    It's quite refreshing to see more electronic commuter trains outside the northeast.

    I'm not sure that "Final Days of the Diesels" is entirely accurate, as there will still be diesel service running to Gilroy. But it is still the end of an era, that's for sure...

    One thing that most people are unaware of is the when the Nippon Shariyo Bi-level coaches were built. The cars were tested in Pueblo, Colorado and during a simulated crash test. The Nippon Shariyo coaches failed; meaning that most passenger on board would more than likely have died in a crash.
    That’s why the former Bi-level coaches are being sold to other countries.

    @spottinbythebay From 19:46 to 21:38 I saw that local train from all the way back from Blossom Hill station oh and seeing a double header on Caltrain is rare and it is for almost all rail operators (except freight rail) yk.

      Honestly, nobody’s making you ride the EMU’s. If you dislike them so much you’ll have to wait for the Bombardier Coach trains to arrive, but I suspect that you’ll be late to work?

      It’s not possible to find parts for the F40’s as they’ve been discontinued, also EMD no longer exists.

    • @edisonz2006
      @edisonz2006 2 месяца назад +20

      Lmao what a classic foamer response. EMUs' are way better for the average commute since they can accelerate much faster (meaning less journey time) and produce no carbon emissions compared to diesels.
