@@RBTheMechanicHello. My sister has a 2003 Honda Civic LX and the AC is always on. As soon as you turn the key to ON position, the AC compressor comes on even if the fan switch and AC button are in OFF position. I had replaced both the engine coolant temperature sensor and the radiator fan switch but the problem persists. I have checked the relays by switching them around and they're working fine. #1 What could be causing the AC compressor to stay on? #2 If I remove the AC fuse or AC relay (clutch or compressor or both) would it give me a problem? I don't mind not having the AC right now since it's starting to get cold and it's not really needed. It's an extra car so it won't be driven when it's raining, so fogging should not be an issue.

I have seen this issue, quickest way to verify is to visually confirm the clutch is spinning, if the fuse, relay and mag clutch are all working and the compressor is still not spinning you could have a larger gap between the clutch and pulley. The clutch comes from the factory with a washer shim. Sometimes its enough to remove the factory shim and the gap comes back into spec (0.35mm - 0.65mm)
