Second movement was a huge step up for brass band music.
8:30
tempo is somewhat slowly in my opinion @ I prelude
Wonderful suite! It's interesting to play alongside the arrangement for strings. The Rondo seems, somehow, more powerful in the brass version. I really like the cover painting......
9:25 Minuet ♡♡
Listening to this for the first time I notice a motif from the music for The Overlanders at 2:54. I see that the conductor is James Stobart, a horn player with the HR Sinfonioeorhester (Franffurt Radio SO).
Nice spot!
Second movement Elegy 5:45.
Played Elergy last night at Band rehearsal. A very emotional stand out piece as part of a great composition
