think it would be worth having lower quality art if it means that this story can actually be finished. Normally I am all for quality over quantity, but for Berserk, even at its worst (it terms of artwork), it still looked good. Plus if it means not waiting two decades or more for this story to finish then it is well worth the art taking a hit.
I'm kinda sad for Duranki. Miura doing a manga set in the Bronze Age following the tale of a Hurrian prince taking back his land from Assyrian oppressors filled with Mesopotamian and Anatolian mythology is like a dream come true.
It can be fun if produced properly and not making a series thats more than 2 decades old get a back sit... He have brilliant ideas but unless hes willing to stand back and become just a writer and let other talent to the artworks he cant really afford to get so many projects going at once... @@AFKAwesome we don't speak of it.

So many innocuous details of this video hit so differently now.
Thank you Legend. Let’s all pay respect by moving ahead through any struggle life throws at us.....RIP
I don't think there's ever going to be one...
Maybe Miura should let his art take a hit, and then redraw his art after the story is over. Ironically, sacrifices have to be made.
That would make him to old to re draw all of that. Better not.
@@ladygabes5558 The latest chapter was....different to say the least. This is where time consuming illustrations become an issue and hold back releases. MF Doom, another middle-aged creator who was world-reknowned, passed a little while ago. Perfectionism won't matter if you never complete your work.
Never rush berserk. I'll wait forever while enjoying the artwork that has sweat and tears put into it
@@Struggler118 Would you believe me if I told you that the drawings are 20% of what makes Berserk a great among greats? This is the entire basis for my stance on continuing the actual story. Narrative, philosophical concepts, the magic system, the character evolutions/devolutions, etc. All of these work in complete sync in Berserk to create the story. And if you're versed enough, you can even make decent predictions on how the main story will end. Better to earn your degree on Bs than to get held up struggling to make A+s each and every time. The story is more important. Look at all the other unfinished great manga out there. Perfectionism isn't worth it.
Rip Kentaro
This video gave me hope and today it was shattered, rest in peace Kentaro Miura
a single chapter came out in the span of my last relationship, that's kinda hilarious
Kentaro Miura, the creator of Berserk, has passed away😢 R.I.P
Literally 1 week before he passed way. Yeesh. Rest in peace, Miura. Enjoy your eternal hiatus.
Rest In Peace kentaro miura.....
Now I am just depressed because Miura died. The world lost the best Manga author of all time.
The future of Berserk it's just an alternative reality now...
R.I.P Kentaro Miura 1966-2021
Rest in peace, Kentaro Miura.
RIP 🙏
and the author passes away sadly, unless staff work on it guts will probably struggle for eternity
Rest in peace Miura... the creator of the unfinished masterpiece.

No Future for Us.
It was all according to casualty
RIP KENTARO MIURA 😢
Berserk

Vagabond
Dgrayman
How sad to be a fan of all those at the same time. Honestly at this point whatever those authors decide i just wish to know the end of their vision, no matter what it looks like.
Bastard!! fans on life support
Vagabond has finished!
Vagabond has a final chapter atlest
Just read the novel of which vagabond is based on, and you'll get your ending. Technically there are even live action adaptations of vagabond, because of there being many adaptations of the novel, so you could watch that instead.
I love his artwork and itd be terrible if we lost it but if his mind is so full of brilliant ideas like this one why not just share them and trust that some younger artirts can do a great work with it!?
Rest in piece Kentaro....😢
RIP master Miura
RIP Kentaro Miura you were a legend

R.I.P Kentaro Miura
I can't imagine how Oda make a weekly chapter while the quality of the art and the story keep getting better
He really is unbelievable isn’t he lol
not to mention Morikawa
Kentaro is amazing but oda’s been putting out volume after volume for 20yrs with like only 2 breaks lol practice makes perfect after all
@@Thiccness_Is_Delicious Morikawa, the author of Hajime no Ippo, started Ippo in 1989 and he makes a chapter every week, Miura worked for Morikawa as an assistant at the start
