- This is a review of the superbright Imalent MS06 flashlight. The MS06 is the brightest flashlight I have tested so far and is capable of a maximum light output of 25,000 lumens. Imalent are known for their superbright flashlights and the MS06 is no exception. There are very few compact handheld flashlights can can compete with the 25000 lumen MS06 from Imalent.

Product Sourcing:
When it comes to sourcing a product for review, I will usually either purchase an item personally or reach out to a supplier requesting a sample for review. Most suppliers, after seeing the channel, are supportive if they are confident in their product, appreciating the value of greater exposure.
I am sometimes asked to review a product by a supplier which I will only agree to if the product fits the channel and I believe will be of interest to you, my audience. Also the product needs to be worthy of a review. It is not in my interest to review inferior or poor quality products and therefore as you might expect many requests are politely declined.
Any sponsored videos (paid for reviews) are clearly stated as such so there can be no misunderstanding. Even with sponsored reviews I will only agree to a sponsorship on products and services which I believe will be of genuine interest to viewers.
I will always make reference in the video to products which have been provided for review by a supplier and I always make it clear to the supplier that they cannot influence or be involved in the review in any way if they choose to supply a product.
Sometimes a supplier will provide a link to the product or the supplier which I am happy to include in the description. Sometimes I will be provided with an affiliate link so I can earn a commission on sales and this helps to support channel costs but never at the expense of an honest review.
If a product I have reviewed is available from Amazon I will often include an Amazon link in the description. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you purchase a product or service with the links that I provide I may receive a small commission. There is no additional charge to you.
Thank you for supporting the channel so I can continue to provide you with regular reviews, thoughts and ideas and (hopefully) inspiration! Please consider subscribing to keep up to date with new video releases. - Хобби
I was sold when the lumens made your left eye stop twitching!
🤣🤣🤣
I see this channel growing and growing. Glad we got in as early investors. 📈
Thanks to all the great support we are nearly at 10k 👍😊
Just discovered this channel in my recommended feed. What a jewel of a channel. I LOVE gadget channels! Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub and welcome to the channel 👍
I work security and there is no better defence/offence than a strong flashlight. You don't even have to do it "on purpose." Sometimes when I'm having a heated discussion with a difficult individual (usually drunk) I will casually sweep my 1,200 lumen light past their face, usually at night, and they settle down quickly.
Great immobilizer.
Lol I can imagine
Excellent, I also work as a security officer with DoD and carry a Glock, would rather defuse an aggressor than have to use deadly force.
My first thought was that it would be a great coastguard backup torch, lots of options for night searches.; basically for anyone who has reason to be searching at night/in dark places, rescue being the obvious one,. I remember yachting once and practicing the Man overboard drill, surely a great option to pinpoint someone in the water in the dark with turbo and then track then on high till the boat can manoeuvre for rescue
yes - could work well although a stronger beam might be preferred - review in the works for a very high beam distance flashlight 😃
@@JonGadget Have the ImalentRT90TS and would be the one thrower I would use for such a search and rescue Torch!
Just be careful not to flash this into oncoming boats and blind the helmsman!
What a thoroughly detailed review! Thanks so much :)
Looks like a great flashlight for when you go camping and then freak yourself out about sounds in the middle of the night!
just came across you vlog as im always looking at torches . bloody great review . look forward to seeing more . rob from Australia .
I will feed my flash L addiction with this new beast. Thanks. Great video
you're welcome 👍
This is awesome. I might get this as a backup. But bought a DX 80 recently and its bright at 32000 lumens. Thanks for showing me this.
Excellent Video! Fantastic Product! Thanks!
Love your channel very professional and informative . I am going to buy one and it’s a great price I am nuts about brighter flashlight. Thank you for your channel. Keep up the good work. It is appreciated. It all fun and games until you need a very bright flashlight. God bless you.
Must have 😑🤤 Great Video thanks.
Great review. Thank you, Sir.
thank you 🙏
Excellent Excellent Excellent video THANK YOU!!!
Great review! Thank you.
Don't know about the USB-C charging concerns, we've already got a ton of power pumping through a USB-C port and cable right now.
Huh Huh Huh! You said “pumping”!
Really interesting. I can imagine, a younger version of me, doing anything to get hold of one of those!
I love flashlights too - gifting them away after a few months use! But this one is definitely one to keep!
Thanks Jon, this was an excellent, comprehensive review - only problem, one may not be able to get it here in India... Nevertheless, enjoyed watching your video!! 👍👍
This is a great review, the flashlight looks really good and it is incredibly bright. I consider Purchasing it.
1st time of seeing channel, have subscribed, very impressed, thanks :)
Absolutely great video thank you for sharing it 👍
Another great review Jon. I remember my first LED torch a LED Lenser P7 bought 11 years ago and that was 200 lumen. Interesting to see the technology evolve so rapidly. Imalent do a 100000 lumen torch but it's over £500 which is a little out of my price range for a flashlight this looks more reasonable for the money.
Thank you 🙏 it's amazing how the technology has evolved over the last few years.
Yes,the MS18 I have one and it's crazy bright. The acebeam W30 is brighter and it's just as expensive.
@@jerryinohio1978 Sorry, but the last time I checked 500 lumens ≠ 100,000 lumens.
Thanks, Enjoyed, Been a sucker for torches for 50+ years, Have quiet a few super ones. later from Texas, usa.
greetings Texas 👍
Wow, that's so over the top!
"Low" at 200 lms, when my flashlight has it for "High" 😄
I thought flashing your face with 25,000 lms would be blinding even with eyes closed, glad to see you made it out with both eyes 👀
Amazing content as always, it's good to introduce lesser known brands as well. Some channels are more of a snobs in terms of only working with like 3-4 big brand names and that's it.
Also we're almost at 10K subs! To many more to come 🍻
Thanks for the feedback as always Eyal - yes we are just about to cross that milestone - thanks for your continued support 😊
Ahhaha exsactly my thoughts.. both eyes haha
Thanks @Barry Keating I'm really happy with the channel growth - thanks for the support
This will be extremely useful when I unearth and explore the Temple of Doom. Thanks! I had no idea something like this existed.
The turbo mode can be super useful as a self defense tool at night without the need for a pepper spray or similar. If someone attacks you, quickly turning on turbo will blind them for a few seconds giving at opportunity to get away. If that doesn’t work you can use it as a brick 🤷🏼♂️
Also the strobe feature can have a disorienting effect to an assailant.
jamaal would beg to differ, sir
That s point of these lights I would say. In Australia that s the only self defense tool you are allowed to carry
Ive just subed to your channel thank you for their info on the torch, lit looks amazing
I love the “chonk” of this flashlight. Although it is a bit weighty, and you can’t really just chuck it in a pocket, it feels very satisfying in the hand.
Price is now £179.99 in the UK.
I had this in my bag and the button got hit four times and it melted the case to the lens. Thing is mental!!! My neighbours were speaking about strande lights in the sky. 😂
Great review my friend! may consider this flashlight later in the year
Great review again Jon, what a piece of kit! I agree about the size and weight - I rarely use a similar sized torch because it gets really heavy after a while. 4000 lumens that fits it my jeans pocket is enough for me. Honestly 400 lumens on my headlamp is more than enough for 99% of my needs, but it's fun to have more.
totally agree 👍
sounds like a d4v2
Good video, thanks for the tip on quarter turn to turn off the flashlight. Vancouver Island Canada 🇨🇦. the Costco headlamps are now in stock! 3 for $25 Canadian. Maybe I should do a review! Only kidding, have a great day!
Great review thank you
I swear RUclips has been pushing more of your content to my recommendations, man. As a result, I ordered a Workchamp.
Hopefully that's a good thing 😬
Great review. Might purchase one. I was curious though just like all other electronics when the battery goes out so will your investment. Do they sell replacement batteries for this flashlight?
Great review 👍
Great video. That company should pay you for promoting their product. I'm getting one for sure.
$200.00 plus
@@dwoaks1 Yeah it is expensive but it looks like you get what you pay for. I hope it has some kind of warranty.
Congrats on being blessed by the RUclips algorithm. Just found your channel.
great to hear 👍 welcome 😊
very good looking torch
After watching Jon's Excellent Review of this Flashlight i felt compelled to add one to my growing Flashlight Stash, and i was not Disappointed.
Yes it does get rather warm on Turbo Mode but that is to be Expected from a Flashlight of this Size and Power, Well Pleased...Thanks Jon and keep the Excellent Reviews Coming :-)
Thank you for the feed back Daz 👍
Where I can buy that flashlight ?
@@rankobaic4075 check out the link in the description under this video 👍

Maybe the intention of machining the battery separator out of aluminum is also to act as a heat sink for the batteries ? Cuz I’ve noticed that high drain 18650s used for vape devices get pretty warm when in use 🤨🤨
great video .. super flashlight .. deadly strobe intensity .
I would love to have one
This was quite interesting. Thanks for the lesson and for demonstrating this remarkable flashlight. Wow!
Agreed, good product review, not sure I'd want a Coke can on my belt, I'm happy with a smaller flashlight, along with my Gerber tool, knife and .45.
That being said it is a Kool flashlight, although I'm not a big fan of proprietary charging cords.
Your neighbors must love you
😬
Nice video👍👍the flashlight is fantastic 🤩👍
That's bright. I bet it's a heater. Thanks for sharing.
It looks verry nice.
This is the first time I hear Jonathan swear on camera, it was indeed a "wtf" moment haha. Nice review as always.
Great price... This would be very helpful on my property in the filipines. I'll have to buy one and ship it over in a cargo box.
I might strap on a couple of these as front headlights 🚘
Hi Jon, I cam across your channel purely by chance, and I’m hooked. Excellent review of an excellent torch, more than perfect for dog walking.
Where are these sold in the U.K.?
I bet your popular with your neighbours with that portable sun lol.
Thanks for the feedback 👍 the link in the description will take you to their website and I think they hold stock in the UK for UK sales.
I have one...we use turbo to start up our barbecue. Will burn paper or melt plastics easily....Awesome Beast of a light👍
Jon happy Thursday 4th Nov.2021, CONGRATULATIONS on reaching 10K Followers, on to 100K Followers ASAP !
Thanks Steve for your support 🙏😊
£170 now on Amazon- your video has pushed the price up!
I doubt one video is to blame but their price is all over the place!
Nice review Jon.
Thanks!
Awesome review
Thanks!
@@JonGadget you’re welcome I like your content
Nice vid. Thanks for sharing. What camera / lens did you use for this video (in your studio) - thanks
cameras are both Sony Zv-1 😊
I'ma new sub to your chann because I find the content fascinating thanks for sharing
Impressive number of views!
I'll save this film,it cured my insomnia
I'd like to try that out, I work railroad so I do a lot of walking in the dark to rear of trains in the middle of nowhere. The lights the give us barely shines 5 feet lol
Great review! Currently using the ThruNite TN50 and absolutely love it. Do lose that side switch sometimes though. Still one of the best bricks I've bought
Thanks for the feedback - I've not used the TN50 but it looks similar 👍
very well detailed review.
thank you
Very powerful 🌞
Nice video. CRI value for this light?
Awesome
very nice!
Hello Jon, love your glasses. What brand is this?
Hi Jon, after watching your review of this flood lite I ordered one on Nov 24th. I did so directly from the imalent store as opposed thru Amazon bcuz it was significantly cheaper!$! That being said I still havnt recieved it 3 weeks later. I did get a text update last Thursday Dec 9th that my order had shipped. Is that normal for it to take so long to receive a purchase from this store? I realize that you said they maybe located in China. Thanks
Hello, very good video. If you must make a decision from MS06 and R60C who would choose ?
Hi. I've not reviewed the R60C but reflector profile provides greater reported range of over 1KM. So depends if you want range or flood I think.
My Fenix P1 turned on in my EDC burned the pack and burnt out the lens. Screwing it a bit is great advice.
Blimey! Cool!
Good stuff.
Very cool, im gonna buy one for my cross country Tesla trip👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Have fun!
Legit intro transition
You are great.
Nice backdrop, man.
Did it come with an oven mitt for when it gets hot?
Mine came with an extra O ring. And I also got the MS03 and it's very impressive for it's size 13,000 lumens.
Cool Video 👍
Thank U for the Info and the Links 👍
U got a new subscriber...
Welcome to the channel and thank you 😊
Hi Jon. the battery separator is made of machined aluminum rather than plastic, which has more to do with the heat dissipation of the torch which one can expect to be high in such a small-big guy. than
Excelente 👌
I don't need one but i want one.
What even the hell?! Amazing...
I need that for my bike light
Any good for finding golf balls
I am very much interested in this flashlight especially when I'm legally blind and helped turn night into day for me to see
They also make a warm light version of this, which I think would be a better option.
That's a lot of lumens 👍💕
11:13 how many pushes can the button take before it loses contact?
The cord would double as a belt for the case and you should be able to plat it up when using it as a lanyard on your wrist.
Remarks about strobe at 12:20 ... Would strobe mode run indefinitely without stepping down❔Because strobe is flashing on/off it should use only half the power. ❔
looks like it would fit nice in your cup holder
They do a 100,000 lumen torch mental!
Crazy!
Nice they include the belt sheath, of course it's probably illegal to carry a beefy flashlight like that in the UK. I mean, you could make someone really uncomfortable with that being so bright!
🤣🤣🤣
I have to wonder how far short of the claimed output it really is? Have you considered measuring it?
"I've no idea what does that means but Im sure thats pretty good"...haha I subscribed after that statement...
😁 Apologies for the slow response!! - thanks for the sub though and welcome to the channel 👍
Would this be good for just a reading light?
