That's a few things I see as possibilities of things we'll see in a potential May Playstation Showcase.
I think The Last of Us 3, Santa Monica's new IP, Horizon Online and a few other things are still coming, but we won't see them here.
I hope to see Kingdom Hearts 4 the most but i wanna see some gameplay to a lot of those and release dates!
I dont care how big other games are, I just want a release date for the Until Dawn rebuild. Hopefully that gets announced in either the rumored showcase, or summer game fest.

Seriously miss Socom. It was different, one life, squad based game that is so sorely missed. Sony dropped the ball trying to make Socom more like COD and 4r's single player.. ugh. It's ok.. but it didn't fit the Socom story mold at all. Hey Sony! Remember that survey you posted of games we wanted to see get remade and socom won by a landslide? We do! What did we get first? Sly Cooper. Where was that on the list? Down towards the bottom. Sigh
If the rumors of the Horizon TV series are true and it's going to be a prequel about Elisabet Sobeck and project Zero Dawn, it still has the potential to be engaging without Aloy. It's literally the end of the world being consumed by the Faro Machine Plague. Sobeck is Aloy (and vice versa), and the pre-Zero Dawn timeline has tremendous "last stand" battles against the hordes. So, the series can still work and be action packed. Especially, since Elisabet sacrifices herself to protect Zero Dawn to ensure humanity's survival at the end. Also, I would love for SOCOM to make a comeback.

We know what Insomniac is doing, their entire slate was leaked, Venom: Lethal Protector is coming next year & Wolverine is coming in 2026.

Internal roadmaps rarely reflect how reality goes, that’s why people aren’t informed of this information because things can change suddenly and frequently. We can sit here and say that we know what’s going to happen because an old document leaked lol. We just have to wait and see what the studio actually tells us

I played XDefiant all day yesterday and it was a blast
To supplement sonys need for a first person shooter, they should reboot the Resistance franchise as an open world, survival rpg with up to 4 player coop. I think it can be their answer to multiple things at once and the resistance franchise has enough depth in its world to carry that along with the excitement of nostalgia. Resistance 2 was legendary and 3 kinda just suffered from poor timing on release i think.

I'm way more interested in the Sobek story for the Horizon show. No way they'd be able to pull off a full on post apocalypse machine world convincingly on a TV budget.

The only live service thing that didn't work was factions. The show and gran turismo worked. And you've still got concord and marathon coming.
Spider Man 2 was def my game of the year for 2023… excited for DLC! I truly improved in every way over the original. I was engaged every step of the way

If we're talking PS2 games, one game I never hear anybody talk about is Shadow of Rome. That game was class. The stealth levels were proper shite, but the gladatorial battles were sensational.

Just going to clarify that agent venom is not Eddie Brock but instead flash Thompson either way just saying if you're bringing in agent venom you should bring in flash Thompson if you're bringing in regular venom and can't have Harry bring in Eddie Brock. But I would say having flash Thompson might be a good idea because unlike Eddie Brock you would already have a pre-established history of why he's trying to help and why he doesn't exactly like Peter Because he is Peter's bully from high school and he was in the military we can keep all that stuff. And it would give him a reason to want to use the venom symbiote being crippled during war giving him motivation to be venom and have ask sympathise with it

We literally went through a torn down X-Mansion n Spider-Man. I would love DLC. I feel like carnage needed to be full on sequel or Venom’s primary antagonist for his game.

As much as everyone complained about the Last of Us Part I Remake it strategically hit in just the way they intended. It released just in time for the tv show to entice tv viewers. I think the Horizon Zero Dawn remake is absolutely being teed up to hit when the Horizon series comes out. I equate The Last of Us adaptation & Fallout show as the Superman 78 and Batman 89 of the video game adaptation industry. The North stars that all other adaptations can look to to prove they can work. It’s my hope that Mass Effect can be the Iron Man/MCU juggernaut of game adaptations. It’s so ripe for that, if done well.

My dream superhero games are a Daredevil game with Spiderman traversal/open world & brutal Arkham style combat! My other white whale/bucket list Marvel game would be an Ant-Man game! If you can crack the code for a way to incorporate shrinking and enlarging at whim to solve problems in an open immersive sim like world it could be amazing!

So insomniacs future plans dropped, and uh, spider-man 2 dlc was not on there, so it's not coming. Also its like 20-30 hours long, people like you are the reason valhalla is like 150 hours long.
@dattos140 I think the big issue with that game for me personally was that story was spread too thin to adequately cover both Spider-Men. I think the story of the first game was a lot stronger.
Spider-Man is fun to play, but the game version of Miles Morales is an annoying, punk ass chump.

Gotta be honest after Miles and Spiderman 2 Id prefer something far away from Peter or Miles and their respective romantic interests. Combat is great but the story has definitely been a miss overall so Venom focused would be great.
Also coop was such a missed opportunity for Spider-Man 2 so maybe Venom & Carnage could capitalize on it
