I Finally Fixed the Audio on my Firestick!

- I was experiencing issues with audio on my Fire TV Cube while using a sound bar and when trying to fix it, nothing seemed to work. Then I found a solution that worked and now I have no out of sync audio issues on Firestick or Fire TV Cube. Because there's nothing worse than getting comfortable and the sound is way out from the movie you're watching.
There are a few different things you can do to fix the audio on your Amazon Fire TV device and we will go through each one you can try in this video. The likely hood is after watching this video your Firestick audio will no longer be out of sync and it should work perfect.

Had my stick a year with no issues....yesterday everything was out of sync...stumbled across this vid and the disable HDR worked. I dont have sound bar as stick goes directly into HDMI slot on a 4kTV (with HDR oddly) but for some reason it went out of sync. Its fixed now. Thank you

I had an audio problem between my 3rd generation cube and soundbar. I switched to pcm and it took up to a minute for the sound to work. My soundbar is using an optical cable. I don't understand why when you switch to pcm it takes so long to switch but it does. I haven't had an issue since. Thanks for the update video 👍

Display processing takes more time because the high content bit rates are nominally 1.5MB or above. Audio is generally 96Kb to 192Kb. All TV processing involves a delay timer Physical and/or software to sync the two streams. Your bouncing ball demo is a software add on to adjust that delay of the audio. HDR is extra video display processing to enhance the video and as you said more delay required. Sometimes extra equipment such as the sound bar can cause issues with sync. Many will apply a standard delay for the audio input and the sound bar will not be able to process the increased (HDR) video rate fast enough so the sound will be out of sync. Most sound bars have a menu somewhere to allow adjustment of audio sync.

Hi Adam. Love all your stuff & appreciate everything you do. So thank you. I would just like to share with you & anyone else who may be interested on this issue of sound. I have a Panasonic SA-PT460 DVD player(YIP) player. Which is a 5.1 surround sound system. I do not use the DVD for obvious reasons. I have an Android box & also a Fire Cube 3rd Gen. I use a fibre optic cable attached to TELEVISION from the Panasonic. I have never attached the aforementioned cable to Android box & as you are perhaps aware, there is no facility to attach it to the Fire Cube. That all said & done, what i find incredible is that when I do a 5.1 surround test on RUclips via Android/Fire Cube. The Fire Cube wins hands down on recognising all speakers individually, but not on Android box. Anyway Adam, I just thought I would give you that information. If it helps anyone KOOL. Keep up the good work.😀

Frustrating isn't in it, I was gonna throw all my fire stuff in the sea lol. I set my cube up perfectly, even changing the Channels for me on my tv, but I decided to add a Amazon kids Alexa to the mix and all sorts went wrong, no sound from tv, fire cube or soundbar, all other alexas in the building worked 100% but not the Fire Cube or the kids alexa... phew! As we speak, I'm factory resetting the Fire Cube in the hope that will give me sound on something lol. You still havent sorted out the volume issue on these videos. Ive mentioned it a few times already. The volume seems to be half to 3/4 of other videos on youtube. Loving your work.
I did increase it bud but if it goes too high then you start to hear all the background noise, breathing etc. I’m working on it though and thank you for the feedback Graham 🍻
OK - bought 3rd gen cube and whatever I did with audio did not help. The sync adjust did nothing, still 2 seconds out!
I'm normally good with this kind of stuff but ran out of patience and reverted back to the older cube.

Changing the hardware encoder on mx player can help as well. I recently switched from an optical cable to a HDMI arc which helped.
That's wierd because I did exactly the opposite to fix mine. I tried everything I could think of with my HDMI ARC cable connected and just could not get the soundbar to stay in sync. So I gave up and switched to an optical cable and that fixed it, I've had no problems since.

Had to change the settings on the TV- delay audio, delayed it as much as we could and then used AV sync to slow it down by one bar and finally worked! Had nothing but issues with firestick so hoping this is it 🤞

I have display and sounds. Please help. Insignia sound bar about ten years old with new Toshiba fire tv. I just switched to PCM and no weird noises so far. I was getting like odd noises, not from the program but like wires crossed weird sound.

Pcm won't give you Dolby digital I think, it'll be 2 channel something like that, the thing I can work out is playing Dolby Atmos on fire TV cube doesn't register on my Samsung qn90a, always greyed out, maybe need Atmos compatible soundbar probably
I have an audio problem, in that the volume button on the remote does not work. The only time I have got it to work, is when using a Bluetooth ear piece. 4k max. So I have to use the television remote control. I have told Amazon, they sent me a new remote control, the sound of that doesn't work either. The rest of the remote is fine. Any ideas?

Is it possible to have the audio stay when I turn my tv off so I can listen to a movie on my earbuds and have my tv off but my actual fire stick on?
Sync problem fixed by hooking up HDMI e-Arc to Soundbar and to TV HDMI e-Arc input. I then attached a regular HDMI from Soundbar to the HDMI Input on Fire TV Cube. Then used another HDMI cable from the Out on Fire TV Cube to the regular HDMI input on TV.
Notes: Current Fire TV Cube & Pro Remote, Samsung soundbar, Samsung Smart TV, two HDMI cables and one HDMI e-Arc cable.
Audio problem: At first I could set Audio adjustment at 16 to 20; I now have the Audio adjustment set at 40 to 45. Before I hooked up the 2nd HDMI cable from Soundbar to input on Fire TV Cube, the Audio adjustment was up around 73 to 79.
I am not sure how to get Audio back down to the 16 to 20 adjustment level..?
I have a Hisense tv, the firestick will turn the tv on and off but it will not adjust the sound, any suggestions please? Thanks.

I would have this issue about once or twice a month with my Firestick 4k. I would simply restart the stick and it would fix it every time.
I now have the 4k Max (for well over a year now) and I have yet to have this issue.
mine was working... then it would stop about half hour in and go out of sync. Sometimes it will sync up for a moment. Now I can't get it back. On the sync tool I can get it to make noise with the blink, however its literally off one full wave so while it looks "in sync" its off by one full blip lol.
I had a similar issues when I bought a 65-inch TCL TV. It didn't play nice with my Android box with the audio.
Display & Audio/HDMI CEC Device Control - Turn Main Control switch off, then turn it back on. Note - This worked for me, but on a different device which was an ONN. Might help someone. Have a great day!

Hi Michelle. Did you hear this from Monster box themselves. The whole point of them charging so much is that you get lifetime access, although they do say minimum 5 years. 🍻

I had problems with my firecube....I put my SkyQ box through the hdmi in port...I got pictures but no sound....I bought some new HDMI cables as mine were quite old.... Fixed it no problem....

When using the"K" app with a build installed, some addons work with media codec "on" some "off". Also gui resolution off, and display refresh rate off/on, minimise black bars....HQ scalers . between diff links. Searching for a universal setting! Lol 🤓

PCM worked for my surround sound system environment (no sound bar)
My issue is: NO AUDIO AT ALL. Happens on my 4K Firestick (not Max). I have to reboot the stick, sometimes two or three times. Google suggests this is a known issue for the 4K stick, but there don't seem to be any magic answers other than to reboot.
I got a firestick 4k max and once and while with sound gets all choppy, like a strobe light, either have to restart or force close the app. Never happened on any other sticks
Tried the AV synch with no acceptable result. Turning off HDR worked great with the default factory sync setting!

Eyup Adam. I e had that problem in the past but can't for the life I me, remember how I fixed it. But here's a massive tip for ya..... A month ago my screen became quite dark and almost serpia like in appearance. I fixed it by asking someone, they advised me to go into "Dynamic Range Settings" and change from Always HDR to " ADAPTIVE".
Clear as a bell now pal. So if anyone else has the same problem, give it a go 👍🏻TARA
