Why did they test only the buttons for 10 years of durability, but not the actual analog sticks? Other than that, the Xbox controller is one of my favorite controllers. I really like the quick sync button that lets you switch between synced devices with a double tap
I can't think of anything else to be improved on the controller. I've got the basic one with my Series X, the Forza Edition one, the 25th Anniversary one and Series Elite 2 one. Top satisfaction with all of them.
The elite series 2 grips fall apart and once it starts the whole thing starts to come apart literally at the seams. Use it very sparingly. It obviously can’t handle human sweat over a period of time as it eats away the glue. Sadly I didn’t learn after the disastrous serious 1 and have purchase 4 in total and all of them are falling apart. The standard controllers are way more robust.
Well isn’t this convenient timing? 👀👀 I just bought the Xbox Steller Shift controller bc I’m obsessed with Purple and I’M NEVER BUYING A DIFFERENT CONTROLLER! 😍😍
The Elite controller wants a word, the durability of the bumpers, especially last about 6 months IF you’re lucky. Same can be said for the stick drift.
something i learned about Xbox controllers, is that you can have 2 controllers assigned to a profile at once. for certain games i will have two controllers on one controller to perform certain task and then i will pick my other controller if i need my character to do something specific. probably not what it was intended for but in came in handy when my best controller right analog was broken and it couldn't click. but yeah 2 ontollers to control one character like in Elden ring, Monster hunter etc.
I do enjoy the Xbox series X controller. Personally it’s my favourite controller but with all the money they spend on developing these things could we please have one where the D pad is not so bloody noisy. I mean really clicking D pad I have four controllers and they’re all as nosy as each other, and they’re brand-new
This has been my issue since the Xbox One which wasn't that loud but noticeable when compared to other controllers(Sony/Nintendo). But For some reason Xbox thought the Xbox One dpad wasn't loud enough and doubled down on Series controllers. Its so bad that I really don't like to play fighting games or 2D platformers due to all that clicking.
3 million presses? I had my series S controller replaced twice for stick drift. But I can confidently say my 3rd controller is holding up nicely for over a year now
I’ve had many controllers die before 3mil button presses. Even had a series 1 elite die in 3 months of daily use (cod gaming w/ eso) xbox support stated they wouldn’t honor the warranty on it due to mass failures in operation! Main buttons that failed on now 6 different controllers from orig xbox one to the series x/s controllers are the bumpers as well as the Xbox (home) button failing to register being pressed.
Don't get me wrong I love Xbox but I have gone through about three controllers now in the last 2 years. The left analog stick always ends up drifting for me.
100 million development costs and the Elite 2's A button still doesn’t work properly, even after replacing the whole thing 4 Times in a row (each brand new)...thanks Amazon Germany, for replacing it so often. I accepted the A button issue, pushing it with some force each time does it somehow...not superior or elite like experience, but that's what quality stands for nowadays.
Xbox controllers are great but accessories like the Elite Controller and the batterys are expensive. I'd love just 1 more normal controller but the cost of living is killing us all.
xbox fan here. Love my xbox, shifted after 20 years with playstation. When are we getting xbox adaptive triggers? Playstation copying xbox w game pass, backwards compat, why cant we copy adaptive trigger pad n call it sthing else?❤ xbox. Some one tell me if there already adaptive trigger xbox pad i can buy.
Both my standard series controller and elite controller arrived with poorly functioning A buttons. If they are meant to last 10 million presses each, that is lottery odds to have 2 failures on day one. Or could microsoft be stretching the truth slightly.
The amount of controllers I've gone through due to cheap parts over the years from Xbox I got my hands on the first elite controller which broke in the first 2 months had to get it sent back and repaired. Brought a new one while that was getting fixed they are now both broken due to bumpers B button not working at stick drift. I got the elite 2 now which has better parts but I literally got a week past the year mark for warranty and the bumpers have now broken on it funny how they start to break after the year mark just a way of them getting you to spend more money each year lol. Will be looking at getting a elite 2 core edition as its cheaper than buying the full package again which I don't need the pure white one is on sale at 107 at the moment I wanted the blue one but the colour scheme on that one look ridiculous it has a weird white back plate with a blue front and black grips great job Xbox nice mix match of colours ! Even a design labs controller takes at least a month to build and ship. I would go for a Scuf controller but they have a stupid price tag on them at 200 +
It’s a shame the Elite Series 2 is just a waste of money and a heap of junk though. Beautiful to use but abysmal build quality where the grips just peel off and the plastic joins on the handles come apart. It may be ok to get it replaced for an ordinary one but I am stuck with an expensive special edition a halo one that fell apart as they only replace them with a standard edition one under warranty. Never again. The standard edition one barely lasted a year before that fell apart and series 1 was even worse. These expensive controllers are the worst piece of equipment from Xbox yet. Along with the Halo 5GB game drive that also barely lasted a year and now won’t read data. This is not an Xbox Oem product but it still bears their name. I will never trust their so called premium accessories ever again after losing hundreds of dollars on them.
It is quite comfortable. However, the current controller is very basic and just a boring controller. The PS5 has a better controller by far. A share button, remapping and haptic feedback is not innovation.
The Xbox controller has always stayed faithful to it's original but with more modern features, it is my favourite controller of all time.
You mean the "duke"?
@@JV-ll1cu that's the one, couldn't remember the name of it.

My question exactly.
The Series X controller is my most favourite controller of all time.
3 million presses shame the buttons don't always work

I think it is too small. The 360 controller was the best

Actually never knew about that double tap sync button feature. Thank you for that💯💯

The 360 controller is my favorite and i am super excited to hear that Hyperkin is making a series x/s verson of it in comming in June!🎉
I agree with you. And thanks for the info!

Greatest...damn...gaming controller EVER!💚😌
Whaaat! It has haptic feedback? But not like Dual sense controller right?!

You might have buttons that work a long time but I am sure your sticks won't, the one that came with my series X died within 3 months.
Truly waiting for the elite series 3
Fix the god damn face buttons already and go to Hall effect sensor joysticks.

I Have Xbox series S and normal controller, ja IT worth buy another and New colorful controller? ☺️
Great video 👏👏 keep up the good work 💪
The Xbox controller is very comfortable for me.
Xbox 360 controller still the best as far as I’m concerned
3 million presses and 3 clicks until the bumpers give in 😜😂
I like the controller but TBH durabilty of the analoge sticks is lagging. It's my second controller in a year suffering from stick drift😑😑😑
Don't get me wrong I love Xbox but I have gone through about three controllers now in the last 2 years. The left analog stick always ends up drifting for me.
My series X controllers feel worn out already and it’s only been a year & half.

If that the case why the elite controller having problem

Haha I've gone through 3 controllers since getting the series x... still dreading the stick drift heading my way after buying the Elite controller😂
Same here, always the left analog stick from running in games. I fixed 2 myself and on my 3rd one now
3 million press before it breaks i have probably got half way to that

Durable? Are you referring to the 100% failure rate of the Elite bumpers and sticks🙄
Who cares about controllers we are tired of it and those stupid colors, we need quality exclusive games
Very true, I'm not even looking forward to starfield at this point it's for sure gonna be another flop
We do need some good single player exclusives.

Its hard to press the the 360 Xbox buttons because the controllers are weird
there's no "haptic feedback" -_-
... And stick drift.
Yeah, they mention button presses, but my left stick dies LONG before a button gets close to being wonky.
I prefer xbox one controller.. I use it instead on my Xbox s
xbox has haptic feedback? 👀
That is not true my control doesn't work at all my x and my button
Wow that why I switch to xbox
xbox really paid 100 million to just not re release the xbox 360 controller
