There seems to be no actual in-depth tutorial on how to make these. What format? Does the final file need transparency? I keep trying to make one for a family member but it usually ends up stopping early, not being completely opaque (despite using only black and white) and/or playing too slowly.
Poorly explained. Myself like many others in the comments left frustrated. This video provides no insight into how the track matte works, or how to create a compatible track matte video.
@@memphisgm Hey guys, if the issue is what I think it is (Im not customer support or anything, just chiming in) it might be a CPU issue. Track Matte transitions run both scenes at the same time, and the transition is graphically intensive. Im hoping these hiccups get fixed as OBS continues to update itself. Hope it works out for you!
I'm currently trying to figure out if I now need to p0uirchase a new transition. I was using a normal stinger transition, and it super zooms into the stinger when using the track matte. Is there a way to fix this without making a new purchase?
Kinda sucks that they removed the separate file option. As I would love to use Uncompressed AVI on SSD for a Stinger but AVI does not seem to allow this widescreen.
We agree. We had the separate files ready to rock of course, but I guess they were having issues with syncing them properly. Maybe we'll see them in another release in the future.
Yup, we're applying any fixes and additions as needed! We didn't expect them to remove the separate file options - but thankful we got any options at all!
@@NerdorDie This is correct. We were unable to get lock-step decoding of two videos figured out in time for the release. This would have still been fine for a lot of cases, but would make it unusable in other situations. The option may return in the future, or we may provide a track matte only option, but that's for another update.
@@KnockoutDuke I did side by side sometimes it works other times it doesn't. I can go from my in game scene to brb it will be black then when i go back to my in game nothing it just jumps to it
@@brightsideplays6307 Try running OBS as administrator. If that doesn’t work, make sure you don’t have any settings messing it up (transition matrix plugin.) I have not experienced this issue once I figured out which file to select.

Chances are you've not got the right setting or using the right files. Make sure to use the files provided in the OBS 27 folder and choose "Matte Tracking" in the stinger properties.

any reason why during the matte trans there's a hiccup where it flashes back to the last scene for a sec???

I had to redownload the premium pack to get the side by side versions. As the initial release did not include these.

my transitions arent working even though i have the track matte feature on any help?
Use the side by side transitions in the OBS 27+ folder.. otherwise it won't work. Found it out the hard way.

If SLOBS add this feature (I imagine they will) you will be able to use these files.
