If you're under 400hp (stock ls pretty much), just redoing the suspension with adding factory type bracing, rebuilding the brakes with stock stuff, and adding a good performance shock with stock Grand national or monte SS spec springs is perfectly fine. I've done all that to my car and I get pretty hairy with it and it's always been a great driver.

Awesome man. Back in the say peolle thought those smog choked 305 chevy v8 were the shit. I had a 87 307 olds in my 1979 cutlass with a ported 4brl. Not a powerhouse but a daily driver. An ls swap will make a monte ss the car gm could have built.

My 84 olds 2door got a 72 olds 350 with all the goodies but im adding a quadrajet holley efi on top of my baby never ls swapping my olds cutlass but i will a Monte carlo when i get my hands on one no roof or t-tops love the hard-top g-bodys 💪🏾💪🏾that's jus my preference but lov all g'-body's tho..

Bro, what’s the difference between a 4L60-E and a 4L65-E? Doing a 6.0 in my 1970 Cadillac DeVille convertible and considering a LSA supercharger. Thinking about a 4L80-E but just not sure.
Im just now reading a learning but I believe that the difference between a 60 and a 65 is just the weight rating for the car that that transmission came attached to. the 65 would be stronger since it came with heavier cars
You can also go cheaper than that by going to the junkyard pulling out some disc brakes off of a 1995 Trailblazer which is direct bolt on all the way I'm running Wildwood if I'm going 6 Pistons other than that give me some of the 1995 Trailblazer
If anyone is selling an old big block chevy or 455olds that they no longer want and your close to dallas hmu because this 307 aint gonma cut it on my parisienne
Do Not Buy a Tahoe or Yukon or any of the pickups as a donor vehicle if its been Carolina squatted. The engine may be damaged from oil starvation, due to the squat. Word to the wise.

Aluminum heads ,rod bolts , main studs . Port all oil gallys.and a decent cam and enjoy .
