My wife asks "Why don't people just send their bags to Louis Vuitton?" So, I say," Bedos remakes what Louis says can't be repaired." Steve is a pretty incredible talent.
Louis Vuitton has the curves ass hands
LV say thry cannot be repaired so you buy a new bag as do most manufacturers. It is not in their bank balance benefit to repair items. Much more money made selling the customer a new one!
Also if you send them back to LV and they approve the repair, it can sometimes take a really long time for the repair turnaround like 6 months to a year or longer before you see your bag again.
vintage Coach Collector I’m sure the third bag was an authentic bag. It’s a vintage bag made under The French Company. You can tell by the side lock.
vintage Coach Collector is a French co. LV
I think these prices are fair for the price of an LV in the first place. My father is a cobbler and he has over 30 years of experience. The most he charged for a repair on a designer bag be it a recondition, or broken strap is no more than $200 and people still think it’s outrageous. I’m gonna show him this video and tell him how much he could actually still charge and be fair. I believe his work is definitely worth more than $10-$200 jobs. Thank you for this video and your content.
It depends where you live.
Work in USA is very expensive, if you compare it for example to some Asia countries.
Raquel Herrera this is ART!! I know I would be so useless if I wanted to do this. I’m sure your father is very talented!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@Spazik86 Most "designer" bags are made in sweat shops in asian countries, dozens per hour. People are so enamored by name brands as validation and a badge of "I've got money". The people who will drop $1200 on a LV or Coach, balk at $800 for a hand made no name custom, because no one will be impressed by the label. Every serious custom maker will show you how the fast machine stitching and multiple hands assembling make it more of a mass produced Walmart bag than a true custom. Look at Marcellino's in NY or Peter Nitz in Switzerland, and gasp at those prices. Those are true high end bags.
2021 and Ive paid up to 500 on one bag for repairs....charge your worth.. time is precious 😘
@@Spazik86 Rarely does the hype match the claims. IF you find a genuinely good cobbler they are GOLD. Price is the least of it.
I save those “air pillows” that come in my online orders and use them to stuff my bags when not in use. Much better than newspaper or tissue paper.
me too
Or use small pillows?
Man the dude knows what he is doing
I JUST LOVE THE WAY YOU THINK WE ALL SOUND WHEN WE TALK
Hey man! Hahaha
You are giving new life to these old bags and they can be used for another 20 years❤
The sad thing is the guy that did the repair Probably looked at the bag and said I'm the MAN. Lol it's sad. I see it all the time in my trade. There is no more pride in the work these days. Luckily there is still a few left with pride in their work. That's why we watch it's nice to see. Thanks for the awsome videos.
Don't think I've ever made a comment before, Steve, even though I've been watching you for more than a year and a half now enjoying seeing the technique of a real artist who loves his work! I've picked up a lot of things from you in my daily life about how to repair things around the house and even having such a good attitude in general. You're a great teacher and maybe in your next life you'll be a heart surgeon doing the same type of RUclips videos, sewing people up & complaining about poor stitching technique while repairing the bad work of previous surgeons .
I clean Louis Vuitton for a living and I absolutely love it! I also do minor repairs and your videos always inspire me! Thank you for sharing your expertise!♥️♥️♥️
Strawberry Cream it actually takes a lot of practice and a lot of trial and error. It’s taken me yrs to figure out the best method. I’ve been on vaca the last 2wks but I’ll be back to work tomorrow. Check out my Instagram business page it’s @authentic_lvoe
Strawberry Cream most people who try to clean their bags themselves actually do more harm than good bc they don’t know what they’re doing.
Strawberry Cream I have before and after pics on my Instagram @authentic_lvoe
Check it out! You’ll be surprised at the difference it makes!
Happy birthday... when you get 57 you dont turn the numbers around anymore.
I am glad you are feeling better...
Give a hug to Zeus... big hugs from Belgium... 😘😘😘
YOU ARE GREAT, I DO THE SAME TYPE OF WORK AND HATE WHEN I HAVE TO DO REWORK FROM SOMEBODY ELSE, I MEAN NOT EVERY BODY HAS THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT, I THINK IS BETTER TO SAY NO THAN TO DO A BAD JOB, THANKS FOR THE GOOD JOB.
This is how you know Louis vuitton's quality has gone down. The vintage ones are being repaired because they were used for a long time . And the recent ones the quality has gone down so they need repair.
Nah, I would say it depends how people care about the item and how they use it.
Same leather bag can last a lifetime, someone else will ruin it in couple of years.
I suspect it's people with easy come easy go attitudes overfilling them in situations where a heavier duty bag would be more appropriate. I see people with £1,500 mobile telephone handsets stuffed in their back pockets who sit down with the handsets in their back pockets, you know the sort of people who don't have much money but like to give people the impression they have money through their consumption habits..
You seem to get a lot of LVs in there to begin with, but this is just on a whole new level.
They are very common.
I watched all of your Louis Vuitton repairs and just asked myself when will Steve post a new video with a Louis Vuitton bag that needs to be repaired. You are doing a fantastic work, and people in all repair industries should watch your videos and learn a thing or two, including principles and moral, which too many lack these days.
Steve Im really grateful you teach me a lot as a busy Businessman when I had time I repaired my wifes vintage bags which back in Europe we had a difficulty to find someone who can repair it without overcharging it majority in Moscow and Europe reqested the same if not the double amount of its material cost and you know those vintage items have always their good old memories.Wishing you the best God May Bless you Steve Greetings from Moscow
Happy Birthday Steve Great work yet again
*YESSSS* I'm in for a treat! _sits back with lit pipe and cup o' Joe, presses play_
The Louis Vuitton Repair Marathon got my attention.
Great video Steve... thank you so much for all the inspiration you have given me. I have a 15-16 year old cream colored Coach that has some stitches that need repairing... something that I now will be able to do myself!... thanks to you!!!
Also at 21:02... DUDE!!! you’re being so mean to your beautiful workhorse sewing machine!... that is such rough treatment... what has that machine ever done to deserve that kind of treatment??... please fill your bobbins the right way... please?... actually if you need it done, so that you aren’t damaging your machine, I would be more than happy to do it for you!!!... just let me know.
Time to drop whatever I’m doing; 46 minutes are gonna FLY
I HAVE to send steve a pair of my shoes to repair. His dedication to his craft is above and beyond. That and it would be awesome if he made a video out of them
either i'm watching too many of steves videos, or quarantines REALLY starting to get to me... 1 instance of hammer use, n i literally hollered out "hammer time".. scared the dog in the process.. send help LMAO!
😅
Félicitations pour le Chirurgien LOUIS VUITTON , magnifique travail 👍🇧🇪
An all cloth Neverfull! I love watching not only your repairs, but seeing some of the really vintage LV items. What nice work!
Steve ,we think your vlogs are better than tv ,👍🏻thank you for the time you put in them 👍🏻❤️🥇,thx we see you next time 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I can’t explain the excitement I felt when I saw this video pop up in my feed! Btw I would totally watch a 4 hour video from you, Steve. And I’d watch it on repeat. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rewatched many of your videos, including the 1+ hour LV bucket bag video which I’ve rewatched many, many times! You’re the best!
I Follow you from Casablanca morocco even if m'y english Is bad. every time good job.
Wow the best restoration ❤️❤️❤️
9:10 great rant from a perfectionist! An extravaganza of LV. Good to hear that you are feeling better.
I am watch your videos all day, your work is awesome❤️
Happy belated birthday, Steve. Thank you for another great video.
Love watching you. Glad you are better.
Wohoo marathon awesome picture and work like always!🔨👜 my fav videos to watch before going to bed its just so relaxing eventho you talk.
You should livestream. No editing videos for youtube, so less time consuming, and you can just interact with your audience while you work. Seems like a win-win.
With the past Happy Birthday Steve ! I wish you good health and good luck,up to 120 years !
Very impressed with your work. Have viewed several shows already. Remarkable !!!. Those bags from Louis look better now than ever.
You treat these bags a hell of a lot better then your customers. I cringe seeing how abused their bags are. You are a miracle worker!
I love to watch you fixing LV very informative ! no mention your humor (: thanks Steve
Steve I am so excited for this series! Haha. Had a tough day at work in the hospital and this is the best thing to watch to relax! Thanks for the distraction.
Enjoy seeing the view from the window!!
DAMN I wouldn't mind seeing (or having) all of those LV's in front of me! So professional with impeccable work ethic!
I can see you take pride in your work, and you go the extra mile. 👍
Most disappointing part of any Bedo’s video: “He (Zeus) is not here today.” (Amazing work, as always!)
Only disappointing part of Steve's videos- no Zeus 😘🐶 Not disappointing, but sad- the end of the video! We loves you too, Steve!😀👍🏼💕
I have a LV pouch (cosmetic bag) like the one shown here. It was purchased at an LV store 28 years ago. Never used it. The inside lining is peeling. Overpriced plastic coated canvas basically.
Lv, I like the model of the bags, but I hate the print of it... just wondering... never thougt of making your own design of handbags? I would love to see you make a bag that you design and make... I am certain it would be a gem...
Oh Steve -- as always great job. I love watching your videos. I wish you could be in NY city. My Louis Vuitton bag needs repair.
Good luck.
There is a way that you can ship your items to him... he has a website and you can communicate with him about your items.
@@loisgehman949 -- Thank you dear.
Happy Birthday Mr. Magic.......let's continue.
My wife had a LV for one year and the the thread on the upper part of the bag was unraveling. We went back to LV store for over 6 mo. to get them to fix it. After telling us they were discussing with LV in France. They finally heard from LV France and gave her a new bag instead of resewing the thread.
Happy Birthday!!! I am so happy you are feeling so very much.
I stuff all my bags with the plastic shipping pillows. Husband is always ordering stuff so they are free. Works perfect:)
I just love hanging out here watching you restore, it calms me down :D
Lol it’s 3am and I *needed* to watch this episode....... however at 27:35, I tried blowing the little piece of cloth/thread on the bottom of the bag off it..... then realized I was blowing air at the tablet screen. Embarrassed, I looked around to make sure no one saw me, then realized I also live alone. #BedoOverdose #WhenNotToContinue
I’m so glad you’re feeling better! I love watching your videos, especially when Zeus shows up!
Glad you're feeling better Steve, great repairs...👍
Omg Louis Vuitton day, I love this video already!
I‘m glad you are doing much better!
Love this new Video and the way you repair those bags. If I would live in the states I would send you all my bags which needs a little bit of love and help. Sunny greetings from Germany!
Happy belated birthday, Steve! I am glad to hear that you are feeling so much better; stay well. I love this video, and can't wait for the other parts of it. What incredible skill you have.
So much skilled work and crafting required. Well done my friend.
Another great video!!
Love your videos keep up the good work and glad you are feeling better
it is really nice to see craftsman dedicated to their work.
I love the dedication you have to you projects and your clients! 💕
He is the best👌👌
I look at you doing this and I say to myself, man he must be the happiest man in the world, your doing something you love (and you must cause your very good at it) and you get paid mucho money for it. Kudos to you.
My first time watching you, and feeling vindicated at using stainless steel razors for dressmaking ripping out and mending. Here you are, just cutting the thread. People think I’m nuts, I’m not. Love it. Thanks.
Love ya! Thnx for the huge pile. Laughed at all those..you are amazing, no wonder why all those people trust you with their repairs. Fighting!!💪👍🏼
I either keep the original bag stuffing upon purchasing, or I use the clear bubble wrap to hold my purses shape. I always use the dust covers. I also use this type of wrapping inside my genuine leather loafers & boots. It extends the wear by preventing cracks.
#3 turned out great I hope the customer was pleased. I wish it were possible to send a link to this video to heaven, my wife would enjoy watching this one also. Thanks for sharing your work bedo.
Lol I love the way you voice the complainers, only it’s made me completely morbidly curious about how the complimenters sound to you 😂 don’t know if I want to know but damn, I want to know at the same time! 😂😂😂😅😂😂😂
“Let’s continue!” Cut off, “let’s continue!” Cuts off. Lol why do I find this consistency so funny? 😅😅😅😂
Love the attention to detail and love you put into the things you repair! 💖👍
Louis Vuittathon! Best repairs I've seen.
Wow...watching it from being to end...😊
Oh my god if I got a repair job like that second bag you showed with the small stitches I would have blown a gasket!!!!!😡😡😡😡 talk about ruining a bag. Oh my God some repairers are just hacks with no sense of aesthetics or beauty. Wow I can’t get over that hack job, but thank goodness you came along and fixed it. now it’s a beautiful bag and it can stop crying and go on for another 20 years.❤
Omg. Double feature. Best part of my day. Glad you're feeling better. Keep up the good work!
i love watching you fix bags!! need more lol
Just love watching you Steve, brilliant job as usual.
“We can rebuild him, we can make him better, faster, stronger.” Refers to Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man. 1970s. I didn’t even have to research that one. It was my favorite TV show and I owned the action figure with the bionic eye and rocket ship. Too bad I gave it away. I’m holding on to my Got Sandor “The Hound” Clegane action figure with the double sword.
It does, but who was the woman - ? Different show - kind of
@@suzyqc7607able The Bionic Woman. Spin-off of the Six Million Dollar Man. Lindsay Wagner played Jaime Sommers
@@suzyqc7607able She did start on the $6 Million Man before she got her own spin-off. She cost more than him. I think both her legs were bionic, and not just one, random fact. Apparently, I need a life. Don't even get me started on Game of Thrones.
The wife picked it up For me 20 years ago at a DAV thrift store just as it came in. What a lucky day as we couldn't afford it when I was younger. Loved the series so much bought it thru Time Life (high). Wished the grandkids would show interest
@@shopahauliquewithjacquelin7025 what about Wonder Woman that show was popin. great to see this art on YT keep at it steve austin lol
Wowowowow! I'm so excited to watch this! Thank you for sharing.
Excellent as always Steve, am one of your earliest followers. I can't wrap my head around the fact that the people giving you the jobs find the prices fair and are happy with the end product but whats the problem with these keyboard idiots complaining. Simple question... Where will they find another craftsman who can guarantee a perfect job? What you pay is not just for the pieces of leather, thread and glue. It's for the years of experience, expertise and guarantee of a perfect job.
It's this attitude of the majority that has created this use and throw society and skilled workers have lost their relevance. You say you care for the planet, refurbish your products, get it fixed re-use, even recycling leaves a carbon footprint. Stop whining, start working.
6 million dollar man. (We can rebuild him. better, faster, stronger ). LMAO! Love the videos.
I scrolled all the way down to see if someone knew that Steve's quote came from the Six Million Dollar Man. That was the quote from the intro as Steve Austin was on the operating table. I'm 50 years old, that's how I know. C'mon what kid from the 70's DID NOT watch the Bionic Man? 👍That was our action movie man back then (along with Evil Knievel) Remember that action figure?
Steve, wonderful work as always! Glad you're feeling better! Let's continue!
You’re a good man steve. I always appreciate how you go above and beyond to fix shoddy craftsmanship.
Thanks a lot for sharing. You are a joy to watch.
Happy birthday
Kets get 100,000 subs!
Well done for so much patience! I would be going crazy. Funny, the first Ad on your video was for Spam! Haven’t eaten that since I was a kid in the 60’s. Btw. 6 million $ man.
Great job again. It is great to see how you restore the bags. You're a guy who knows his trade. Thanks, greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
The master does his gr8 work! I sure enjoy ur demos! And the bags look like they’ve seen better days! Take care sir!
Man you are worth every penny bringing these bags to life. Awesome work and craftsmanship 👍
Steve, you super master. You have a lot to learn!
Glad to see you’re doing well Bedo! Stay safe out there!
So thankful you are feeling better! ✝✡
This guys is an artist!
I love watching your channel , you make me laugh and I love to watch how you fix these items , you put some much work into every item x
O, Man! Lot of work! 👍
Love watching the behind the scenes. I think I just love anything bag related. You’re extremely talented. Keep up the videos please. 😃
😃 love your commentary, you are very skilled. True artist. Thank you for sharing.
You crack me up! Lol. I could watch you all day! Amazing work! I just wish you lived near me. I also feel like the quality of the materials of LV has changed over the years because of the heighten popularity. Out of all the luxury bags you’ve brought back to life, which brand is your favorite to restore?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE ( IT'S HAMMER TIME ! )🎂🎂🎉🎉🔨🔨🔨
I’m a Louis Vuitton fan and I love seeing your methodical repairs to give these old pieces a new life. I love seeing you ripping them apart lol
Another fantastic video - Steve is a master craftsman!
Great work Steve 👍
