I loooove my hairstylist, but sometimes I’m at the salon at 8AM and I haven’t even had my first coffee at that point yet, so I like some silent me time sometimes! I appreciate that he is always so on point with the amount of chitchat though! My mom is way chattier with him lol, I sometimes feel bad.
This might sound funny, but I’d live a silent hair salon. I hate gossip and I’ve been to some salons that I would never to back to because of it

I had a neighbor in Roscommon whose uncle came up and hugged me the first time I saw him, and didn't give me the choice.. I was extremely uncomfortable and showed it, instead of backing off and apologizing, he forced it on me, and then gave me some lame a... excuse. You should always ask, give the person a choice, and respect their choice and accept "no" for an answer and back off. I felt violated.
Unless its about my hair, i don't like the small talk the person cutting my hair has to make up trying to be friendly. I appreciate the kindness but I like peace and quiet kinda like getting a massage unless I personally know the person. Otherwise it will be like are you married? How many kids do you have? What do you do for a living? If we are friends, no issue with talking to the stylist

This was straight up creepy and honestly looks like some grooming ( I could be reaching). Yet if kissing on the cheek has been normalized for them then who know how further she may widen those boundaries? I mean they are college aged but it’s still inappropriate in my eyes.
