The Summit Stage 3 truck cam has a strong lopey idle and is about the biggest daily driver cam in a 5.3 and a 2500 stall converter is recommended. However from the research that I have done. It is also recommended that the stall speed of your torque converter will need to be at least 500 RPM higher than the beginning of the powerband of your camshaft in this case 3000 RPMs. The cam specs are intake and exhaust lift with factory rocker arm ratio are 550". The Duration at 050 inch Lift is 222 int./232 exh. Lobe Separation is 112 (degrees). Basic Operating RPM Range 2,500-6,500.

Did the motor need break in oil or was it a drop and play besides going to get it tuned
