9:15 nice chevy
2:29 a dome car!
Damn that train at 3:15 is flying man!!! I love it. I use to take amtrak back and forth to work from Wisconsin to Chicago everyday for a year and a half.
3:10 you can evan see the train turning
8:09 look at the plant on the left
I know right
no amtrakcalifornia, left
Ik left but I’m saying ikr
Dang!!!! Its so strong it makes itself a microblast wind! I remember walking by the amtrak with family in San Clemente, CA walking tracks near the beach, and the wind was so powerful it almost knocked us over a bit
The train goes fast and it makes wind and the plant goes shaking
1:53 waiting that extra 15 seconds would've really messed up that girls schedule for the day, smart move to disobey the law like that.
Homer Thompson I don't think it is illegal unless you create an accident
Once the lights and bells sound off, technically it's trespassing on railroad property and I think it's treated like running a red light.
The gates weren't fully down at the time so...
djbrian Doesn't matter. Bell rings, lights flash, tresspassing.
As long as there are flashing red lights, you're immediate reaction should be to stop. That's why they're there. And it IS illegal to cross tracks when RR crossings are activated, even when it appears nothings is coming. Only in the event of a malfunction should you cross when you are absolutely sure there is nothing. I've been told this multiple times and I take it seriously.
1:17: As fast as a cheetah
2:22 Category 1 hurricane
3:40 Me rushing to the bathroom
8:10 a 3 year old kid that ate the whole pack of sour patch kids
5:00 Me trying to catch the bus
7:09 when I drank coffee, I began to run around wild
5:47 as me going fast as Soinc
It sounds better when you play it at full speed
@@thenewjerseyrailfanner1982 Yea but not 5:00 at 2 speed
4:46 is a great example of how sound-waves can mess with a train horn.
3:25 those girls are smart!!!
I agree
smart to step back very smart those Amtrak's in san Diego really move!!!!
People don't judge the speed of the train and all of a sudden its on top of you.
People think they have time to cross the tracks. Then splat, they're red mist.
Yep your correct!
8:10 look at those palm trees lol
RIP
Lol
THOSE PLAM TREES ARE DEAD RIP LOL AT 8:10
I am a train 🚆and I approve this video
But what train are u

9:00 That shot of 452's K5 is just amazing!
Are they really placing lights in the bogies ?
@@choupi4719 ...
I really like the bogies on the coaches
Fouled K5LA
Love all the mechanical bells out here especially @ 8:36! Gr8 vid!
3:15 That NPCU Horn is absolutely georgeous.
WOW! See the blast of air coming off the lead engines, push the cameras back and fourth and actually cut the sound out for a second or two. I also like how the train fits in it's surroudings. Everything is landscaped and clean.
I saw the 2 girls or young women come up to the crossing as likes are going, and one stopped and grabbed the other one by the arm to keep her from crossing the track. Then when the train got there, I think the speed scared them, and they both turned and did a little run away from the tracks.
Anyway, this is a great video. I love trains that can fly!
Thank you for posting this.
I like the sound of the warning bells because it is amazing and clever
I love your videos. Especially the ones featuring high speed trains. They show very well how deceptively fast a trains can be.
Tyler Mac happy Amtrak new year
Im still amazed at how fast these trains are being that they are in a location easily accessible by people, cars, etc. I live near Philly and the Amtraks we have here are in an area that is not easily accessible (unless you are trespassing) so its understandable that they go fast. But you would figure they would have a slower speed limit passing thru an area like this.
Holy crap ! They were hauling. Those 2 women at the crossing looked scared.
Love this area! Stayed at an Airbnb right near the tracks in Carlsbad two years ago, could hear the fast trains all night, so nice to fall asleep to. :)
European trains may be faster but North American trains are a hell of a lot bigger and heavier.
when your onboard a train going 186mph its quite cool
+Jos Anoia' ty
That's why their less efficient and slow as hell
HEY MAMMA I’M SO HAPPY YOU GOT TO YOUR WORK I WANNA I LOVE MY MOMMY I AND MY BABY MOM MADE YOU LOOK LIKE A BABY MOMMY

I used to love riding the Amtrak through this stretch in the San Diego area, especially along the coast :) Right into my LOCOMOTIVE playlist. Thank you :) ROCK ON!!!!!!!

That surfliner engine horns have always gave me nightmares...

How
I love the sound of the engine horns but, from a very safe distance 😎

2:10 amazing horn show
CarCat she was roaring
There are some impressive coaches on American trains
They've been improving them the last couple of years. They just keep getting nicer and nicer.
Good call @3:23 she wanted to cross even with the gates signaling, but her wise friend said WAIT. Even better judgement @3:37 when they decided to step back as the train was about to cross pass them to avoid being blown by the force of the speeding train. Folk need to understand the dangers behind grade crossings and that rules must be followed for everyone's safety. Great video though! :)
Yeah thats good.
agreed
Was exactly thinking the same thing... It was just a matter of seconds before she stopped her and train passed by... Never take any risk that you easily wait it out!
They only stopped because they saw the camera filming they both look right at it after stopping.
JD L Well said.

The second shot at 1:38 was awesome and the video overall was fantastic! Great job.
The surfliner sound like grapes 🍇 5:47
This was the day before my birthday. I also caught the 455 on 774 late. It got to San Diego at about 4:53p.m.
It amazes me how many people want to walk when the warning lights are on. This video also shows how you need to respect a train. It may seem far away but can be on top of you in seconds! Excellent video by the way, love trains!
3:36 “Yeah, lemme just step back a bit. You go on ahead without me.”
Train: I wanted to ruin that lady’s career

This brings back the memories from when my grandpa would take me to the train station in Carlsbad. This also reminds me of when we'd take the Sprinter to some Cold Stone, idk where tho. Also when we'd ride the Coaster to Sonora Beach. Good times.
These trains are not close to those we have here in japan but there okie to look at lol
Seeing those Amtrak videos make me want to plan a RAIL TRIP USA & Canada-after I hit the big one and resolve my family situation after I win big!😀
what kind of camera are you using... the video is clear and crisp.....
Canon XA20. Its also in my channel description.
Nice shots. Looks real nice there with palm trees and blue skies.
Trains are unnoticed locomotive that bear both the burden and the beautiful transportation bliss.
Absolutely love the video, thank you for sharing it. Had some questions about the lights and speed, but a quick run through the comments was good enough to get the answers I was looking for :) Love the fading light and time of day used to photograph daytime as well as nighttime trains passing by (unless it was edited footage) :) .
k
Amazing video! Crazy seeing the speed on these with a lot of pedestrian traffic around!
Too bad F59PHI's are not being built anymore, they would be perfect for the Midwest high speed train routes.

Well, s soon as Amtrak starts replacing their locomotives with SC-44 Charges, they will also began sell the F59PHI and P42DC locomotives, so they may have a chance to buy some of those locomotives in the future.
I don't think the P42DCs are being replaced anytime soon. Same with the Dash 8s. I only saw something about the F59phis being replaced. I am pretty sure the P42DCs will still run for years to come.
I can remember watching this in 2016 and 2014 great memories
The operators who are right in the nose of that unstoppable giant beast must be praying every time they are approaching a densely populated place, they seriously got to have nerves of steel! 😲
9:12 That pickup truck didn't have to wait at all!
David Smalldridge exactly!he just arrived at the crossing when the train ended
If I were him I would be pissed off
1:16 The train said...”hello”
The horn HEllO HELLO
Perfect, love watching the train approach from the distance
I love Amtrak trains
Looks like some beautiful areas. Thanks for the upload!
3:38 is it engine-less cab car?
Yep, or known as cabbage/NPCU
Cabbage - Combination of Cab and Baggage
NPCU - Non Powered Control Unit
Absolutely love it! Those trains fly through there at some wicked speeds, excellent coverage! I'd love to visit this area someday!
Tyler Mac merry Amtrak Christmas
I love this video!! Encinitas looks like a beautiful area.
I love that rustic feel of the crossing in the 3rd bonus shot
Nostalgia, this is the first train video I've seen.
Abstract Note I'll say.
4:28 That amtrak surfliner is SO FAST (fast F59PHI)
Have never been to California so thanks for sharing your videos that we can watch here in Ontario, Canada. Excellent videos.
I’ve been to California once to watch Amtrak train it was exciting
Wow! Romantic! The words "Passengers do not sleep, but there is silence around, Outside the window, the sound of wheels, in the lights of the city. "
I like how the 2 women did a step back
pag..
pag I don't know!
Yea, after one of the women grabbed the other and pulled her back from Crossing in front of the high-speed train. LOL
pag v
I thought it was really funny too. There’s always one that does that at any station is blasting through the station
3:25 Finally! Someone has a brain!
^
Great video! I like how the engineer laid on the horn from the grade crossing through the station into the pedestrian crossing at Carlsbad in the 2nd shot
I was just at the Encinitas station a few weeks ago. This filming from 2013 doesn't do the trains true action any justice. The best place to film is at the center of the loading platform with the train heading northward. The train comes in fast, the entire station shakes, the signs at the station sway back and forth, there is dust in the air and you really have to brace your step. It looks exactly like what you see in the movies.
It was so fast that it looked like a storm after it went past 8:06
The plant was doing a boogie because it is a foamer
They are big heavy powerful machines, I would be haul-assing away from there seeing a train coming that fast. Good job 👍 for the ladies.
Fast trains: 1:12 2:16 3:37 5:00 5:45 7:05 8:07
One of my best buddies lives at the top of that hill. Every time I go hang out there, he warns me about the trains
4:19 why did the 2nd set of signals flash before the first set of signals?
It’s how the sensors are set up
The second set were at a highway crossing with a gate. Had to allow for time for gate to drop. First set are at the pedestrian crossing for the station parking lot...no gate.
1:47
She passed over when the signals are on and when there a very very very very high speed amtrack going through
nice, NICE! Thanks for your Great filming!
That's awesome totally a big fan of Amtrak keep making videos like these
I like what the lady did in 3:24 She’s a lifesaver
_Dunkin_Doughnutz _ very true (^∇^)
How? The train was super far, did you expect the person to just stand on the tracks? running is a thing
@@NortheastCorridorFilms even if the train was a safe distance from you to cross it’s still best wait for it to pass cause trains like these are unpredictably fast
@@Ze1oro i agree just to be safe but she could have cleared 10 times
That area looks really nice. I love this video!! 🚂 🚞 🚊
This is actually a slower section of the Sorrento Valley to Fullerton run. There is a curve just north of the Encinitas station rated for about 60 MPH. You can see the superelevation of that curve in the second shot (the one with the female trespasser). Amtrak is routinely hitting 90 MPH between Oceanside and San Clemente, thanks to ATS (automatic train stop).
Car drivers seem to be a lot more sensible than those in eastern USA! Congratulations. Great video, thanks.
Some nice shots there. In Britain we are currently pushing for High Speed 2 capable of speeds of around 186mph. Not sure if the build will take place though due to many reasons. Greetings from the UK :)
Quality stuff yo!! Glad you hit Encinitas for a change of pace, it's a sick location!
Yep If You Sick I Guess
Many of these very same engines are now in service on Chicago's Metra Line.
Surfliner horns give me goosebumps
LOL even the birds got the hell out the way @1:46 & 2:06

Trains in USA are not good. You in France have nice trains and speed.
@@manowar2816 yes they do
used to love this as a kid, still do once in a great while
This is my favourite Amtrak video
3:20 despite warning signs, bells, flashing "red" lights and loud train horns...this girl seemed eager to end her life that day.....
Frank Rawr yup its idiots like these that get killed by trains the most
Joe Dohn still she's an idiot if her freind didnt pull her back she would have died
+Frank Rawr lmfao yep just a bunch of autistic idiots, a train at that speed wouldve most likely made a fuckin gory mess out of em, if not turn em into nothing. but they would probably have to get hit to understand that shit lol xd
4:33 has gotta be my favourite catch, great work 👍
This is a great video of interesting trains. Keep up the good work.
Great to see trains going at the speed designed to do. James from Australia
Actually these trains can go faster.
Awesome footage and compilation mate. Huge liked ❤️👍
I love how the lights on your EMDs go left and right. Small trains coach-wise but really good. I wish the US invested more in Railways like the rest of the world. Love from India ❤️
Great video. Very nice coloration and scene selection.
Very beautiful video and Amtrak trains!!!!
nice. I have never seen amtrak trains go so fast before.
Naquan Williams
That because amtrak trains are fast and I love it
It's easy. It's hard to see them in the city, because in cities they travel slower for safety. As soon as they go out they can go to 80 MPH if they desire
On the east coast they go over 120 mph !!!!
Breezy Interwebs Now you have.
The flying fridges.

Lol like toasters
I love the videos! Wonderful Job:)
this was a day before my birthday AND is also my fav train!
2:11 COMING IN HOT
Fast moving Amtrak faster than the ones in Illinois
One of the ones in Illinois goes from Washington , California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and up to Chicago. There are a few stops along the was where they switch out some cars though. I was on it coming back home from Arizona to Illinois. Although I'm sure you know that there are a few that serve a tri state area. IL, IN and I believe MO.. I could be wrong though on MO.
It looked like an old woman with a younger woman, mom and daughter I am guessing. The young one was about to cross and the older one had to say something. Those trains are fast, wow! Great video, awesome footage!
High speed ra is something else isn’t it?! Amazing footage good job!👍🚂
awesome catches, love the high speed
Heres an example of what NOT to do. - 1:54
This is outstanding! great shots.
Wonder how they're running today, in 2020?
Happy 10th anniversary to the train video that got me into my liking of Amtrak trains and trains overall.
