Train #2 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #582, with F59PHI #460 leading with it's AWESOME K5LA !!!
Train #3 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #591, with P42DC #47 leading a northbound on the Del Mar Train with it's third generation K5LA !!! F59PHI #450 trailing.
Train #4 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #784, with F59PHI #456 leading.
Train #5 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #1790 with P42DC #168 leading through avenida aeropuerto in San Juan Capistrano (which is a quiet zone as of March 18th, 2013) After the gates are up, you can hear the horn being blown through a private crossing a little over a mile south away. This location is about 50 miles north of Sorrento Valley.

Looking back at this in 2021 seeing Amtrak locomotive 47 at 3:20 still hurts knowing that it was involved in a terrible collision, and the destruction pictures show this same exact locomotive, but so many years later.
I feel bad for the 47 that got into a collision😢

47 done been all ever missed up way to retire sorry for any life lost this over all occurrence comes with developing tech to fast and the transition from old times to new with the engineers a lot young folk don’t fully understand to old ways and safe ways they think HQ got it right so no worries we ain’t in Australia mate
47 Was scrapped in February 2018 after crashing with a CSX train in South Carolina.
3:20 we've all know that P42DC number 47 would be in a collision that led to it being scrapped due to it being damaged very badly. (same thing happened to Amtrak Cascade's SC44 Charger number 1402 that was involved in the derailment at point defiance bypass) it's sad knowing that this engine is now gone. It really is sad...
Bro it's a piece of steel. Easily replaced. People died. People cant be replaced. Sad that people have to point this out to foamers.

How do they make a sharp turn at that speed going the other way towards the turn?
They be hauling the opposite way back, unless the curve is longer when zoomed out and smaller when zoomed in.
Or superliners and surfliners have the ability to do so
