- Tom Kallas recently claimed the all-time WR squat @ 165 raw with wraps with an amazing 677 lb squat. It looks like his record may not stand for long, however, as it appears Arkady Shaloha is now training raw with wraps, and may be looking to break Rick Gaugler's long-standing all-time total WR at 165, as well as the squat record.

4.2 x bodyweight for 4 reps. I am just amazed.
Incredible power for his size damn!
Incredible power regardless of size
This guy is a total package! Probably the strongest 165 out there.
This is amazing. Literally unbelievable.
Wow, that was awesome!
Is this real life once again
That's amazing!
That's fucking ridiculous.
4 times bodyweight squat for 4 repetitions.
U wot m8
amazing strength, body looks natural
dude looks like he is leaning right with one side 10cm lower than the other, either way mad respect for that lift!
wow
When are we to see some new training footage from your mr.etwade?
I haven't been doing much worth posting. I thought I was going to finally bench 405, but I injured my pec in the weeks leading up to my max. So I have been hitting PRs on overhead press for the time being. :) I'm not squatting as heavy as I have been because work and school have been overloading me--I'm working on writing my dissertation over the summer. But thanks for asking, and hopefully soon I'll be back to posting PRs.
I seriously want to know what physical mechanisms allow him to lift that weight. he is small as hell, but that's what makes this cool. Always got way more respect for smaller dudes lifting crazy weight then big dudes who are relatively weak.
His muscle insertions are most likely insanely low. Imagine a bicep, the less distance it has from your elbow the more force potential it has. This guy has probably one of the most deep quadriceps muscle insertions.
Spotters need to avoid contacting the plates.
Ya still training these days?
Wtf how...
why is he unracking forward? to avoid the looking in the mirror?
A lot of Chinese weightlifters do it, the question is why not? It's just what we are used to in the west. Could also be the mirror.
because trying to walk backwards blindly into a rack when you've just finished a set is more dangerous than walking forward. The chinese drop it on those crate thingies, not a rack
Maybe he can set himself a lot better walking forward. Plus he has side spotters to rack it for him
Jake Clinch
yeah but he would't be able to unrack forward in a meet would he?
Maybe he competes In a mono. We will never know
wtf
hahahah man i remember you from commenting on rashids chanell about cute girl from norway or sweden, keep kilin it in the gym
lol thanks brother lol, glad that made you laugh lol
Ok, that is just stupid. I quit
Wtf is this!!!!
Wearing wraps.
Not raw.
Come at me.
None of your guitar playing is real because you use electric. The amp adds a false advantage. I choose to define real guitar playing as acoustic. All other guitar playing isn't real. Come at me.
Touché
Haha, just teasing. I get what you're saying, though. I just usually put "raw with wraps" but the title was so long I cut it down and put it in the description.
