Always a good day when you get a random hour long Avatar video recommended

I never thought Aang cut the wasp in half as you can clearly see a thin neck attaching the head and body. Whether it died is uncertain. However, it is saying something that the only time we see Aang use violence out vengeance is against to an insect (after he hit his lowest point) which is something that most people would harm without batting an eye. This reinforces just how Valuable life is to Aang.

Iroh has a line in the finale about how Zuko can't kill Ozai himself, because the world would see it as a continuation in the cycle of violence. Aang taking away Ozai's firebending is a way more politically/symbolically significant move and backs up Aang's claims of wanting peace between nations. I do wish that Ozai's lightning had been the thing to unblock the avatar state when Aang hesitated to shoot it back at him. Lightning, which is the purest form of firebending and has been exclusive to the royal family for centuries. Which is first explored in depth in Bitter Work, where Iroh goes over the qualities of each nation and stresses the need for balance between all four. The redirection of lightning in particular was learned by Iroh studying waterbenders, used by Azula to kill Aang in the earth kingdom, and finally taught to Aang by Zuko in the fire nation. It could have been an inverse to Zuko's story beginning, tie in with the Zuko/Azula duel and make Aang's choice of non-violence feel relevant in a more tangible way.

I think atla mostly is great but it has some bad episodes and some boring ones especially season 1 I just skip to zuko because the main gang doesn't feel connected at all.

This is fair, season 1 is generally considered the weakest for a reason. It also has some of the episodes considered the "worst" like The Fortune Teller, The Great Divide, etc. Although I think it does do a lot to establish these characters and the world so they can really run with the concept in seasons 1-2!

@@allartisbad the fortune teller is so overhated :( it's got some of the best comedy in s1 (maybe the whole show)

I'm now realizing that I have two sections both labeled "introduction"...so I guess we'll just say one is the ""pre-introduction"'
