Absolutely beautiful job! Considering I don't watch television anymore, you and Mike Day are my entertainment. To watch true masters at work is mesmerizing. I worked on large pads for Quonset huts in the Seabees in Port Whoneedsme for 5 years, I can appreciate the hard work it takes. Thank you for putting out this content on top of managing and working these jobs.
I love when i can see a crew like this, everyone stays busy and knows exactly what to do. Too have a crew like this one is a longstanding dream of mine, damn great job men!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband was a Vietnam vet he became a double amputee because of agent orange. I never noticed him anything but legs but I was always looking at things and place thinking immediately could he use that with ease of getting around. I really appreciate the job you did in the ramp and his ability to turn on the landing. Beautiful work
I thoroughly enjoy all your videos. Not only is your work professional and educational, but your voice overs are strangely calming and soothing. Well done!
LOL. I have no need to pour concrete - ever. Yet I watch your videos and it is so relaxing and satisfying. Your projects are so well done. Also, your commentary is appreciated.
Commitment towards providing facility for handicapped people is catching up everywhere, they are also excelling in every field as they have get a chance to exposure. Earlier they were confined to one place, getting frustrated . Really commendable and brilliant idea
enjoyed watching this process. im a little jealous of at that concrete pump though.. 35 years ago when i was a teenager i worked for a concrete finisher and pushed a wheelbarrow from cement truck to the dump site all day long . hardest work I ever did in my life. .
Watching all of you work is kinda like I would imagine watching a great artist creating his masterpiece. Each video has been amazing in the transformation of the customer’s home.
Duluth Firehose pants might be another good solution for your pour days. They come in various weights for summer/winter. They are unique because their inseam design allows room for the berries when kneeling and squatting.
ADA is Americans with Disability Act, that federally sets guidelines to assist those with needs accessing buildings. The only problem I think one would have is with the building codes inspectors or with a nonscrupulous lawyer, should someone fall out their wheel chair or other falls. There are no protection from dirty lawyers. I’m sure this ramp will work well for the homeowner.
Not sure if ADA applies to a private home in this case (unless it will be used maybe as a rental property?)...but knowing some cities in CA, the building inspectors/planning might have issues...Rosemead is probably one of the worst I deal with. Ridiculously picky about everything even if it's compliant.
@@charliegone1652 Correct, private residences are not held to those standards. If this was a commercial/public building you'd need a railing for any ramp/incline 6' or greater.
I was wondering about that. Even though it's a private residence, wouldn't the city still require ADA compliance to approve the plans? Or maybe this type of work doesn't require a permit?
I’m blown away by all this information… when I had my house built, these guys had no clue what they were doing. It saddens me all the cracks 😩 I live in southwest oklahoma, so hot and not much rain.
ADA is the American’s with Disabilities Act, they mandate codes for all handicap accessible spaces I deal with them all the time in the commercial world, great video!
I am so jealous. I wish I lived in your working area and had the money for the work we need, lol. I don't even need a ramp, but I would probably add one just to make our home more accessible.
Outstanding madman, great work. Thanks for all the great work, explanation and detail. I'm a carpenter tackling my own residence's concrete work. Long time follower, thankyou
Great work, both on the job and on the video! I love the final result. You are a work horse! I like the way you don't clutter up the video with stupid background music. Thank you for that!
I've been watching your work now for a while and always am impressed. I would love to come work for you and learn all I can to eventually start my own business. I'm 31 now and have pissed away most of my 20's learning a lot about things I don't like but recently got into landscaping for myself and just have tunnel visioned. I've done some smaller projects of my own, working towards contracting license, have taken as many courses available and have worked for some other landscaping companies. Just doesn't seem to be enough I want to shadow the best and be the best. If this is nothing more than a compliment to you well you deserve it but I am really interested. Currently in Arizona but can relocate!
Now THAT is how a proper concrete job is done! Guys like you guys are a dying breed...Semi retiring 35 year general contractor...All the guys I used over the last decades are dead or too old...:(... The younger guys want to retire on every job...:)...Good health and happiness to you and yours.
Looking good David !! Like the idea with the duct tape to hold the step forms together !!! I myself would have done that job in 2 pours . 1 pour ramp and steps and 1/2 that big parking area and then the rest on the second pour,,,only because I dont have 6 guys !!

I've did it that way to, now I've learned that there are easier ways
It's nice to see a job very well done. TXS.
Our pleasure!
Immaculate transformation!
A lot of people don't know how invaluable it is to have a curb underneath the railing, especially on a ramp. Makes a world of difference for safety.
Yes I wont build one without it
