Would love to see the ultra swede line updated with these new features. Maybe even go jumbo stainless instead of medium jumbo.

Hey Hagstrom! The new line is cool, but the price is too high for me! I will be buying a 2022 Swede Tiger Burst. I have a question about the pick ups. Are they the same as the ones in the Swede Dark King from 2017 - Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 on the brigde? The guitar looks the same minus the treble bleed and the pickguard. Even the black chrome is there. I kinda got tired of my all black Dark King and this Tiger Burst is an eye catcher for sure!

I hope someday you reissue the 70s Swede with the orangey mahogany colour 🫶

Well said bud, pour him a round. A Swede with the original thick cutaway, witch hat knobs and that unique mounted pickguard, original fret markings and the classic headstock flower. It would be great if it wasn't so shiny. Make it more matte but not completely matte. Kind of like what Epiphone did with the 1959 LP.

@@Poldek.Misiak Thank you! I have an early 2010s (not sure the exact year) mahogany gloss Swede, almost an oxblood colour, and it's the most unique and aggressive sounding guitar I own. Wish Hagstrom sold those Swede pickups individually as I'd put them in every guitar I own haha. A shame they've switched them out for this new run as they're super unique sounding

@@Harford1171 I also had a made in China Hagstrom Swede from around 2010 in Cherry Red finish. I really regret selling it but it was heavy for me at the time. The pickups had a nice beefy sound. Back then, these guitars weren't that expensive either. Now they want €1,000 for the new ones. I couldn't believe it when I saw the price. Way too much for a guitar made in Asia. They used to sell Northern Series made in Europe for that much. I understand inflation and that stuff but I prefer to spend less on Gretsch or Epi.

@@Poldek.Misiak yeah when I bought my first Swede it was about £400, I’ve seen these new ones are around £1300 😅 if they hadn’t deviated so much from the original Swede design I may be tempted in the future but you’re right, for that money they should be made in Sweden

Great sound, but I was hoping for a longer video and some clean tones. I have mixed feelings about these new releases. I really like the new finishes and the shaping of the neck joint. New cool truss rod cover and pretty metal knobs. What I don't like most are the new fret markings, especially the 12th fret. It took me some time to notice that it was the company crest. At first I saw it as some white spots. I think someone here made a bad design decision. Maybe add some white border to this crest to know what it is at first glance. I also don't like the fact that the classic mother of pearl flower on the headstock has disappeared. The wording on the headstock "Swede" is acceptable, but that "Super Swede" is too wide written and almost overlaps the Hagstrom logo. I have a feeling that you wanted to resemble the LP inscription of another famous guitar brand. It's better to be unique. The old Hagstrom has made their best guitars with their own brilliant unique style.
Overall I think these releases are fine but more for modern guitar players who may not like the look of the old ones. As for my opinion, I'd rather see the exact reissues of Swede and Super Swede from the 70's. With every detail and at a reasonable price. That would be awesome.

There are actually more videos coming very soon, which demonstrate all of the tones from these guitars. Stay tuned!

I agree with the fret markings. :) It's a bit hard to see that it's the logo, it just looks like a blob hehe. imo they should do something unique here. I love when there are flowers on the frets (like on more expensive models sometimes).
Other than the markings, beautiful guitar.
I only play metal, so I don't want any old school guitars. I just want guitars for metal and I like Hagstrom cause it's Swedish \m/. WOuld prefer if they were still made here tho. But like every single other brand.. I guess they are made in indonesia or something

@@LordOfSweden In my opinion, they should also make a series of guitars for guitarists who want the real classic Swede and Super Swede. It would be great if they kept every detail of their guitars from the 70s. Guitars can be made in Indonesia, but the most important thing is that they should be affordable because times are hard. They make great guitars in Indonesia. PRS built a huge factory in Indonesia for their SE line.
If you play metal, check out Mayones guitars from my country 🤘🏻

@@Poldek.MisiakNo I don't like it. Ibanez is made in indonesia, Schecter is made in indonesia, jackson is made in Indonesia...
Everything is made there now. Or China, or Vietnam.
I don't like it. I like to the companies to be in our countries and support jobs here. Plus I think the QA is usually higher, hence why for example Japanese made Ibanez is so much more expensive and sought after.
At least I don't think Hagström makes any guitars in Sweden, im not sure. Maybe some custom guitars.
But yeah.. of course price is a concern as well these times and for younger people or people with no money, like me! heheh.
Price wise it's always hard to know what you get before trying a guitar. What you want in a guitar imo is the QA relaiabbility. Id est, no too high frets, off intonation, you know things like that. QA is extremely important.
About the fret, maybe they could put the lillies as fretmarks? That would probably look cool. Or maybe the 3 crowns of Sweden. Which is our national mark.

@@LordOfSweden I think the last Hagstrom that was made in Europe was Hagstrom Northen Swede. But I don't know if these were made in Sweden.
Of course I agree with you. I also wish guitars were made in their own countries. But we live in bad corporate times. What matters now is to make a cheap and good product and get the brand into import sales, because it is more convenient for the corporations.
Interestingly, workers in guitar factories in the United States do not earn much. A worker at the Fender factory in California earns less than a waiter at a fast food restaurant in California. I am not joking. People talk about slavery in Asian factories, but it's not that better in the US. We are heading into dark times my friend.
Take care man, and come to Poland to the next Slavs and Vikings Festival in Wolin.
      I'm inviting you.
