Rahm gets that much carry with that short of a backswing is insane. It makes sense with Finau cause he’s really tall but Rahm is just insanely impressive
Rahm' swing is amazing. What is unique is that his up and down swing are at the same speed and he has literally an identical plane in both directions. That means that the swing has basically one feel throughout the entire swing. I think that is the key.
Michael Jordan said in an interview he’d choose to have Rahm’s swing over any other golfer in the world

Rahm is 188 cm, Finau 1,93 cm. Not so much difference. 188 cm is pretty tall.

It's insane how many of these clips are from Bryson - if he could tighten the other parts of his game, he'd be a legend.
His putting is one of the best so uh…. It’s really just his ball striking. When that’s on too he’s hard to beat. Only reason that went away was him trying to increase his speed. It’ll come back. I have a feeling this coming major season will be a decent one for him
I think Bryson’s driver is a gift and a curse. It’s such a violent motion that 1. It’s causes major strain on his body and 2. It’s hard to be accurate. IMO he doesn’t need to be that long off the tee . His long iron , short game and putting is great. He doesn’t need that extra 50 yds off the tee.

They do not create much power, their ballspeed was 180, that is really not fast nowadays.
@@anyexpat 171 is tour average. 180 is top 20 on tour. 180 is very fast
@@stephenwaskiewicz5012 180 is not fast, a 171 average player on tour can put up a 180 ballspeed. Tiger and Daly were mid 190s 25 years ago. It was fast in 2000 now its not.

I was thinking the same. Bryson and the others look like cavemen smashing the ball. No offense to them, I truly love their game, especially Bryson and JT. But yeah, Keith Mitchell made it look so damn easy with that drive.

I wonder how much is the new tech? 10 or 12 years ago I was getting 350-360 out of a a Ping TISI 8.5.
A lot of it is new tech. In 2000 you need to swing at 125 to get approx 300 yards carry and 185 ballspeed.. Smash is higher now, club is faster now and ball goes much further. Its around 10% based on what i can roughly calculate, i worked in golf for a long time and was very involved in early launch monitor and sim tech.

The only reason why I typed in "longest drive in golf" is bc It made me think of happy Gilmore and i was thinking yeah right a 400 yards drive is impossible and then I saw this clip and I was blown away.....this dude Bryson hits freaking bombs !!!!

The reason for the new driver rules explained in a video. Very fun to watch. Man they hit it soooooo far. Incredible athletic abilities.
I still think it is a dumb rule, if you are willing to take the risk and sacrifice accuracy for distance than you should be able to.
And what driver length are they all using when you make that comment?
As a complete noob, what is the rule change?
@@DigitalHayds They are basically trying to shorten the legal limit of driver length because it allows you to hit the ball further. I personally think the rule is dumb because hitting a longer club is much harder, so your are basically sacrificing your accuracy for more distance, but they do not want to allow it for some odd reason.
@@loganrhill oh that’s kind of interesting. This may be a dumb question but wouldn’t a longer club be a deterrent of its own then?

Yawn. That's all the big drives are good for; the highlights reel, and of course all the wayward ones get forgotten. De Chambeau's "experiment" is a failure. He would have won more ino by now if he played a controlled game instead of the slugging game.
These drives were great. The announcing left much to be desired. They need caffeine injections or something.
