Lights flashin', bells ringin', horns blarin'. I love to see all that awesome power haulin' ass down the rails. Plus the doppler effect as they fly by. It's great!
5 years ago (I think) I have always seen trainspotting videos like this since I was in a train loving phase, I may not be in it as much now, I'm all in on airplanes (since I was born lol, just been in other phases as well) I feel like a kid again today.... Brings back memories, gracias.... -Chicharone (coco)
I'm from Greece and I'm genuinely impressed by the railways in California. I always hear about infrequent routes, slow trains and that the trains there are mediocre compared to the European ones but after seeing this, I don't think it's so bad. I mean come on, I could easily spend an entire day riding and filming these trains.
I remember watching train videos everyday back in my childhood it was the best. I used to to live in san diego when I was a kid and I remember when my dad used to surprise me on some weekends and take me to go on the Coaster and we would go to the beach it was the best! Now its 10 years later and I live in Alaska now and hopefully I can go experience the Alaska Railroad that they have up here and maybe I could get some footage it would be nice
Bro I loved these vids so much because, when I was a little kid, I used to live in La and see these trains all of the time, and I saw these vids and I was like "hey I've seen these trains" "I've been on that". I love these vids even more now because they bring back memories of when I used to see these trains and ride them
even eyes closed ...in less of 5 seconds you know that you are in US !!!! that's what i like !! ...travelling through US by train must be an unic experience !it's my dream !!! greets from France !!
You should plan a visit and get a USRail Pass. There's nothing like riding through the Rocky Mountains and listening to the sound of the Diesels working hard.
While I love trains in general, the most stimulating aspect of them is the haunting, penetrating sounds of diesel air horns! Several years ago, I was on the deck of a boat on the lower part of Lake Champlain enjoying a cigar and cocktail at just past midnight, when I heard the distant sound of the Montrealer's air horns. To me, a magical, wonderful sound that has no equal.
Sadly here in Calgary, train horns, and church bells ringing don't exist anymore due tonier sensitive people who like a silent sterile environment! Sad! No life's
@@agems56 - Wow! That is sad for sure. I think those who have an issue with such wonderful sounds that most of us grew up with and still managed to survive, should move to the middle of the forest. But then, they would no doubt complain about the loud animal sounds!
Thank you for all of your beautiful videos. My 3-yr-old is a tad obsessed. He always asks to watch "the blue train" (this video). He loves them all, but is partial to this one. Keep up the great work! (We live in Colorado and I cannot *wait* to take him on the Durango/Silverton steam train (I'm sure that's not the correct term haha), especially after seeing it from your vids.

Thanks for posting this. I stop off at small town displays that featured retired locomotives, usually on a track with some historical plaque mounted on the fence. But I am always in awe of their sheer beauty - even though it's old tech. Amazing!
My daddy also worked for Illinois central railroad. He retired after 30 yes. I learned a lot from him about taking care of my back by wearing a large leather belt. The kind weight lifters wear. Getting a derailed train back on the tracks was hard work even with heavy equipment.
Hello I Am Brazilian! I Love Trains! The Vídeo Is Very Good! Grade Ten Of The Graphics! Thank Of The Video my God in heaven, I've been looking for this video because when I was a kid I was addicted to it, what nostalgia!!!
Bro. SO NOSTALGIC!!! Plus this is the first video I watched from this channel. Especially the clip in Carlsbad with it being dark and the rain, it just hits different from the rest.
I love the way you record the best part of the approaching train then move on.You don't record the entire train which, although a beautiful sight, can become boring to watch. You keep it exciting and thanks!
Can anyone answer this? Is a train such as the one at 4:56, (which has a passenger car in the front and a diesel engine in the back) being pulled by the passenger car, or being pushed forward by the diesel engine?
+PC Music Radio It is called a "Cab car". It serves only as a control cab from which the engineer can operate the train. Come back to my channel on February 5th for a full video about these cars and how they work.
