Very Nice! Always need something in a tavern besides your normal dice game.
We used to have entire sessions of games like jousting, archery, and wrestling when I was a kid. Full tournament bracket full of NPCs and Pcs. Thanks buddy!

I like adding a simple modified version of Rock paper scissors (no redo on ties)... based on the strategy of each contestant called "Defense, Balance, Aggro" before each contested roll... both sides declare their strategy and if a side "wins" this rock paper scissors showdown, then their strategy gives them advantage on that round's roll.
That sounds fun! Cool idea! And, I dunno why, but I always seem to pick rock.
You know, this could be applied to any game or sport. Just a little tweaking to the relevant Abilities & Skills, and Bob's your uncle 💡

You know, you listed a lot of skills 4 skills and a raw mental score intelligence So a chess game could still be best 3 out of 5, starting with a Chess Set roll, insight, deception, a raw intelligence check, and a final chess Set roll if no one has won yet. Less math that's not already in the character sheet, amd still weights chess proficiency higher

Having triple proficiency from set proficiency and double intelligence bonus makes this feel way too complicated as well as unfair when playing against NPCs that don't have class levels. I would leave the set proficiency at the intelligence bonus as just single multiplier and only add insight instead of insight and deception. Just that triple proficiency from being proficient in the chess set already makes the player astronomically better than someone who is supposed to be a genius at chess but doesn't go on adventures, making an average joe adventurer stomp the supposed chess master who is 40 years older than the adventurer and has been playing chess since they were a child, all because the NPC doesn't have a high proficiency.
Great feedback, thank you! As is, It does give a bit of predicament with non-adventuring NPCs so I will probably create a non-adventurer proficiency table at some point.
My hopes for this video is that GMs like the idea enough to create their own rulesets. :-)
